The most anti-climatic part was when the old woman who waited 50 years to get revenge was put down almost instantly by Leatherface. I thought it was going to be this epic showdown
You know what? I'm okay with this being spoiled for me. I wasn't going to watch this one because this franchise needs to die, but I HAVE to see geriatric Leatherface scooting around like Usain Bolt.
Surprised no one has brought up the fact that the Corkscrew did the most damage to Leatherface. My man paused the whole killing spree to treat that wound 😂.
Utterly pathetic isn't it , we saw no good fight scenes where the victims fought harder. They basically all gave up . Remember when Jessica Biel has a stronger survival instinct and did more damage aswell in the 2003 version, that's a much better movie than this embarrassing garbage.
Only clever moment and it's a very small moment was when Melody used her foot to move the mirror to reveal leatherface standing behind the mechanic guy . But whole thing was a pointless exercise as he couldn't even injure leatherface properly . Everyone was so weak and slow in this movie .
I can’t believe no one brought up how they had the black girl get chainsawed in half trying to jump out a window when she literally could’ve just walked out the bus like wtf
@@gemstar7286yeah they won who fought back the most was a Texan resident gun-carrying Texas resident! He held his own with Leatherface the whole time Leatherface use the weapon or two on him to get the advantage! And you really think this pansy a society liberals anti everything is scary would stand a chance in this day and age everyone's a bunch of damn pansies these days who are you kidding
I feel like part of the reason most of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre films suck past the first one is because the creators never seem to understand who Leatherface actually freaking is. He's not a sociopathic brute like so many other slasher characters, he's a scared little boy in a giant man's body that only wants to make others happy, it's why he kills for his family, and the times he doesn't kill for his family are out of fear due to his skittish nature. All of these filmmakers seem to just look at the guy and say 'Yep, stock slasher, got it'.
I feel like part of the reason people like you can't understand the films past the first one is because they can't understand that things change and aren't going to be the same. You expect every film to follow the same narrative as the original because that's what you liked. It's fine, it's primitive human nature to prefer sameness. However it's intelligent human nature to understand how that initial narrative can effect future narratives. A lot of the movies after the first are narratives that show how being a "loving boy who killed for his family" effected him. You see him in various situations with/without that family. Most of the time, though, he's minding his own business when someone steps on his feet. And that's the real nature of his character. He killed for his family, yes, but only because HE loved his family. He just wants to live his life but if anyone or anything impedes him, he only knows one way to handle it. Also, you seem to literally forget that this entire movie was based on him losing that last family member that tethered him to some sense of normalcy.
Even the 2nd film showed that Leatherface was more than just a mindless killer. He had a crush on the girl and didn't kill her in the radio shack, instead chainsawing some soda cans and lying about killing her.
I think that's why my favourite is "Texas chainsaw 3d" because he's protecting his home, he also got revenge for his family and when he learned who Heather was he panicked because he didn't know he was after his family
See?? It's not that hard!! I guess I just assume and accept either they're not huge horror fans or they somehow didn't see the same movie or didn't bother to think about it and just don't get it....... ❤
Sally: "If you run, he never stops chasing you" Also Sally: *ran and lived for 50 years not being chased, leatherface returns and* ***still does not chase her***
Two things I liked about the movie: The gore and the unintentional hilarity. I actually laughed out loud in the end when Leatherface did his little victory dance. I also enjoyed the part when he popped his head above the sunflowers.
@らてちゃん I mean you don't need much plot for a fun slasher. That's all it really was. I mean, I view it as a takedown of modern society. I enjoyed that they made the tic tokers the bad guys (sort of) when they come in buying up the whole town and basically killed an old lady who ran an orphanage. Then the younger sister speaking about how everyone expects her to do something great because she's a survivor. It was interesting but also irrelevant.
I will never stop singing the praises of Halloween Kills because of how clear and consistent it is about when evil dies (it’s tonight). My favorite movie is Outlook calendar by the way.
One of my main issues is Leatherface went from a mostly regular person to seemingly invincible guy. I didn’t get the chainsaw uppercut at the end, she literally watched him run it through people with ease why didn’t she not do the same.
@@chainchaw1943 chainsaw tear through flesh easily, they’re size difference would not have matter when it comes to putting it through someone’s intestines.
Regardless of the power of the person holding it any type of chainsaw wound mixed with gunshot wounds is going to kill a human. I really dislike the idea of slashers being immortal. They aren’t. They’re supposed to be archetypes of messed up human beings who wind up killing. So him surviving ruined any redeemable moments in the movie for me.
I was rooting for Richter. He was the only likeable character plus he was badass. He put up a good fight against Leatherface and even after getting his leg fucked up he managed to get in a couple of good hits before being overpowered and Lucille’d
@@gloopy-error35 the movie was clearly made to catch the attention of millenials lmao, idk if they were being serious or not when writing the main characters
@@sleepy7337 right? I really don't understand how they thought the characters they made would be likeable if that's what they were trying to do. It's most likely a case of something I've seen a lot of horror movie sequel review videos point out recently where a sequel gets made that intentionally makes you root for the villain instead of the victims because the movie is aware of the fact that no one watches these movies to see people survive anymore, they want to see their favorite slashers return to annihilate everyone lol That's the only way I can see that might justify all the dumb decisions and unbearable characters in this movie
The fact that the victim of the last attack, had a perect oppertunity to kill her one nightmare once and for all. But let him walk past, and he manages to escape is truly one of the dumbest things. Also, he survives a shotgun blast? Is this lady's aim that bad? A shotgun shell is not something a person can shruff off. It will eviserate oraginic targets. I believe there were even cases of old body armor not withstanding a shotgun shell and still destroying the person.
Yea that was just stupid. Also, when the girl hides in the bathroom in the bus, it seamed like 5 minutes until she realized the giant exit above her head
Shotgun looks like a customized short barrel Mossberg 500 shooting slugs so basically it likely wasnt going to kill leather face even if he didnt have armor and if he did it like would've broken the first shells but like by the 300 shot it shouldve killed him
I think most would agree movies haven't been very impressive at all recently, for me anyways. I watched this then the matrix resurrection...to sum it up, I was shaking my head from both.
I was sooooo annoyed by that! You think that’s where it was going but then she kept on talking and never just shot him down. Also that last little girl who hit leather face with the upper cut by the chainsaw, was a disappointment moment too. Although it was sad to see her later killed off when we thought they escaped
Yeah was a lil fwked up saying the ones who died were lucky unless you consider this life on earth hell then you would see her perspective or what she had just gone threw!
My biggest suspension of disbelief was the party bus scene. It was live streamed across multiple apps but nobody showed up, nobody called the cops or other authorities? Huge glaring plot hole
It's... how the viewers think it's a "Cool Haunted attraction" But in reality they are basically being absolutely murdered horribly.... It's because with technology of VFX and Special effects... The Viewers think it's fake with the blood... It's like watching something live on RUclips where you see a person crying for help looking at the camera and some guy in a Ski mask with a gun to the hostage head, and he says "Donate me 6,000 dollars or this person will die"... So what will be people's Reaction? What would be your Reaction?

