So agree with your stance on blind buying. I don’t mind including a blind buy cheapie to get free shipping or something like that but I’m cutting the cord on blind buying anything over $50. Since we generally like the same scents I if I’m considering something, I’ll usually try to find a video where you have reviewed what I’m considering!! My brain interprets Narco Oasis as a summer scent, but now I’m thinking you’re right…. It will be amazing in cold weather too! I have been loving it and the vanilla gets deeper and stronger as it settles. Lol we are scent twins. I agree with pretty much all of these. ❤
You are right! It screams Summer but that vanillic brown sugar dry down is exactly what I needed the others weren’t providing for me. Just enough it will be great in the Fall, esp. paired with a nice vanilla body cream. 💕

Great video. Minnie bottle is gorgeous but the price tag is just too much. Actually all HOS is beyond my budget even on sale lmao. It’s nice to hear someone say it’s a pass though because it is really hyped by most reviewers. The Wonder Woman 84 one has intrigued me but it’s so expensive. Was very excited to see the title of this video! I totally agree with just about everything you said! I was hoping both Gritti would be just what you were hoping for and both were nothing like what I was expecting. Caramelo Vanilla too much like every other vanilla. Minnie Mouse smelled like a cheap body spray on me with none of the notes really coming through. Burberry bored me to tears, especially since I was so excited for a three vanilla easy to get your hands on fragrance…it was a boring lavender on me. I haven’t tried Narco Oasis because I figured it would disappoint but I will try it because creamy fruity vanilla is what I was wanting it to be. Whew! That was a lot to say lol😘

Hey Chris. Hope you are enjoying your holiday weekend. Like you I’ve completely stopped blind buying and purchasing things that are just too similar to something I already own. That is unless it just wows me. I’m really enjoying testing and wearing all of these samples and decants I already own so I’m passing on a lot of new releases at the moment. I’m just testing for now. Hopefully I will find some things I’d like to give for gifts at Christmas. Be well.

Hi Chris! Thanks for the headsup on Hufflepuff! I pulled the trigger even though I was very hesitant even with the 30% off right now. It's very spendy but delicious and just a piece of art on my vanity. I totally feel you on the Gritti perfumes! I sampled tutu, tutu blanc, gossip night and chantilly. None worked for me! Something in the notes were synthetic and not for me. I am loving Burberry Goddess! It projects on me and lasts. I'm surprised you had a different experience. I love that it's not a gourmand vanilla... something classy and cozy. I would love to hear your thoughts on Akro Rise & Liis Ethereal Wave. I'm hoping to sample those soon!

I recently received a free sample with a purchase from a house I've never heard of before. Siesta by Ramon Monegal. It's a vanilla woody scent with honey & Iris that blew my socks off. Can't wait for a full bottle

Gritti is definitely a hit-or-miss house. Like you, I totally love Duchessa so I thought I'd love Tutu, Tutu Blanc and Gossip Night, but none of them really worked for me. Gossip Night is a nice release but in terms of peach perfumes I prefer Bonbon Pop from House of Oud... definitely a yummier-smelling gourmand! Fragrances are so expensive nowadays I definitely never blind buy! Thank God for ScentSplit and Etsy! ;)

I see a LOT of RUclipsrs not loving the Gritti house! It shocks me so much because I just love them! I find them to be so interesting because while they are very gourmand, they are classy and floral! I have Ducchesa, Tutu, Chantilly, and Tutu Blanc. Maybe try Tutu Blanc next? I have seen many that don’t adore the house loving that one! I had the same reaction to Burberry Goddess. It’s a lovely vanilla but quite basic compared to my other vanillas! Great video! ❤
I don’t like that they don’t offer discovery sets. I wanted to try Mon Ami but nobody has a sample I could try. Blind buying is too expensive. I tried Chantilly and Pomelo sg from Gritti but I was not wowed either

