I love this game. Played 4 months after launch. First full coop with my son. Then 3 full runs on me gane plus 0. Hats of to the developers for always improving this fantástic gane. The two overlapping worlds is the best idea in video games in a long time.

It’s always been wild to me that people expect refunds on games. And I never agreed with developers is issuing refunds. There’s plenty content on every game to never have the mistake of purchasing one and then being dissatisfied. But we all know, if he sat down and tried this game again - unbiased - he would love it!
I love lords of the fallen. I can't even express how much. This games style, music, setting, gameplay, gore, mechanics, world, bosses. It all does something to me. So incredibly.
@shlomorothstein9691 bruh no haha. The settings change so quickly. From a dungeon with a forest, to a fallen castle on a bridge, to a city build on a clifside, to a swamp, to a city on fire. Just to start out...
LotF 2023 was an excellent game, even back at release. It had bugs, no doubt, and performance issues on all platforms. No doubt. But the devs IMMEDIATELY put their nose right back to the grindstone after launch and began pumping out quality update after quality update. They consistently pushed out major and minor balance patches to nearly every facet of the game including an entire rework of mob density and AI (in response to user feedback), put out loads of new free in-game content including weapons and armor sets with accompanying quest lines, added and finished previously unfinished, secret weapon skills and movesets to already existing in-game weapons, created an extremely robust NG+ system, implemented both the chest storage and rework appearance functions into the game (and fully acknowledged how dumb it was that these werent included at launch), worked on performance issues endlessly (eventually doing full shading and mesh optimization passes for basically the entire game front to back), and did so much more than what I even just listed, ALL while consistently acknowledging and addressing fan feedback throughout the whole process, Much of this was also along with the post launch roadmap they put out which they diligently committed to and executed on until completion. LotF 2023 did not deserve the dogpile it got at launch. It was already a fuckin phenomenal title at launch, and was easily elevated post-launch to one of the best non-Fromsoft souls-like releases to date and ultimately one of the best games to come out of 2023.
The game is pretty good now. Runs smoothly (I've had just one hard crash), stable fps, lot's of difficulty customization. However, the lack of weapon movesets and enemy variety hits pretty hard, especially if you enable random enemy placement. I like it. It's a solid 7/10 now. I admit though, that I haven't played the game in its original release state. I'm 65 hours in and done 2/3 endings. I really don't get why it runs so horribly for you. I play on a laptop with max setting. My machine doesn't even sweat, barely any heat at all. Please check minimum requirements, it's a demanding game.
It was poorly optimized and didn’t run very well, but it indeed was never a bad game & it now runs pretty damn well. This dude is trying to make more $ like his old video lol, clown.
@@godnamedtay agreed every one seems to forget how bad elden ring was on launch and coop was terrible where i couldn't even see my friend who i was playing with he was literally invisible
If that's your experience, it's cool. My experience was totally different. These constant daily updates where they tried to fix a bunch of stuff that caused new bugs to happen killed the game for me after 2 months. They were like you could play the game with friends but online coop wasnt available after a long time. I recently booted it up once more and noticed the graphics on Steamdeck have become worse and decided to no longer play it. I believe it was 60 bucks back then. 60 bucks for a game that felt like you pay 60 bucks for playtesting.
Idk man im replaying the game again right now and its fuckin mint. Haven't had any issues and it's still fun as hell to play. Obv its no fromsoft game but for what it is especially now and on a sale. Game is worth
I tried this game when it first came out and just couldn’t get into it. I’m so glad I decided to give it another chance. I even got my friend group into it and all of us are hooked! The work they put into this game, they deserve a second chance.
This small youtuber can’t even respond to criticism in the comments with his boring monotone voice, game has no performance issues now, in its own right game is solid, comparing it to other souls like game like elden ring is ludicrous. The game is solid and hope to see the second game to be its successor.
It depends dude i was actually playing right about when you made this comment, its nowhere near as bad as when the game came out but it can still lagg like crazy in certain areas
This game runs well on my PC and is probably my second favorite game to play next to Elden Ring. I loved this game. The art style and combat is awesome.