Fear can make people do alot of stupid things but there are survival tips to survive a horror movie 101...
as a character arc I like the idea of leatherface receiving help for his mental shortcomings, he never really liked murdering and I would have loved to see that developed further. additionally aside from fear, leatherface primarily killed to please his family, so what even was his motive here?
Dude are you dumb? He gets revenge for his mom and he doesnt have a custom to be comfortable around new folks that and Who literally stepped into HIS and HIS OWN MOTHERS property hes used to killing people just like in the old days
It was a little bit of a letdown . I wished most of the characters were killed off quickly. It took too long to kill off Melody. But the kills were also not as exciting or horrifying enough. And how couldn’t they see Leatherface coming at them in the mirror when he grabbed Melody. Shouldn’t there have been an emergency exit at the back of the bus?! Seriously.
@@jeffpienta4532 what that was one of the cooler kills in the movie. How often do you see someone get there arm broke and then stabbed with the bone it was a cool and fun kill
The school shooting part of this movie is so uneeded and strange. I just imagine a bunch of execs being like, “oh yeah those are popular right now, that’s messed up let’s put it in”
They could have been antigun wack jobs even without one of them being directly involved in a school shooting. My issue is the bullet proof chainsaw that everyone loves to aim at.
@Anthony Lopez The "you cant hide from your haunting past" didnt do anything in the story except for somehow teaching that girl to shoot a shotgun. I really didn't understand the whole thing but maybe you do
There's NO WAY Sally would have been alive after the chainsaw assault. She woulda been eviscerated and her abdominal aortic artery torn open. She woulda been out in seconds from bleed out.
Hated that they tried to make Leatherface Michael Myers. They had sally to be as Laurie stode and had Leatherface be supernatural as he survived multiple shotgun bullets and was cut deeply by the chainsaw as well as having monstrous strength.
If you hate how hollywood destoys your favourite characters, why don't you just boycott all the garbage they throw at your face and stop paying to go see these meaningless, exploitative cashgrabs ? You're the one to blame here. If garbage didn't systematically win the box office, hollywood producers would actually make efforts to shoot better movies. Garbage sells, hence they will sell you garbage, because it's a lot easier to do than quality. Blame yourself.
@@SpyanLord you say that as though if the one person that posted the comment didn’t go to see it that the movie wouldn’t have been made. The movie would’ve been made whether they went to see it or not because Hollywood is unoriginal now and trying to reboot formally popular things. So telling someone to blame themselves for seeing a movie that has already been made doesn’t make any sense. What would they do if nobody went to see it? Unmake the movie or something?
I said in another reply that, in my opinion, Sally was put through way more of a traumatic experience then Laurie was in their respective original movies. But sally dying as such was dumb asf. Especially when she could’ve blew his brains out on several occasions lol
Did it bother anyone else that Catherine decided to try and escape through the window when she could have used the door? She probably would have survived, as she dodged the slash and was on the side of the front bus door...
It would be cool if sally just tried her best to help the girls instead of wanting to revenge. To know that leatherface is back and there are people being killed she could’ve did more instead of wanting him dead.
Killing him was the only way to keep them and the rest of the planet safe. He was shot twice and still survived. Even if she managed to gather a team of trained 'hunters', they wouldn't have been able to kill him. The script wants him alive, he will be alive.
Well, if this was a real life thing, most people would want revenge for that you know the way that her friends were murdered. Yeah, they might want revenge because I could fuck you up so she wasn’t thinking about that. Of course you wouldn’t want revenge and that that didn’t make sense to me because in real life yes somebody can fuck Young and some like that happens to them. Yeah I mean not everybody likes him he will be just living in fear for the rest of our lives, or some people you know, would’ve said their search for the person that killed their family specially when they get older, they sit there and get stronger and try to fight. Do you know them I mean, my thing was to I kind of said the same thing as I’m watching in the movie and screaming at her you know or just let the girls go or let them take the car in the first place instead of waiting for Him at least but then when she was getting attacked, the girls have plenty of time to take the car but she told him to get the fuck out of here so he could’ve just got out of there
Extremely annoyed with the bus driver. I cannot emphasize that enough, however I love that little dance leatherface does at the end with the chainsaw, never gets old
5:58 Being somebody that grew up in the south the whole idea of somebody riding around in a off-road truck with a simple handgun has always just kind of been the norm. So it's funny in these movies whenever people get all pissy about it. And it's like dude this is just completely normal you're just sensitive 🤣
I knew when a character said "Try anything and you're cancelled bro" that whis was going to be the worst movie I've seen in years. The rest of the movie proved this to be true.
I want to see the deleted scene in which Leatherface takes the time to change the oil in his chainsaw, refill the gas, and oil the chain before murdering everyone.
When I saw this movie I have to admit I had high hopes bc the beginning is actually quite scary, Leatherface is not presented immediately as a threat, yeah he's imposing and all but even Richter and the cops aren't like "yeah this dude is dangerous, go away", it's a build up and the sunflower field scene is extremely anxiety-inducing to me, I think it's paced amanzingly. The real problem to me is the way they handled the rest of the movie when the action ramps up, making Leatherface a kind of superhuman that just goes on a rampage for the sake of it and just to give some gnarly kills and a big massacre scene, getting back Sally for no real reason even tho the setting was good imho, she's still traumatized and seeks revenge but Leatherface doesn't even remember her and never cared about her, in reverse of something like Halloween where the killer is actively seeking out a specific victim, but then they just make the two clash like a superhero movie with her being crazy one second and wise like a mentor just after that. Plus, they really, REALLY should stop making the main cast a bunch of assholes and unlikeable ppl that you kinda hope will get killed, I want to be scared of a villain, not actually rooting for him to be the only one coming out alive.
@@gillysummerss huh? You mean except for Laurie Strode, the main character in 80% of the Halloween series being hunted by MM lol. If anything, a lot of the kills in the Halloween universe are people Michael runs into on his path back to Haddonfield on Halloween night. Of course in Halloween Kills he's just murdering everything with a pulse.
@らてちゃん Yeah it felt like they just added it to let her have her "badass overcoming her trauma" moment with the shotgun later on but tbh was tone-deaf + the movie is watched in countries outside of USA where school shootings (or mass shooting in general) aren't a thing so it was kinda difficult to empathize with her trauma, if that was their intention for adding it .-.
From what i remember with the OG Halloween movies before Rob Zombie did 2 of them, Michael had a curse put on him and he was not only after his sister Laurie, but his entire family/bloodline because of the curse. Anyone else was just in his way, and or who stayed or went to his house.