Oh it is beautiful!! I agree!!! I just wished I could smell it! From what I’m getting in FB here and on IG is it’s split 50-50 on performance. 50% of us cannot smell it. I wish I was in the 50% who could smell it and poor thing would get lost in all of my vanillas. Someone here even left a comment they got zero vanilla and all lavender so as per usual…our experiences can vary vastly. And I’m trying hard not to keep buying overlapping perfumes; I mean I rejected them all today (with one maybe). 😂

😂 it was great to get your take on these ones, Chris! Everyone seems to lose their mind over Minnie and the new Goddess especially. Not quite what you asked us to comment on, but for the upcoming autumn months, I'm trying to decide what I would like to get next. I was considering between Plum in Cognac, Overture (woman), and Apple and Aces. Thoughts on those? They all give me the same vibe, if not the exact same smell.

And I actually just got a 50ml of Ylang Ylang Nosey Be. I love the creaminess and how spicy it comes off to me, so it's going to be one of my transition scents.

Oh I’ve got some Sarah Baker! Let’s see how many I can scrounge up: I’d love it if Benigna had a discovery set! I would buy that 5 months ago. They have a coffrett of the 15 mls but it’s in the several hundreds …just to sample. Let me double check to see if they have since gotten smaller samples/decants.

Wow, I tested Goddess on a hot day, and it made me feel sick because of how strong it is. I immediately rushed to take a shower. It seemed beautiful to me, but definitely a fragrance for cold weather. :)
I’ll give it one more try. It was so beautiful when I could smell it but from comments here and IG it seems around 50% really struggle with projection and longevity. I WISH I was in the other group. What a gem of a perfume. It is allergy season here and my nose could be wonky these past few weeks
Omg we’re practically scent twins here! I had a very similar experience with these. I found a lot pleasant but not wowing me (except for Burberry Goddess, I luckily get about a good half day’s wear out of it 😁)

@@ThePerfumeNest I tried Burberry Goddess at Nordstrom and Sephora on separate days and both had lackluster staying power. However, My Burberry, has performs like an Olympian champion.
Gypsy Water is also a lightweight in the longevity arena of fragrances.
For your raspberry video, have you tried Ralph Lauren Beyond Romance? It has this beautiful raspberry syrup note. It is beautiful!

I also blind bought Oasis bc I love Dulce Diablo and the notes looked absolutely safe , it's not yet the Love for Dulce Diablo ... I'm not disappointed , but risky and could have been very costly , I will try to take your advice in the future 😍... try 😂
Yes! I had the slight opposite experience. I tried Dulce Diablo, and it was yummy…something I would eat but for some strange reason, chocolate and apricot was not a combo I wanted to wear as a perfume. So Oasis eeked it out. 💕💕

I also bought Minnie at the half off sale. It was worth it for me cause i do not have a lot of luxury items and I do love Disney. I do not have Mickey mouse. But i must say Wonder Woman for me is a definate LOVE...I can smell my wrist all day it is romantic and just beautiful, it smells like a desert.

Goddess turns to a powdery mess on me unfortunately… 🤷🏻♀️ I tried the new Narciso Rodriguez All of me and it’s very underwhelming. The new L’interdit Rouge Intense is too similar to the Rouge. I have Bianco Latte and am head over heels for it! It is phenomenal. And then I just tested Escapade Gourmande and was surprised by how close it is - it is really good but I wouldn't buy it because it is so close to Bianco, and I prefer Bianco (great projection/sillage & longevity)... so I appreciate hearing when there are other perfumes VERY close to something I own. Not enough RUclipsrs share that information.

Very interesting take on Minnie & Mickey Mouse. I feel the opposite, I didn’t care for Mickey but I love Minnie. I love Minnie so much I actually bought a back-up bottle, can’t be without it.

I agree about Goddess 😫 It smells so beautiful but it is just too light, that I could hardly smell it. I have a travel-size that I will love and use up. But not getting it for $160/full size when there are gorgeous niche vanillas that project & last on me - and that I probably prefer anyways.
I’m very appreciative of the feedback and like you and I, many ppl just cannot smell it while other ppl report it has decent projection/performance. I wish I could…when I dig my nose in it smells great. 😃💕😆

Have you tried Dame d’Ile from Gritti? It’s my absolute favorite and probably top 10 for life honestly. Cotton candy and lime with some sexy musk underneath.