It launched in a rough state. But when they ironed out performance and enemy density, it became one of the more fun and intersting takes on the souls genre I've played outside of From game. Other than bandwagoneering, i don't get the hate for the game. Even fightingcowboy, the most critical souls content creator I can think of, liked it.
@@shreder75 bought both, about to finish lords and then gonna jump on lies of p, having a great time in lords so far, if lies of p can do the same, then its great
I would like to note that you don’t actually have to fight Lightreaper in his second encounter. If you go into the Umbral realm after the bridge and go towards the cliff at the top of the valley right in front of the watch tower, there will be a platform that you can pull towards yourself to enter the tower. Then you can just proceed downstair and BAM you’re past the Lightreaper. You have to fight a Reaper and the Ranged Rhogar which can be a hassle and once you get to the bottom of the tower, you are by no means safe. So make sure not to die! You can also skip his third encounter in the Frozen Fief after the Hollow Crow boss (which has grown on me a little with time) by simply entering the Umbral realm, walk down the broken bridge and go past the arena. Or you could just not go there at all since it isn’t mandatory (that is only the case however if you go for the Umbral ending or the inferno ending (kinda)). It’s these little things that makes me adore the Umbral realm more and more each time I play the game!
Oh that makes sense. I totally forgot about that other pathway. I still would prefer to fight the bossfight there on an ironman run anyway, because the darksign exploit reduces the stakes to nothing, but it is cool to have that as an option
Not sure if you talk about it in this video, but I would like to hear a rant about how the developers begged for a positive steam rating on twitter. They release a horseshit, unfinished game, and then they have the gall to beg for an upvote after they take peoples money when they knew the product wasn't ready to be released.
I’ll be honest this is my favorite souls game. By far. What I love about this game is that the bosses don’t take more than 3 tries to beat. I’ve quit playing games cause I’m stuck at a boss. I don’t have endless hours to play just a few a day if I’m lucky so to be able to play the game and not spend 10 hours on a single boss is perfect.
As a big enjoyer of the first video, seeing a second one come across my feed brought a smile to my face. Thanks for your content sir, it really is appreciated by many. Keep it going!
Did someone really call you "fat and stupid"? It gave me a chuckle. I mean, I've never seen standards as high. That person must be a literal Greek God or something.
Of all the creators i’ve cared to see make a follow up since this came out, it’s been you i’ve been the most hyped for, your original review was legendary LOL
Short version. No, it's actually a very good game now. I'd argue it is actually a much more enjoyable experience than the older Souls games due to all the QOL and innovations they've implemented since. It's not as involved and rich as Elden Ring, but definitely a solid pickup especially for multiplayer (which is seamless and done extremely well).
That first lords video was what brought me here, fantastic video then and I assume so now. Will add more after if needed. Addition: Not mentioning you did a LASO run of the game till 6:30 is crazy. If you have that recorded could be worth considering a commentary highlight video of it. Addition 2: Would have been cool if they turned the game around, but the flaws seem pretty fundamental. I can't say I'm excited for a sequel, the most wasted money I've ever spent.
Lords of the Fallen is a fantastic Soulslike game. It is a perfect Boomer Souls game. What I mean by that is the game was built around the original, core pillars of the Souls games. The game is fair but challenging, the mechanics are easy to understand and difficult to master, just about every fight/situation has multiple avenues of approach towards resolving it. Armor actually matters. Sword and Board is an actual viable playstyle. 2h weapons have the noticeable heft over 1her's you'd expect. It's everything a true fan of Demon's Souls/Dark Souls would love from the genre. The problem is everybody and their goddamn grandma wants to compare LOTF to Lies of P which is just wrong as they are two fundamentally different games. LOTF is a game for people who liked the gameplay and pacing of Demon's Souls/DS1-2-3. Lies of P was for people who wanted a bit more RPG in their Sekiro, but didn't wanna go full on Nioh. The internet also has this mindset that you have to like one or another and that you simply can't enjoy both, which is just wrong on many levels.