I just wish the violence in slashers wasnt usually meaningless and unjustified. Horror movie directors surprisingly don’t always understand what makes murder satisfying in films and that’s why a lot of them are amateur directors.. It feels nice when the characters actually deserve it, ya know If only horror movies weren’t the easiest genre to tackle and literally butcher… no pun intended
The bus scene was so braindead. Nobody tried to close the door, that Afroamerican lady knew they were in danger and still did nothing. Why the f*ck would you let the driver leave the bus in the first place and not close the door behind him ... or at least wait for him with her finger on the button!? They shouldn't have stoped to begin with, the vehicle can still move without the tires. She p*ssed me off the most. Everybody in that bus was an idiot. If I would have found a person with a dismantled face, I would tell everybody in the bus to start running - while running. Get out of that town no matter what.
From everything I’ve read, the original directors (Ryan and Andy Tohill) were fired only a week or two into production and replaced with David Blue Garcia. Whatever the Tohill brothers shot was scrapped and redone by Garcia (reportedly the studio was unhappy with the footage they’d been sent), but they weren’t anywhere close to having the entire script filmed and Garcia didn’t make any significant changes to the script.
@@D0NU75 Not really sure what you mean, the studio knew what kind of movie they wanted to make and realized pretty quick the directors they originally hired weren’t cutting the mustard. Compare that with TCM 2, which Tobe Hooper basically got tricked into directing and started filming with a half-finished script (case in point, most of Bill Moseley and Jim Siedow’s dialogue was improvised on set). Or TCM 3, which saw the original director quit during preproduction, and his replacement get fired a week into filming then almost immediately rehired because the movie was already behind schedule, over-budget, and they couldn’t find a replacement.
Sister's death at the end is one of the stupidest in all of horror history. They fall for the ol' "hes not really dead" trope, then take 100 years to leave, decide to not keep an eye out and shes decapitated in one hit. I am so glad I didn't watch this movie. The makers should genuinely be ashamed of how hard they failed in imitating Halloween (2018).
I could only watch like 20 mins because of how stupid the characters were. Like why tf is she in such a hurry to go to a hospital with an old lady you just fucking met. And seeing that sorry attempt at killing Leatherface with a fucking chin cut…so happy I just opted to hearing FoundFlix talk about it🤦🏽
it would of made more sense if the scene was they left alive, report to the cops, end credits, go back to where leatherface “died” and boom his hand comes out the water and the end.
When Lila says that her friends were the special ones, not her, I thought it was more like "They were the ones that were going to do something great with their lives, not me" rather than "They're the special ones because they were the ones that died in the shooting"
You entertain the hell out of me. I thoroughly enjoy your videos even when I haven’t seen the movie. You’re intelligent, articulate, and passionate about the subject matter. Thank you for what you do.
Watching this movie had me actually rooting for leatherface. They had so many chances to put him down with ranged weapons and decided to get within cup check distance.
It was so frustrating. The same shitty ending like the last Halloween installment. Burn the 'monster' and then travel the world leaving behind small amounts of the ash in churches and other 'holly' places. Some Sky Fairy might be able to handle that a**hole.
for real and the time that curly hair girl was hiding under the bed and moved the mirror with her foot leather face would’ve saw that because he was most likely looking at the mirror too
Half of the show, I'm already cheering on leatherface to annihilate everyone in the movie because of how many stupid decisions made by the characters. Scratch that, it's right from the first victim, I was like "Lady, just shut the fuck up, play dead and stay still. He didn't notice you the first time. Why the hell are you making sounds when he's still there? Are you dumb? You're in the middle of nowhere in a car crash, no one will come to you within 5 minutes where you'll be dead".
Right when Melony? Melody? The curlied hair older sister, said "someone with a little dick would carry a gun" or w/e when the trucker came in to fill gas ... Why? What was the point of insulting him? He didn't DO shit to you at all. After that my mom and I rooted for Leatherface. Then the entire movie just sucked. The gore was spot-on but... The way we entered the kills was rather depressing. Especially when the "Legendary" 1st character arrives and she has a chance to kill him but wants him to talk??? I like the remake back in like 2000 something but it's been a spiral of shiiiiiiiiiit since then.
I used to chastise horror movie characters for being dumb when I was young. But I grew up and experienced the world and can see how absolutely moronic most people are. People can't even make good decisions for themselves on a day to day basis, and you think they're gonna make good decisions in a horror situation? People have egos and a false sense of control. They let that dictate their actions. Just look at a compilation of car accidents and see how many blatantly wrong people get angry as if they didn't do anything. If anything, seeing stupid people in horror movies is very accurate regarding people these days. It's to the point where I actually think the "smarter" ones are worse characters sometimes because their decisions are usually based off of nothing.
@@GeekedOutNeckbeard that's very representative of how people today act tbh. Completely rude and horrible to others for absolutely no reason. It's a little exaggerated for the cinematic experience but don't think that it's that far off from reality.
I hate how the girl said she never fired a gun before, yet was able to fire not 1 but 2 shotgun blasts without it flying right out her hands into her face.
Not to mention his family called him for all their work. “I started beef with this guy, kill him you’re insane” in the older movies. Everytime he tried to do anything for himself they called on him to take care of them knowing he would.
I had this theory while watching it that Leatherface would actually be 3 or 4 different people from the town trying to set up the massacre so nobody takes their home, that's why sometimes he would get hurt (when he breaks his ankle fighting the cap guy) but later acted fine, or showed anomalous behavior (like when he runs away afraid from 1st movie survivor and then comes back running from a dark alley completely fearless), also the only "native" people that he kills were helping the "invaders" to settle up so they would be seen as traitors, plus the first building the protagonists get in is an orphanage so I also thought that maybe the fake leatherfaces would end up being orphans raised by OG leatherface which is now past 80 so he would be in the same health state as "Grandpa" in the original movie What do yall people think? Super leatherface or Old man leatherface? Greetings from 🇪🇸
One thing this movie did well was the visuals & camera work involving leather face early in the movie, like appearing in the reflection of the pots is a nice touch that definitely got a reaction out of me!
If I can make a recommendation, I would love for you to do a video looking at “The Hills have Eyes” (2006). I remember being really creeped/grossed out by the film at the time. I’d love to hear your thoughts on it.
The "scare" parts of the movie pays kinda nice, specially the part where he stands up on the sunflower field, truly good scene right there! Gave me chills. But man, what a disaster was those injuries that should have instantly killed someone, but instead they just stood there alive... what a comic disaster. The old woman gets a chainsaw in her belly, got on the air with her body opened by the chainsaw, and some time after she is there not only alive but also could talk LOL Honestly i feel that they knew they could make a cool movie, but instead decided to throw some reeeally trash stuff like that. I mean, dont get me wrong but for me the first problem is in the first moments of the movie, where you can easily guess the whole movie plot: Sisters are the main characters, the depressed sister is gonna have some kind of redemption moment, and we are about to witness a Demigod-Leatherface gets rekt by two little girls Very predictable movie and really wacky story, only moment that saved the whole movie is definetely Leatherface in the sunflower field, if wasn't for that, i would say is absolute waste of time.
I somehow forgot this channel existed, after binge watching their videos for days... Now I ''discover'' it again after there's so many other channels popping up resuming movies out there. I'm comming home to Papa.
I am in a love hate relationship with this movie. I love seeing influencers being annoying and simultaneously being killed for said annoyance but I have so many issues with it. Melody isn’t likable AT ALL, so the slow burn, and twist end wasn’t satisfying at all for me. Her surviving most of the movie made me pissed when she died, it didn’t have the pay off that Dante’s death did. It also aggravated the life out of me that they’re STILL trying to pretend Leatherface is a supernatural entity that’s immortal. He had what, five, gunshot wounds? Along with a chainsaw wound and a partial drowning when he came back for Mel at the end, I almost rage threw my phone at that point. The scene in the bus where he takes out all the buyers was the only thing I really really loved, other than of course the satisfaction of a bunch of influencers going into a run down town acting like they own the place and getting their shit rocked as a whole. That rant probably makes no sense but I needed somewhere to spill it.
Honestly, I agree with all that. The only way I really enjoyed watching it was with that video of Trixie Mattel and Katya reacting to it. Honestly, this felt more like an edgy fanfiction than a Texas Chainsaw movie. Right down to the Han Solo style death of the legacy character and the supposed passing of the torch.
I didnt mind the movie too much but im also not into the lore of Leatherface. So I just turned my brain off and watched it. Melody sucked and I knew she would die and when it happened I was stoked, granted it took all movie. 21:30 this is probably why I didn't mind her too much. Otherwise I cant stand woke pretentious characters
@@liquidsunshine697 If I separate how long it took her to get killed, her death is actually pretty badass compared to say the blonde girl who’s name I can’t even recall. The corkscrew to his hand was definitely her one redeeming moment.
I love how in the ending, they just casually ride slowly in autopilot while in the town where a fat killer wearing the face of his mother lives at. also I love how melody used the chainsaw on leatherface and they didnt even check if hes actually dead. point is ALL THE CHARACTERS IN THE MOVIE ARE BRAIN DEAD except for richter “the dude with the guns” who is the only person in the movie who still has brain cells left.
The girls don't check if Leatherface was dead because he was underwater. No one is going to swim down in that nasty ass water full of blood to make sure is someone is dead. Also, Leatherface gets shot a few times and has his face slashed by a chainsaw. So of course you would assume anyone would die from that. You're not any smarter than the victims in this movie.
It'd be nice if a larger channel tackled the Slumber Party Massacre remake of last year. It is INTENSELY divisive in my mind and it seems it's polarizing for most audiences too.

