George Jones is arguably the greatest country singer of all time and the standard by which country singers will be measured. His voice was unreal. He could sing "Three Blind Mice" and make you cry.
I was laughed at in the '70s because I was a country fan , and still am. He has many great songs like; Who's Going To Fill Their Shoes , White Lighting , Window Up Above , Keep up this great music.
George Jones was a country legend singer songwriter from the 50's-80's. He struggled with alcoholism & drugs during his life. He was married at one time to fellow country music singer Tammy Wynette & they had some great duets together. He had so many hits such as "White Lightnin'", "She Thinks I Still Care", "We Must Have Been Out Of Our Minds", "Love Bug", "Things Have Gone to Pieces", "The Race Is On", "My Favorite Lies", "I'll Share My World With You", "Take Me", "A Good Year For The Roses," "If My Heart Had Windows", "He Stopped Loving Her Today" & many others.
You should check out “who’s gonna fill their shoes” by George. A hit from the 90’s. It was and is a great song. And just to say, no one has or ever will fill their shoes. IMO!!
he has so many fantastic songs.....If Drinking Don't Kill Me, ,,,I've Aged 20 years in 5,,, Fifty Thousand Names Carved in The Wall,,, Still Doing Time
George Jones and Tammy Wynette were able to get past their problems and years after their final divorce they were able to work together again. Two classic country songs came out during this time, "Golden Rings" and my favorite "Two Story House."
This is my fav male country music artist. Was lucky enough to see him in the late 80's you maybe should react to " the corvette song" and " who's gonna fill their shoes. Hope u 2 had a great new years may God fill your lives with blessings in 22'

The Race Is On, She Thinks I Still Care, and Love Bug. Please play Walk Through This World With Me, and Every Time That I Look At You. 2 of his best oldies.
Loved it. You got a George Jones medley. Wow. She thinks I still care (yes I do think that lol), the love bug, the race is on, the love bug ... lucky you. Great reaction :)
Y'all hit the mother load on this one. He was married to Tammy when this was recorded. The song was written by Dickey Lee. Goerge could do no wrong at this point in his career. At least singing. He had a rough ride personally at this time. Try a good year for the roses by George
"She Thinks I Still Care" was a big hit for George, but several singers sang this. I was brought up listening to George, Merle, Johhny, Buck and Lefty. Thanks for doing this.
He was the greatest of all country singers: the other legends say so. Get around to "The Window Up Above" and his incredible live "Things Have Gone to Pieces"
My dad went to his grave living my mom, he loved my mom until the end even after their divorce and at his death we played he stopped living her today😢George could always get to my heart with his dad songs! But it's all good!
Nice medaly of some of his biggest hits… to that point. He had many many more after this date! He defines old country. . Dan thinks ur chann is the best too!👍👍 1/01/22!
Hi I'm from India. I recently love a band from my country. They are called Ausomapto. And I love two of their songs called Ya ali and Hybrid theory tanhayee. I will really love if you react to any one of them or both. Love from India ♥
George and Tammy were married from 1969 to 1975, so George was somewhat a newlywed in this video. I'm 54 and grew up listening to him and other country artists and of course..Elvis! My dad use to say, the man that can outsing George Jones hasn't been born yet!
George Jones was primarily a singer rather than a songwriter but if you want to hear him sing about his ex, Tammy Wynette, listen to "Her Name Is" which was written for Jones by Bobby Braddock.
Although I had to listen to country music in my youth due to my backwoodsy hillbilly father, we two were in a cultural conflict. My favorite band was the Beatles and I wanted to emulate their music, hair and clothing styles. In the day, country folks including my pop were not very kind to us rockers, so throughout my life I always claimed to hate country music. Fast Forward to today, I am a musician and thanks to RUclips I have rediscovered country and have learned to appreciate the genre. Ironically, I play and sing a lot of the Oldie Country Tunes at a lot of Jam Sessions. Interestingly, I love it when diverse cultures can crossover and appreciated each others genres of music.
That was 3 different songs, She thinks I Still Care, the Love Bug and the Race is on. all great , remember one guy I dated told me when I was dating another guy for I was trying to choose , he said he had the race is on running through his head He liked the Corvette Song too said that was another made him think of me. So i like these songs of course

You should do the George Jones song Who's Gonna Fill Their Shoes. It's a phenomenal song that pays tribute to the greats that came before George and his contemporaries as well.
Nice Mash up of some of his songs. You should do the whole version of these. The Race is On Is Great! They did a piece of that, Love Bug & She thinks I still care!
George Jones was considered to be the Rolls Royce of Country Music he was as big in Country Music as Elvis was to Rock n Roll. You two should look up and listen to George Jones and the Queen of Southern Gospel Music Vestal Goodman sing Oh Come Angel Band.
It need to hear She Thinks I Still Care in it's entirety. You missed the best lyrics. Something on the order of "if she's happy thinking I still need her, let that silly notion give her cheer. Oh why would she ever be so foolish, where did she get such an idea? Just because I ask old friends about her....". One of the best heartbreak songs ever!!!
That was three different songs all mashed up.... Love bug.... The race is on.... She thinks I still Care. Y'all should listen to his "White Lightning! ❤️
Please, please listen to Leon Russell's version of this: from the album "Hank Wilson's Back." Should you choose to do a deep dive into his music, you'll go down the deepest rabbit hole you've ever been down. He played piano and was a session musician from Oklahoma who played on too many songs to even mention... everything from Sam Cooke's "Bring It On Home to Me" w/ Lou Rawls on backup vocals, he wrote "A Song for You," "This Masquerade", "Tightrope," and "Back to the Island." (check out the Homewood Sessions). Thank you, guys. I love your reactions.

As my Daddy would say ... that boy sure knows how to write a country song. His catalog is jam packed. Check our Bartenders Blues. Good stuff!
George Jones wrote very few of his own songs. Bartender Blues was written by James Taylor Check him out too!
He’s the Grandfather of Country music 👍
Connie Smith’s favorite male singer!! You should give “Ribbon of Darkness” and “Where is my Castle” a listen!!