I feel the same way about this game as i did fallen order. I think they have the right idea and god DAMN they nailed the aesthetic and art direction.....but there's tons of room for improvement and im optimistic about the next one and the lessons they've hopefully learned
This commentary is so incredibly negative, it is kind of remarkable. You could scrutinize any souls game with this much seeking of negativity. Hell, any game held under this creator's lens could be shite.
People like this are miserable. The game is objectively good, is it fromsoft level? Hell no, no shit it isn’t. But it’s fun and has a lot of good stuff. Also I don’t know what all these people like you are doing but I’ve never have fps or performance issues of any kind. It’s always run smoothly. I got tons of joy and you’re whining about it, so who’s the real winner. Again, it objectively does not suck nor is it easy. It’s no easier than 90% of elden ring.
Day 1 player who hadn't played since day 3 because of performance, targeting and various other issues. Jusy gave it another whirl 2 weeks ago and it runs flawlessly and looks amazing on ps5. Best game I have played since elden ring imo
Just clicked on the video, but before I watch it, the answer is no, this game is not bad! I encourage everyone who couldn’t get into it when it first came out, to try it again! I pre-ordered it and played 20 minutes and put it down, disappointed. I came back to it last month, and I’m still completely hooked! It really deserves a second chance
Played all the soulsborne and some souls like, platted all of them and beat most at NG+7. I actually quite a lot more fun playing this than comparing to Demon souls remake. Don’t know why ppl are hating on it so much. The aesthetic is so peak in this
I’ve been playing it and it’s great with all the updates. The bosses are still a little lackluster compared to fromsoftware bosses but I’m enjoying my current play through.
Complaining about a refund but yet finished the entire game? Goofy! This game was awesome! Willing to look over and wait for bug fixes to play a good game. People seem to complain just to complain these days.
Definitely has its flaws, but it's a completely different game from launch imo. I put about 70 hours into the game, and I had a lot of fun honestly. It ran perfectly fine on my 4080, and a solid 170 frames on max settings. Maybe your pc is just dog shit. Love the videos though man. Keep them coming
Okay. So I'm going to be harsher then what I usually am to prove a point. 1) you did not post your build, stat allocation, what spells you used at what point, your routes. 2) you ignored enemies that tended to aggrssively target you. This game relies off the same method ds2 enemies work. 3) pilgrims perch and platforming os easy you can access the umbral in the real world and you can jump fairly easy in it. The jumping system with sprinting is good depending on your equip load which you did not post yours. When it comes to pilgrims perch. It gives you plenty of times to get out of umbral. You are enocurages to stay out of umbral. With the level design it teaches you several skills where you can use outside umbral. Enter umbral do what you need get back. 5) you don't understand, it's not a boss fighting game, its an exploration game. 6) you failed to talk about piettas sword correctly. Thats used for faith build which primarily cast. Its not meant to be a huge weapon. Used in off hand for a spell caster or sometimes in two hand. Holy has utility and you are meant to use other spells with the build not run in like an orc. There are several ways to use the sword and spells in it. I only mention you jump to conclusion what would be the best way. So I fight it weird that you wouldnt mention stat requirements , weight, what the weapon is meant to do. Weapon size. Im barely 30-40% in the game you havent really mentioned anything about. 7) this game as exploration game did an amazing job. Theres mini bosses, elites and main bosses. Throughout the game you fail to see if you explroe properly. It rewards with the ammunition you pick up which makes the boss easier whether or not it is, a mana consumables, damage decrease, weapon buff etc. I found exploration helped with shortcuts which helped. Thats similar to ds3, ds2,ds1. The bosses themselves have a varied moveset where they have a variety of moves they can call upon switching between different phases at a whim. They can do melee and ranged. Can charge at you. All different sorts of things. I found th bosses rather fun considering the context. With the game, you can position, jump, run away from stuff and you can parry or even dodge. You picked a stamania heavy build. I could go on more. If you like.