I think people often ignore how visually interesting the film looks. There were a lot of shots that are actually really cool, like the shot of Bubba lifting his head out of the flowers. I think there is an actual explanation for why the nearly 70 year old Leather Face can still be so strong. Since his mind isn't really developed, it is possible that he also doesn't have the same limiters most humans can only break with sheer adrenaline during times of extreme duress (like pinned by a tree or such). There for, he is still working with 100% of what his body is truly capable of. Though I also imagine his body is tearing itself apart doing so which is why our brains limit it in the first place but he hasn't done this in nearly 50 years so he's still intact. Or its just horror movie logic and its all 'just because killer'
limiters dont have speedy healing side effects. what they do is make them feel less pain and endure more, but whatever damage they sustain will be the same. in fact it's more dangerous as you keep going getting yourself hurt not knowing it's beyond your body's ability to repair itself without dying.
I liked the one with Jessica Biel, you can almost feel the unbearable heat and and smell the rotten food, bodies, everything rotting 😂 like the first one
This movie made me scream at the screen like "omg dude call the cops with ur phones!!!. U have fucken signal to go live! Use it to call for help". It was so frustrating watching this. I never routed for leatherface more than I did in this movie
Lmao yeah in old movies it made sense because of no ability to call or message right away, as much distance these guys had from leatherface, someone had some phone and some sort of signal lol..idk, the closest thing I can relate to this, is the cannibal island a couple missionaries went to in modern times and fuckin died cuz stupid.
Well, the movie did show what the current generation(s) would do like many do. "Oh, someone's getting beaten /killed/! I'll bring out my phone and record it!" It's sad but true
@@overlordvelvet7301 to be fair they actually went “live” and were broadcasting it and the viewers said it looked fake, still not actually helpful in a life or death situation but more helpful than recording LOL
All I could think was “Just let him get the other people, run away into a field where you still have service and call the police” The sunflower field would’ve been a great place to hide where he wouldn’t have bothered looking because he had already been there earlier in the day.
In the original movie that takes place in 1974. Leatherface is an 26 year old adult. Now in the 2022 version there's the picture of a child/young teen leatherface with the picture dated 1975. They screwed up with that one too

