We actually had one of the boats over here give tours on the Red River at one time. Last I heard it was giving tours on Caddo lake but that was years ago. Btw I loved that ride and the big canoes. Any idea when the last year it was there?

The Hamel's Duck - There are still at least three still in use 8n Jefferson on the Turning Basin Tour.

LaSalle's River Adventure was done at the end of the 1982 season and the canoes were removed after the 1983 season.

Dusty Wings Productions were the boats self propelled ? I figured they were on some sort of track but was wondering what moved them.

The Hamel's Duck - in the beginning the river boats were gas powered.... then later electric. We pretty much had a forward and reverse in last year's. The "track" was a groove in the bottom of the channel. There was a pole that extended down from the bow and the stern. There was a tire on the end of each pole that rolled inside the channel.