I just started this game last week, and it runs great on my ps5 pro, and I'm really surprised now, this is the first time I heard that this game was bad
would love to hear any thoughts you have about elden ring nightreign. i know we were only just shown the trailer and there might not be enough to make a full video on but i’d be curious to hear your thoughts
Why on earth would you expect a refund after beating the game? That's like saying you want a refund for the burger you ate because it tasted bad but ate all of it anyway lmao
Metagaming is just gaming for average IQ people. Problem solving. Lords of the Fallen is an inherently less challenging game than Dark Souls or Elden Ring. The game is relaxed. Punching down on Lords of the Fallen is old and out of touch. Its different. No, nobody is obligated to like different. Fun for me! With working multiplayer, the games even more fun.
I dint get it. I really liked the 2014 version but everyone hated that one too. Why? I think it's because it was one of the first souls like and back then souls fans were just if it isn't fromsoft its bad. I like the 2023 game alot
That’s cause you didn’t get an early/free copy of the game or your money back after you didn’t “enjoyed” the game enough man. If you’re comparing to an Elden Ring, sure, not even close, but the game is actually good.
so this game was my entry into soulslikes and souls games in general, after beating it around 20 times 100% achieves ( even the new ones ) and 500hours, and i cannot play this game anymore after playing literally any other souls game. everything you said about the umbral life is true except you can die to the scripted lightreaper fight on ironman mode without resetting and then after you realize you can sprint roll through 99% of the platforming, the tower of penance and pilgrims perch included, every falling death after that feels even worse
If you just jumped you wouldn't die to fall damage. Trying to optimize and min-max the way you move through the environment is what leads you to dying. Essentially you're rolling off things like a moron. Just jump. Did people like you even bother to consider letting go of the directional input after jumping so you don't do the landing roll? lol
@SomethingScotty i mean its not an actual issue the platforming in lotf is mid, like i said you dont need to jump you can legit roll through them. I 100% the game beating it deathless with enemy density and withered healing vestige decay and random enemy/loot, you literally can't fall off the edge unless you severely mess up because you can just attack and you are prevented from falling off. Lotf was fun but playing jt now, the movement accel feels awful the step dodging is too op, if you roll at all in bosses you're doing it wrong
ive played this game alot and that part where it had bad fps never happens. The only thing "bad" about the game is its easy, but its just like every souls game, you level up and get better equipment and spells and you eventually win, if this wasnt compared to souls games no one would be complaining about it like not to mention hex works is only 5 years old and from soft is from the 80s. I want to see another lotf
@456death654 the enemy placement/amount got reduced (very few places bothered me, but that's because i went too early). I do agree that the variety is limited it's definitely something i felt towards the mid to end game. The map is interconnected and felt unique and refreshing (but that's just a personal experience). The main bosses were unique, each of them had something different, and i personally liked them, saying they're shit is definitely too much. And i might be the only person, but i LOVE the umbral mechanics the fact they replace illusory walls and give you a second life like in sekiro, it's customizable to suit your gameplay, it gives new traversal option, the soulflay was such a big help through the whole game and even the things you pop on the wall to get health back and soulflay charges that sometime serves as bombs was creative
I subbed about a year ago when I first came across your BB video, I respected your honesty and have enjoyed your videos since then bro, happy to see you grow even if not by much, keep up the good work 👌
@@jesterofjuice5132Yeah man no problem. I enjoy your videos a lot & the way you’re able to point out things that most people don’t see or flat out ignore just because it’s the most popular game, is something I respect a lot. Never lose your integrity brother 🤘
Hey! I just want to say that I really like your videos, especially the lords of the fallen, lies of P and another crab's treasure ones, they are really refreshing to see! You have a really good understanding of the souls games and I value your opinion a lot, even if I disagreed on your elden ring DLC review, which I think focused way to much on the negative points and didn't mention the really good things about it. Keep the great work!
stating you wouldnt have made a negative review of a game you COMPLETED if you were given a refund is bogus. tells me everything i need to know bout you. stopped watching the vid. wont watch anymore of your content. but you probably wont care since the bullish vid was viewed 240K times.
need to replay it soon. ive finished it vanila bevore any patches and it was a mixed experience some things where way to hard others just a cake walk. also the performence was sometimes horrible. but overall a good game.