12:05 she feels that she has to do something important with her life because other people died and not her and not doing something means that the world would have been better if she would've died and someone else survived Thats what she meant when saying that her friends were special. To her, her friends could have done great things and she just "average" and wont amount to nothing. This is an actual thing called "survivor's guilt"
I think the Deadmeat Podcast got a good take on this recently when they said Jason & Micheal were sharks but Leatherface is a scared animal and that's why this iteration doesn't really work.
All things considered, Alexandra's D'Addario's were the only good things about Texas Chainsaw 3D. This somehow outclassed that. The remake from 03 is pretty awesome, definitely 2nd in terms of being a good movie. R Lee Ermey as the Sheriff was amazing.
Bus part was definitely the best part. I honestly paused to see some of the comments those people were getting while leatherface was tearing them up lol. Some of those seemed like legit things people would actually say if that ever happened though lol.
The whole point about the original TCM is that Leatherface (and family) are humans. To make him an invincible killer is missing the point of the original.
There were a lot of dumb moments in this one but I really enjoyed yelling at the characters through my tv. Also I’m trying to figure out how that chainsaw cut through a steel pipe like it was butter 19:03
15:17 "...I can't wait for all these idiots to get violently slaughtered..." Same sentiment. I didn't find anyone in the film likeable nor did I care for their demise. And the whole thing was just grating and stupid from start to end.
I was done when 'Sally' called him 'Leather face '.... really bothered me and I HATED it way more than it should have 💔 I knew it would suck..... I wasn't let down
This movie was fun. I lmao sooo much. Especially at the ending scene.where leatherface cut the girl's head off and waving it at her sister as if to say got her.
The fact that you forgot about the prequel to the '03 remake entirely is so funny to me just because that was the first TCM movie I ever saw. I was like, 11 at the time. It's burned into my mind especially because directly afterwards I went down for dinner and it was steak. Medium rare, just how I like it. First and only time I ever picked at a steak unenthusiasticly and didn't tear into it like an animal lol
Bubba did absolutely nothing wrong this movie. His adoptive mum (i assume she took him in after the whole thing with the first and maybe second movie) was just trying to protect her son and her property and these assholes just assumed they owned it without actually looking at their files. Poor Bubba just wanted to go home and he's being bothered by the people who killed the woman kind enough to take him in and love him. Justice for Bubba, honestly. Only one he shouldn't have killed was the trucker dude but you know, casualties happen.
Art is subjective. A movie is storytelling. A movie may involve a number of different forms of art, but it also requires the quantitative input of countless individuals that can either succeed or fail. Movies can indeed be objectively good or bad. Anybody telling you otherwise is in denial about their own guilty pleasures. I love the channel. Keep up the good work.

