Manufacturer says 1 to 5 watts.c.b. shops say 1 to 1.5 watts. I'm running 4 watts out of bearcat 880. No problems

Still working? Very curious!! 4 watts is too much and no doubt the the box would be getting extremely hot. Quickly.

Is it still working I would like to know I'm running the same radio into the same amp you are and wondering if it's going to last

How is the fan installed? I want to get his amp, but I want to make sure it stays cool. I’m running my CB ( stock Galaxy 959) and this amp off of my Pyle 30a power supply. Thanks

would like to know what switches do...is the fan 12v?

    • @paganphil100

ted tyson: Switches are (from left to right)......Pre-amp on / off, Power on / off, Mode selector. The fan is an extra (not really needed).

I’m looking for a good little driver for my big amp but I want to be able to lower output from 100 watts which is max drive I can put in my big amp. I want to lower it to 70/80 watts peak and a lower dead key I am only keying 1 1/2 watts from radio swings 28/30 watts so I’m needing a low drive variable amp that won’t do over 100 watts peak out. I know those amps are $69 bucks New you can get two for $135 bucks free shipping. But it’s hard to get when you don’t have a account with the places selling them. But if you can help me out on a driver at a fair price please pm me thanks Jim Illinois try and catch your numb but listening to videos on a phone it’s rough. God bless.

@@dearmeat5386 I posted the price on a few other videos and now they're out of stock. I guess someone bought a bunch to sell for profit. I saw them on eBay for $100-$200+ and with $30-$50 shipping. Unbelievable.

@@dearmeat5386 I might go for the KL-506. That should handle my 10w AM - 25w PeP RCI Ranger RG-99 without having to turn down the RF power. Not sure I want to spend $300 though. Then there's the KL-703 for around $375. Decisions, decisions.

I plan to use this on a mobile with a 4' antenna. Will I have to retune my antenna after putting this inline?

If your antenna has a good tune/swr already it will be fine.