I really want to see Jester get flown out to one of those preview events for RUclipsrs by Hexworks to play Lords of the Fallen 2026 a few months early. This needs to happen. If they can by some miracle (or lots of cash) win him over, then we can be lulled into thinking they have learnt from their mistakes. I agree, this game has problems, but I don't think the franchise is a complete lost cause. I never had any framerate issues back when it was released, so to see you still have issues is worrying. Some of the fundamental design choices (second chance Umbral life for instance) sound cool in theory, but don't work in practice - but there has to be a cool way to mechanically implement a Light-Dark Zelda style world in a Souls game.
This makes the list for one of my most hated games ever. Still sad to see it hasn't improved in any meaningful way; would've been cool to retroactively have the money I spent on it not be a waste, but oh well. I actually bought this over Lies of P when it came out; possibly the worst 50/50 decision I've made in my life.
Seems I missed a few of your videos. Definitely going to check them out. In regards to this one... Yeah. I don't hate the game as much as you, but there's nothing that can convince me to do another run. I got what enjoyment I could out of it, accomplished what I wanted, and am just done with it. Apparently they'll be another one, but this game left such a bad impression on me that I'm going to auto nope out of it. If someone likes the game, cool. But I don't.
Played through this game 8 times on PS5 on the day one patch only, haven't ever seen any weird slow downs like shown here. I actually think the game is decent, and yes I played through all fromsoft titles, except any of the armor cores.
btw PERFECT parries do chip damage to you... even with a parry build where you perfectly parry every hit, you would have all your wither hp erased, even by the smallest throwaway enemy. I'm going back to Lordran.
hey dude, i remember seeing the first video and completely agreeing with your flaws, the game imo is in an ok state, i actually had more fun joining other peoples games and just chilling with strangers. i did change my review on steam to a positive one because thats the point of games imo it should be fun, not stressful (ironic since i like souls like games). with that said i give the devs props for trying but no way in hell should this be a fully priced game, 30 bux for a new experience and move on
I personally loved the game when it first came out it was fun gave you that challenge that is needed in a game like this and made you feel good about earning the stuff you got from the game and my favorite thing to say to people that whine about it get good and stop whining about your skill being shit
This is SUCH a good video. Thank you for absolutely slaughtering this game. I was about to give it another download in an attempt to get my moneys worth. But I’m not gonna waste my time. Great video.
I played through the game with a "friend" of mine (thought he was a friend at the time. Was completely wrong. Ehh we all learn eventually) It was definitely fun to pay, but I don't think I will ever bring myself to play it a second time. The biggest reason being the two world mechanic. It's just too much lol
Nobody cares about your friendship trama dump keep it to yourself. And if you actually did manage to beat the game and STILL didn't understand the Umbral mechanic, then that's not the games fault that's your fault. You're never more than a 10-12 second sprint away from something that lets you drop out of the Umbral world at any given time. The only exception to it is that during boss fights you can't flip back to the living world unless you beat the boss. The Umbral state in the game and especially in boss fights, gives you a second chance to survive a fuckup you made. It's way more forgiving than any of the FromSoftware souls games, and the game even gives you in both worlds the Bloodborne Rally mechanic. They literally give you a do-over and you people still aren't happy.