The most anti-climatic part was when the old woman who waited 50 years to get revenge was put down almost instantly by Leatherface. I thought it was going to be this epic showdown

@@TheSCPStudio i wanna jump off a tall building after reading this.. the second hand embarrassment

@@gloopy-error35 the movie was clearly made to catch the attention of millenials lmao, idk if they were being serious or not when writing the main characters
@@sleepy7337 right? I really don't understand how they thought the characters they made would be likeable if that's what they were trying to do. It's most likely a case of something I've seen a lot of horror movie sequel review videos point out recently where a sequel gets made that intentionally makes you root for the villain instead of the victims because the movie is aware of the fact that no one watches these movies to see people survive anymore, they want to see their favorite slashers return to annihilate everyone lol
That's the only way I can see that might justify all the dumb decisions and unbearable characters in this movie
Shotgun looks like a customized short barrel Mossberg 500 shooting slugs so basically it likely wasnt going to kill leather face even if he didnt have armor and if he did it like would've broken the first shells but like by the 300 shot it shouldve killed him
Also Lila, who never shot a gun in her life, could handle shotgun's recoil like a pro. That annoys me a lot.

From everything I’ve read, the original directors (Ryan and Andy Tohill) were fired only a week or two into production and replaced with David Blue Garcia. Whatever the Tohill brothers shot was scrapped and redone by Garcia (reportedly the studio was unhappy with the footage they’d been sent), but they weren’t anywhere close to having the entire script filmed and Garcia didn’t make any significant changes to the script.
so the film is akin to a chicken running without head
@@D0NU75 Not really sure what you mean, the studio knew what kind of movie they wanted to make and realized pretty quick the directors they originally hired weren’t cutting the mustard. Compare that with TCM 2, which Tobe Hooper basically got tricked into directing and started filming with a half-finished script (case in point, most of Bill Moseley and Jim Siedow’s dialogue was improvised on set). Or TCM 3, which saw the original director quit during preproduction, and his replacement get fired a week into filming then almost immediately rehired because the movie was already behind schedule, over-budget, and they couldn’t find a replacement.

for real and the time that curly hair girl was hiding under the bed and moved the mirror with her foot leather face would’ve saw that because he was most likely looking at the mirror too
I remember watching this channel back in 2016. Has come such a long way
Half of the show, I'm already cheering on leatherface to annihilate everyone in the movie because of how many stupid decisions made by the characters.
I thought we were SUPPOSED to root for Leatherface. My bad.
I swear I was saying the same thing 🤣🤣🤣
I hate how the girl said she never fired a gun before, yet was able to fire not 1 but 2 shotgun blasts without it flying right out her hands into her face.
specially after setting up how something as little as the clicking of the trigger set her off immediately
Right? That recoil is no fucking joke. She would've knocked herself out with that gun lol
It's really not that hard.
@@jacobstaten2366 well not for normal people but they stablish she has ptsd
Shotguns are pretty easy to use.

