The name Jurgis is a reference to the 1906 novel the jungle by upton Sinclair. It was (at the time of its release) an exposé on the meat packing industry and what prompted the muckraking. Really funny and apropos reference for the movie lol
That ending is one of the most well done plot twists I’ve seen, it seemed like it was just another realistic slasher film on the surface, but the crazy twist that it had primordial reptilian human eaters that lived underground and the butcher was actually just feeding them was so unexpected.

If every city is dependent on the abominations to prosper, I wonder what makes the difference between the levels of success in each city? Like what has made Los Angeles's abominations more potent than say... Columbus, OH?
Also, what constitutes a "city.". How big/populous does a society have to be in order to be classified as a city?
Maybe the entity "whispers" into people and give them ideas which in turn make the cities prosper and that they whisper more often the more they are fed. OR they could really be just asshole entities, powerful but indifferent and just tricked people into feeding them by using some arcane stuff to extend the life of the "fathers".
I don't know about America but in the UK where Barker's from it depends on whether we have a cathedral and if we have more houses than flats (apartments)
I already saw this on another movie recapped channel but Found Flix will always be the best so here I am watching again
This movie was surprisingly really good an underrated I feel like whoever back the making of it didn't have much Faith behind it cuz this one got swept under the rug
Its sad that we wont see new good horror movies like that or Hostel, Wrong Turn or House of Wax. I miss these teenie horror movies.
I actually liked this movie. Did not see the ending coming. Can you please cover 2020 "The Room"? It was on one of yours polls once but lost. That movie is so good but confusing and I'd love your take on it. Thank you!! 🙂🌻
Thank you for covering this Foundflix!
I AM so delighted for this one ❤ what an underdog of a horror movie. Thank you, FF!
Imagine being Bradley cooper when this ‘released’ first big break and it just gets canned..then you try it again and get thrust straight into stardom
Basically this what's happen when you train the new guy without the knowledge of youre being fired and he's your replacement
Takashi Mike loves the "character turns around and looks at camera" ending, he's used it in like 4 movies
The guardian angel on the train was Rampage Jackson! Also I like the reference to the real Guardian Angels in NY those guys are legends
this is one of those times im positive i already watched this on your channel.. hahaha. love this flick and the short story, too.
I never knew this movie exists and i glad to watch it. The only thing that i don’t like is the cgi is a bit wonky and weird but the gore is still good.
watcht this one on another channel but because its you! i will forever click on whatever you upload!