Oh dear. They had that sample in a Harry Potter set. I bought it, tried the others but Hufflepuff was the big win for me.
I do notice that vanilla fragrances will not last unless it has anchor notes of either patch or oud.

Have you tried any of the Harmonist fragrances? I got several samples of "Moon Glory" whith a recent purchase from Neiman Marcus and it's fantastic on my actual skin. I haven't that [wowed] by a fragrance in several weeks and I want to try "Guiding Water" next. "Hypmotizing Fire" is ok on a tester strip.. but not my favorite.

Hypnotizing Fire on me gets compliments from strangers…that doesn’t happen very often! 🤣
@@ThePerfumeNest I haven't tried Hypnotixzing fire on actual skin just on a tester strip. Moon Glory is so good on actual skin. I think some fragrances blossom on actual skin versus a tester strip.. but I don't always have the time, energy, or patience to test on skin when trying new fragrances.

That said, I just bought Zoologist Chameleon after I used up a travel spray. Fall is coming and I think of this as a summer perfume so what is wrong with me? Yes I’m SO glad!!! Money for other things I have my eye on. 😄ooh! I know I have that Chameleon sample in my room. I must try! And yes I’ve got my camera set to a “soft” or “smooth” setting. When it’s too much in focus, ppl complain the shine on my face is too noticeable which I don’t have in real life…it just looks that way with four lights pointing directly at me. It’s one or the other. 🤣🤦♀️

I notice a bit of a trend with some of the perfume channels I watch that they are now talking about decluttering and downsizing. hahaha! I will never be able to really "declutter" as I don't think of my collection as clutter. I am getting a bit overwhelmed since I have no dedicated storage thus far and so forth, but it's so hard! They ALL bring me joy even if I don't wear them all in a season. oxJulia

I had the worst experience i blind bought Minnie Mouse and gosh its terrible! I will never blind buy a HOS again. It smelled so freakin synthetic the raspberry like a cough medicine the dry down is a really yummy marshmallow but it lasts 40 minutes on my skin wtf i hate it. FDB Lovely was a huge scrubber i couldnt stand the notes
I liked Griti Chantilly but its simple not for fall. Burberry Goddess is super hyped i havent smelled it yet but my vanillas i have are much better just like you said. I want to try Oasis but its hard to get a hold of in europe
Yes don’t blind buy those HOS!!! They have discovery sets! I think I’ve purchased every set they have; and saved a ton in then end not blind buying ones I thought I’d love.

I agree about Minnie, I could barely smell the marshmallow people rave about- I think Cassiopeia is closer to what people describe and it projects and lasts MUCH longer. And I thought Mickey was better but was a weak version of Andromeda ( also Tiziana Terenzi) Please do a raspberry video it is a note I can barely smell. The more perfume I smell, the more I see Tiziana Terenzi perfumes are amazing. They last, they project, they are complicated and beautiful and affordable - especially on the gray market.
Oh yes I love Cassiopeia! It’s been in my shopping cart for months then I went to buy it, and it was sold out! 😂. I agree….there are not many raspberry perfumes that are overly raspberry.
I have Cassiopea, but I don’t find it similar to Minnie at all.

If you have not noticed but D&G released Dolce Gabbana Devotion EDP. I saw this in Dillard's . And it smells like a warmer and deeper version of Nishane Ani. And of course it's aimed as a church fragrance. Which certainly it could be that.

I’m with you on Gritti. I just don’t think they are that great for the price point. I tested lots of them in Venice last fall and to me most of them are designer scents with niche prices..Z I stopped buying HOS years ago. You’re paying for the bottles and I have never loved any of them. I better stop I’m getting too brutal and I don’t want your viewers coming after me!

I've heard some other folks say they don't get good performance out of Burberry. Goddess. It's wears for at least 6 to 7 hours on me. However, I over spray, including clothes, skin and hair.
Yea the feedback here is 50-50 (longevity) which makes me feel a little better. Im always worried I’ve broken my nose by abusing it. 😂