I understand him in a way. He just wants to be left alone. He never starts the beef but he'll end it 🤷♀️.
Not to mention his family called him for all their work. “I started beef with this guy, kill him you’re insane” in the older movies. Everytime he tried to do anything for himself they called on him to take care of them knowing he would.
but he only killed for his family not for any other reason
@sasukeuchiha8801 Bros trying to be edgy lol
I had this theory while watching it that Leatherface would actually be 3 or 4 different people from the town trying to set up the massacre so nobody takes their home, that's why sometimes he would get hurt (when he breaks his ankle fighting the cap guy) but later acted fine, or showed anomalous behavior (like when he runs away afraid from 1st movie survivor and then comes back running from a dark alley completely fearless), also the only "native" people that he kills were helping the "invaders" to settle up so they would be seen as traitors, plus the first building the protagonists get in is an orphanage so I also thought that maybe the fake leatherfaces would end up being orphans raised by OG leatherface which is now past 80 so he would be in the same health state as "Grandpa" in the original movie
What do yall people think? Super leatherface or Old man leatherface?
Greetings from 🇪🇸
It certainly would have made a better story, and a lot more sense.
Doesn't sound too bad.
Good theory. It would feel like the family from the first movie.
That actually sounds dope
This would have been a far better movie.
One thing this movie did well was the visuals & camera work involving leather face early in the movie, like appearing in the reflection of the pots is a nice touch that definitely got a reaction out of me!
There was a lot of fantastic cinematography and lighting and such wasted or hamstrung by the script and editing x_x
@@DeadHorse84 totally agree! I just came back to this and was feeling this exact way. Feels like eery trope possible is in this movie
If I can make a recommendation, I would love for you to do a video looking at “The Hills have Eyes” (2006). I remember being really creeped/grossed out by the film at the time. I’d love to hear your thoughts on it.
I agree

@@rentstoohigh1587 Toxic
The "scare" parts of the movie pays kinda nice, specially the part where he stands up on the sunflower field, truly good scene right there! Gave me chills.
But man, what a disaster was those injuries that should have instantly killed someone, but instead they just stood there alive... what a comic disaster.
The old woman gets a chainsaw in her belly, got on the air with her body opened by the chainsaw, and some time after she is there not only alive but also could talk LOL
Honestly i feel that they knew they could make a cool movie, but instead decided to throw some reeeally trash stuff like that.
I mean, dont get me wrong but for me the first problem is in the first moments of the movie, where you can easily guess the whole movie plot: Sisters are the main characters, the depressed sister is gonna have some kind of redemption moment, and we are about to witness a Demigod-Leatherface gets rekt by two little girls
Very predictable movie and really wacky story, only moment that saved the whole movie is definetely Leatherface in the sunflower field, if wasn't for that, i would say is absolute waste of time.
11:21 Giant empty field but still manages to hit the only large rusted tractor there
When leatherface popped out the corn, I cracked up 😆 and when he came sprinting out the alley like Usain Bolt .. ridiculous
The corkscrew to his hand was definitely her one redeeming moment.
wait, how do you know he isn't supernatural? is it confirmed by the filmmakers?
@@themoviescorelad3230 yes it is confirmed that he isnt supernatural but just has what can only be called hillbilly strength.
I love how in the ending, they just casually ride slowly in autopilot while in the town where a fat killer wearing the face of his mother lives at.
also I love how melody used the chainsaw on leatherface and they didnt even check if hes actually dead.
point is ALL THE CHARACTERS IN THE MOVIE ARE BRAIN DEAD
except for richter “the dude with the guns”
who is the only person in the movie who still has brain cells left.
@@pandaath She barely grazed him with that hit but my problem is, why did they wait? And why are they driving in the morning, WITH SLOW ASS AUTOPILOT

Was the last comment supposed to be ironic?
@@pandaath well the movie is stupid for having him alive after being shot numerous times stabbed and hit with a chainsaw
It'd be nice if a larger channel tackled the Slumber Party Massacre remake of last year. It is INTENSELY divisive in my mind and it seems it's polarizing for most audiences too.
24:28 "Don't run if you do he never stops hunting you" but like... he did though, right? Like he was just at that orphanage and she was an old lady who was still alive?
On top of not even knowing who she is or what she was talking about and just walked on by her. Did this character not even watch the first movie at least to study Sally?
She meant Haunting not hunting you. Because she can’t get over the trauma she was through about her friends. Creating her weird revenge plot
The original pretty famously ends with him giving up on chasing her in a car 🤣
FoundFLIX thank you for being you and making this channel, there's so many horror movies I'd never get around to watching but I can just come here and get your summaries and thoughts about them and it's way faster than watching them and also way more interesting I love your commentary and humor! :) (Also most of them are too scary...)