@@SomethingScotty Your reply reads like I personally offended you? Did I? If so I apologize. I stated my opinion and added a bit of personal detail. I'm really confused on why you chose to reply to me in such a venomous way? The game was good. "Fun to play" were my words exactly. I wasn't a fan of the umbral world 🤷 not that big and deal. I still liked the game. Had a negative experience while playing so I felt inclined to add it. Given it may or may not have influenced my opinion. I still don't think it's worth revisiting. 🤙
As someone who platinumed the game, I can relate to everything you said lol. Just wanted to add that the umbral realm was a really interesting concept, prolly inspired by Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver, complete with its dimension related puzzles and vaccuuming in souls mechanic. Sounded awesome on paper but, like much of its mechanics, was poorly executed; just a slog and annoyance to get through and the worst part of the game. The "second life" mechanic was also much better executed in Mortal Shell too. I do give credit to the art design team though, game has some impressive architecture, cool setting and lore.
It's not uncommon for people to want to play the unnerfed version of a game. In Geometry Dash for example, it's pretty common for very hard levels to be nerfed before launch, but some players still try and beat the unnerfed versions of them. Likewise, some players recreate the unnerfed version of a game with mods, e.g. The Ancient Gods Part 1. It's half-committal as you pointed out, e.g. the Folard boss fight, but some players still prefer it over the nerfed version as a whole. Likewise, Lords of the Fallen is still getting patches after the boss update. They're not going to change your mind, but the wiki is out of date.
What I don’t get is why someone, with limited time in this realm, would spend their time, effort and resources to make long videos about a title you hate? You state early on the editing alone is a task. Very strange to tackle a title and create a video considering it’s garbage, according to you. For myself, I’ve really enjoyed the title. The world building, art direction and the combat I have very much enjoyed. And it’s got much better since release.
Game is just horrifically easy and boring. The boss move sets are a joke and it felt like I had to he in the umbral to progress majority of the time. The umbral world is super bland
Game is good, but I hate that the enemy variety is lacking... in every area they have the same enemies and reskin enemies in each area too.. bosses are not that hard and not memorable. The good about this game is the world and design. If the enemies where more unique and the bosses where more challenging it would be the perfect souls like game.
Ewfff. That's rough. I've never got to play this yet. I went the Lies Of P direction and God damn that's a great game. I haven't bought a next gen console yet because my PS4 Pro is still providing me ample fun
I imagine you are probably playing on pc with Xbox controller. I played it like this as well cause it was free on game pass and it was garbage. Bought it on ps5 and it is flawless! Love this game. What was frustrating is that I was looking for another souls title and this one is no where to be found. I just happen to scroll past it on the store randomly
Another thing I love about this game is the people are people and the women are beautiful lol sounds weird but every other souls game has mutated women and odd people. I’d like more of a sense of community with these games I like having a central area to come back to and all the npcs and shops are there I love that.
I was gonna buy it until I saw your much fairer and better review than the crappy game publications glazing over the game. Excited to see your new thoughts.
I love the game, the only issue for me playing on a ps5 is that I have gotten a big General Save error, all game play is there it just doesn't save anymore And it keeps popping an error when you are playing
This was never a bad souls game in anyway, It has it's issues but it still is one of the best soulslike experiences

LotF 2023 was an excellent game, even back at release.
It had bugs, no doubt, and performance issues on all platforms. No doubt.
But the devs IMMEDIATELY put their nose right back to the grindstone after launch and began pumping out quality update after quality update. They consistently pushed out major and minor balance patches to nearly every facet of the game including an entire rework of mob density and AI (in response to user feedback), put out loads of new free in-game content including weapons and armor sets with accompanying quest lines, added and finished previously unfinished, secret weapon skills and movesets to already existing in-game weapons, created an extremely robust NG+ system, implemented both the chest storage and rework appearance functions into the game (and fully acknowledged how dumb it was that these werent included at launch), worked on performance issues endlessly (eventually doing full shading and mesh optimization passes for basically the entire game front to back), and did so much more than what I even just listed, ALL while consistently acknowledging and addressing fan feedback throughout the whole process,
Much of this was also along with the post launch roadmap they put out which they diligently committed to and executed on until completion.

Yes it was
Idk man im replaying the game again right now and its fuckin mint. Haven't had any issues and it's still fun as hell to play. Obv its no fromsoft game but for what it is especially now and on a sale. Game is worth
There are a few things it does better than Fromsoft, even.
