I would love to see a video of one of the fatboy amps on ssb. So many builders shy away from SSB. If you were to help educate people on SSB it would greatly improve the hobby and set you apart from the rest.
Just ordered one from you for my Jeep. Able to reach out ~12 clear miles with my Uniden 505XL and a 3’ Firestick. Really looking forward to seeing what I can get with the 203.
Awesome video, I really got a 200p and my radio has low medium and high, but I run a dead key RMS on low at 3-1/2 watts all day in my truck! If I put my radio to medium I'm giving it 6 watts dead key. Yes it gets hit but I've talked for hours that way and it never gave me a problem. I have the bottom plate open about a 1/4 inch with no fan . I have opened my floor vent and ran my trucks AC to cool it but that's a lol...
I’m thinkin about using a RM Italy amp with my base station setup. How many amps would a power supply need to be to use it without burning it up? I’m looking at a 100 - 200 watt at most.
What amp powers supply would I need to run a stock radio with side band with this amp hooked to a base antenna also my radio I have a BC980ssb and a cobra 29 classic I run both
So help me upstanding this before I blow up my new Mac Kinley. Are you say that my out of the box President radio at 4 Watts is too much power to run through the Amp? I need to lower the power before Turing o Amp?

Agreed! I like going to side band and DX’ing. Nice getaway from the “bye bye bye” crowd when it gets too much.

I just got mine. I’m running a 980 Uniden Bearcat at 1 W deadkey and running 10 W, The Italian shoes kicks me up to about 100-125 watts.
had one for a while, never used it, I might just play around with it now.

Pretty sure it draws at least 15 amps.
i put 1.1 to 1.2 watts that is the sweat spot.....

I actually just bought a 203. Running it on a president Richard @ 60w. Guy who sold it to me said to turn my rf power all the way down.
is it better to leave your radio bone stock with out peak n tune?
Which do you think is faster a stock vehicle or one that's super charged?