I think people often ignore how visually interesting the film looks. There were a lot of shots that are actually really cool, like the shot of Bubba lifting his head out of the flowers. I also really like his new design, but that's about it for this film.
I think that there were some interesting ideas and concepts that if they explored them better could've made it a great film
The cinematography is literally one of the only positives I've seen from all the reviews I've listened to and read, no one's ignoring the one of two positives this film had lmfao
Edit - and I apologize if the original comment came off as rude this film just irritated tf out of me

Satisfying? Yes. Justifiable? No.
Lol
I was relieved when Leatherface killed Melody, she was so whiny
My brother is slow and hes got that unbridled strength, hes a fucking beast.
I liked the one with Jessica Biel, you can almost feel the unbearable heat and and smell the rotten food, bodies, everything rotting 😂 like the first one

All I could think was “Just let him get the other people, run away into a field where you still have service and call the police” The sunflower field would’ve been a great place to hide where he wouldn’t have bothered looking because he had already been there earlier in the day.
I didn't even know this was ever in production, much less knew anything about it coming out.
This definitely proves to me that he cant b fully human, he is bout 76 years old and still moves like he hasn't aged a day at all
He is fully human, and retarted this movie just sucks
In the original movie that takes place in 1974. Leatherface is an 26 year old adult. Now in the 2022 version there's the picture of a child/young teen leatherface with the picture dated 1975. They screwed up with that one too
It's right, he wouldn't have been in the orphanage during the first murdering spree
He wasn’t a child in the photo she just took him in
Literally backed out after you roasted The Beginning. R.Lee Ermy is comedic gold in that, with amazing lines.

“He never stops chasing you”
Leather face the entire movie: who is this lady?
Wait so that chick from the first one has been looking for leatherface but he's been in the same house for 50 years? Where was she looking at?
He found his way to a random orphanage im guessing not even that far considering how long it took to get there but if she was a terrible tracker 💀
12:05 she feels that she has to do something important with her life because other people died and not her and not doing something means that the world would have been better if she would've died and someone else survived
Thats what she meant when saying that her friends were special. To her, her friends could have done great things and she just "average" and wont amount to nothing.
This is an actual thing called "survivor's guilt"

"He never stops hunting you" evidently not if he stayed in the same place for 40 years

I can’t believe sooo many people get this quote wrong -_-
Like in a mental/emotional way
I think the Deadmeat Podcast got a good take on this recently when they said Jason & Micheal were sharks but Leatherface is a scared animal and that's why this iteration doesn't really work.
The 2003 one is my favorite by far I saw it in theaters twice and own the deluxe DVD
All things considered, Alexandra's D'Addario's were the only good things about Texas Chainsaw 3D. This somehow outclassed that.
The remake from 03 is pretty awesome, definitely 2nd in terms of being a good movie. R Lee Ermey as the Sheriff was amazing.
That’s the best one imo
The 03 Remake is my favorite aside from the original.
My son's principal looks like him. That movie was hilarious
Rip R Lee Ermey
The 2013 Texas Chainsaw makes more sense than this one lol
You know you're in for a doozy when Flixie has to put "What went wrong" in the title.
Sally: "If you run, he never stops chasing you"
Lila: "Isn't that Michael Myers"
Sally: "Fuck, Wrong Movie"
Bus part was definitely the best part. I honestly paused to see some of the comments those people were getting while leatherface was tearing them up lol. Some of those seemed like legit things people would actually say if that ever happened though lol.

I think you are one of the best RUclipsrs out there. Gets straight to the point, explains movies perfectly and is honest!🔥 thank you for the videos
The whole point about the original TCM is that Leatherface (and family) are humans. To make him an invincible killer is missing the point of the original.
You forgot the best part, Dante singing "OOOH" when they get out the car in Harlow 😭😭
I love that he can pull a old chainsaw that hasn’t been serviced or fluids changed in years. Out of a wall and starts it right up !
There were a lot of dumb moments in this one but I really enjoyed yelling at the characters through my tv. Also I’m trying to figure out how that chainsaw cut through a steel pipe like it was butter 19:03
Leather face is the ultimate athlete at that age. Would’ve made a phenomenal defensive lineman
15:17 "...I can't wait for all these idiots to get violently slaughtered..."
Same sentiment. I didn't find anyone in the film likeable nor did I care for their demise. And the whole thing was just grating and stupid from start to end.
I was done when 'Sally' called him 'Leather face '.... really bothered me and I HATED it way more than it should have 💔 I knew it would suck..... I wasn't let down
thank you for reminding me of the movie without having to re-watch it all
This movie was fun.
I like how you became morr of an reviewer than just telling what happened. Gives you more of a personality
Yeah they did trucker dude dirty