@i3ifqgml agreed
I tried this game when it first came out and just couldn’t get into it. I’m so glad I decided to give it another chance. I even got my friend group into it and all of us are hooked!
The work they put into this game, they deserve a second chance.
@@Havok.93 ya love to hear it 🤘🏻
Ironman is common in tactical games. It means permadeath.
I mean, you’re the one who’s commenting on it.
The game sucks deal with it
@ virgin
This game runs well on my PC and is probably my second favorite game to play next to Elden Ring. I loved this game. The art style and combat is awesome.
LotF is solid 8 now, gret old-school Dark Souls experience
Id give it a 9.5
It launched in a rough state. But when they ironed out performance and enemy density, it became one of the more fun and intersting takes on the souls genre I've played outside of From game.
Other than bandwagoneering, i don't get the hate for the game. Even fightingcowboy, the most critical souls content creator I can think of, liked it.
How can it be the most fun or interesting one when Lies of P exists?
@@indan lies of p is overrated, that's how.
@@shreder75 Nah man, that's wild
@indan wild but true. Lies of P left the fun at the front door and never looked back.
“The game gets better the less you play.” Topkek
Oh that makes sense. I totally forgot about that other pathway. I still would prefer to fight the bossfight there on an ironman run anyway, because the darksign exploit reduces the stakes to nothing, but it is cool to have that as an option
Not sure if you talk about it in this video, but I would like to hear a rant about how the developers begged for a positive steam rating on twitter. They release a horseshit, unfinished game, and then they have the gall to beg for an upvote after they take peoples money when they knew the product wasn't ready to be released.
They also had the gall to post a game of the year link... yeah okay guys, settle the ****** down, your game doesn't even have a parry sound.
I don't know what you're talking about, but I enjoyed this game a lot and still think it's one of the best soulslikes out there.
Its my favorite game.
@SanuramSanu you mis interpreted the defenition of Woke. Go do your homework before you say something stupid buddy.
@@TijnvanGimstmeanings change after time go do your homework before trying to lecture someone stupid buddy
It's just sad how much hate this game get. I loved it. Yes is not perfect. But defenently one of my favorite.
The game is insanely great they work really hard on it and now it has no issues at all am replaying with a new class and wow for real
what a coincidence, i watched the original video yesterday only to get a followup now
Short version.
“A pickaxe shouldn’t be more effective than a lightsaber” Oh boy have you ever played Elden Ring lmao.
I started playing and it just didn’t catch me back at launch. I’m thinking about trying it again though!
This commentary is so incredibly negative, it is kind of remarkable. You could scrutinize any souls game with this much seeking of negativity. Hell, any game held under this creator's lens could be shite.
He says the game is bad, and his only argument is that the game is bad.
You objectively use objectively wrong. I don't think you know what the word means.
it’s a soulslike parody at best😂
Day 1 player who hadn't played since day 3 because of performance, targeting and various other issues. Jusy gave it another whirl 2 weeks ago and it runs flawlessly and looks amazing on ps5. Best game I have played since elden ring imo
Its gonna be one of the monthly games on psn next month...dont listen to this negative guy and just play it yourself guys
I have 20 hours in it. It's the worst game of its genre by a fucking mile
it’s actually a very good game. feels very good to play on PS5 it’s far from a garbage title.
Okay but one question - is it better or worse than Codex Lost?
The game sucks just play dark souls, or Elden, Ring or blood-borne
I will never understand why this game was hated do much.
I’m convinced people like this game because it’s laughably easy for a soulslike and it makes them feel good about themselves😂
Why on earth would you expect a refund after beating the game? That's like saying you want a refund for the burger you ate because it tasted bad but ate all of it anyway lmao
Game is awesome, this dude is off his rocker.
The only souls game that i actually played till the ending.
