I know all those tunes and have played them live many times. Those tunes still get it done.
These basses are very popular amongst slappers but I mostly play with a pick in a melodic way and sometimes with some overdrive and it sounds really good. The playability of my V7 is great too.

Love my D5 4 string, but I wish Sire had stuck w/ the smaller vintage frets. Sweetwater is the best btw, and thank you Marcus! Sire, Yamaha, and Sonata MVP have left Fender in the dust. Jungle Boogie indeed!

I was lucky to snag one in the same finish. Simply a fun and comfortable bass to play. The pick-up sounds great and the neck is AMAZING! Great tone options as well. The only thing I'll be upgrading is the bridge to reduce some of the neck diviness and easier intonation - but that's just me being mod friendly - the bass really needs nothing and it's an amazing value!

Love my P5r! Compares extremely well to my Fender American Pro II. I actually like the Sire neck better! Amazing version of ''I'll be There" BTW!
AND, a truss rod adjust position. HELLO fender. What's with having to remove the neck on the vintage models to adjust the truss? That's more vintage than anyone needs. I've never met a bass player that's like. Hey, wouldn't if we could go back to an era where convenience and practicality didn't exist. Marcus, great looking and sounding bass and what do ya know if I need to adjust the truss, I can! Sold.
This would be a great addition to my V5 Fretless.
The way these businessmen pitched to Marcus has to be equal with Marcus's bass talent. Apples and oranges but you get what I mean.

Why is it buzzing ? Mix is too hot.
You can't demo a bass pickup possibilities with a tone knob rolled off.
