Great that you made us aware of the use of lens compression and thanks for the link. I had a quick read but will go over it again in detail. I naively first started woodland with only a 16-35mm wide angle lens unaware of what you can achieve with a 24-70mm which is an almost perfect focal range. I think we should all try our longer ranges too 70-200 and 100-400, lighter f4 versions.
My favourite part of the video is the reason why you go out with the camera so early on your days off… haha I totally agree Ian 👍🏼

Lol I am sure you were already aware of Len’s compression Chris but thanks for the comment. My Len’s of choice is also 24-70 but longer focal lengths do have their advantages at times. Thanks again for watching hopefully see you out sometime

Hi Ian what a stunning location. I'm really wanting to improve my woodland photography and I'm definitely going to visit this location. Unfortunately it's a very long drive from Cheshire so I'll need to make a long weekend of it. Looking at the wood it's a huge area. Is there a particular area you'd recommend?

There are a few areas on the Quantocks I would recommend. Message when your heading this way and I will point you in the right direction to my preferred locations 👍