This hasn't been a problem for me on PS5, and im loving it
Metagaming is just gaming for average IQ people. Problem solving. Lords of the Fallen is an inherently less challenging game than Dark Souls or Elden Ring. The game is relaxed. Punching down on Lords of the Fallen is old and out of touch. Its different. No, nobody is obligated to like different. Fun for me! With working multiplayer, the games even more fun.
of course there would be spoilers without any warning
Exactly how I felt. They really need to step up the enemy variety, level design and general combat for this game to be truly good.
I dint get it. I really liked the 2014 version but everyone hated that one too. Why? I think it's because it was one of the first souls like and back then souls fans were just if it isn't fromsoft its bad. I like the 2023 game alot
some of the stuff you say is reaching ngl, like the ironman modifier. This modifier has been in crpg-s and arpg-s for a while now
i don’t have any problems on pc. i give this hand game 9/10
That’s cause you didn’t get an early/free copy of the game or your money back after you didn’t “enjoyed” the game enough man. If you’re comparing to an Elden Ring, sure, not even close, but the game is actually good.
Its the best soulslike I ever played
so this game was my entry into soulslikes and souls games in general, after beating it around 20 times 100% achieves ( even the new ones ) and 500hours, and i cannot play this game anymore after playing literally any other souls game.
everything you said about the umbral life is true except you can die to the scripted lightreaper fight on ironman mode without resetting
and then after you realize you can sprint roll through 99% of the platforming, the tower of penance and pilgrims perch included, every falling death after that feels even worse
I want to see another lotf
i don't even need to watch the video, it was never a bad souls like in the first place
It was super garbage. What are you on about? Shit enemy placement/spam. No variety in enemies. Shit world layout. Shit bosses. Garbage umbral mechanic
This game always was strong 8/10.
I subbed about a year ago when I first came across your BB video, I respected your honesty and have enjoyed your videos since then bro, happy to see you grow even if not by much, keep up the good work 👌
Thanks bro! It means a lot to have people still around from way back then
@@jesterofjuice5132Yeah man no problem.
Lol that would be hilarious
I've only had one problem in game which was tower of penance on the lift gate to the beacon when playing with friends
Your console must be shit, i played it on ps5 a month ago and never once got a stutter lmao, ran smooth as butter
On launch over a year ago it was a total mess. You’re a year late to the party.
@Budd631 this video is a recent playthrough so your comment doesn't stand
btw PERFECT parries do chip damage to you... even with a parry build where you perfectly parry every hit, you would have all your wither hp erased, even by the smallest throwaway enemy.
I actually really enjoy this game.
This is SUCH a good video. Thank you for absolutely slaughtering this game. I was about to give it another download in an attempt to get my moneys worth. But I’m not gonna waste my time. Great video.
I am fat and stupid.
I played through the game with a "friend" of mine (thought he was a friend at the time. Was completely wrong. Ehh we all learn eventually)
It was definitely fun to pay, but I don't think I will ever bring myself to play it a second time.
Initial video was waaaay too negative, hoping you give the game an actual chance this time
How is beating the game multiple times, trying different builds, and getting all the endings not giving the game a chance?
ive been playing lords since it came out on gamepass (still am too) and i agree with almost everything stated in this video 😅🙏
This game is amazing now. I played it after a year long break
I only had frames drop once in my full play through on ps5. Game was great.
I played the whole game and never had such drops in fps on PC or Xbox
Would love to know what you're using, it runs great on my Series X.
On pc the game has been running great for me at 4k. Playing a second play though also right now.
Game is just horrifically easy and boring. The boss move sets are a joke and it felt like I had to he in the umbral to progress majority of the time. The umbral world is super bland
Not a bad souls game but it got really hurt with it's awful performance related issues early on. Like it was pretty bad performance wise.
Thanks for watching! It's wild to me that so many people have stuck around my channel since that first video lol Hope you enjoyed!
Man you're so awesome!!! You got my sub and like❤❤❤
2:44 this has never occurred on my PS5 🤷♂
I love the game, the only issue for me playing on a ps5 is that I have gotten a big General Save error, all game play is there it just doesn't save anymore And it keeps popping an error when you are playing
