That comes with low self esteem, we wonder why people even like us and what they see in us all the time. If only they knew how I really was we say. Thats the thing they do see how we really are they see through our low self esteem/self confidence and see we really are good people with big hearts that like to help people. but we dont give ourselves any credit. We tell ourselves were not good enough, if they only knew, im a piece of shit, poor me etc...Im sure mike has low self esteeem, and low self confidence, no self worth which is hard to imagine cause hes lived an awesome life for the most part why would he feel that way but it doesnt discriminate were human and we have emotions that will make u feel that way. combine that with this shitty world we live in where everyone compares everyone to one another and there you go.
41:32 - 42:16 Is the reason I watch these hotboxin' episodes. Mike has a way of speaking that touches you at the core and makes you think. What he said was so powerful that it made Joey respond with "I love you Mike" lol, good job Mike.
Two dudes in their 50s who were dealt rough hands in life. Both failed in life. Both did terrible things. Both changed. Both are successful. It is a treat to hear these dudes reminisce as they enjoy the relative bliss of the sunset of their lives.
The evolution of Mike Tyson is one of the coolest thing we as the world have had to witness. You can see that he’s always been a gentle/kind man under it all 👍🏽
Joey is epic af, he's always saying some off the wall shit. Combined with Tyson's honesty, he also says some off the wall shit. This is one of my favorite episodes out of any podcast I've seen.

@@joshmartinez3311 This is 100% a proven myth. Im not even sure they use spinal taps for drug test EVER. But you can get busted in the traditional ways (piss & blood) for i think about 48 hours. Im not sure about hair but it seems like the research on it is pretty low. From what i've read it sounds like its not very stable in your hair and they have roughly the same amount of time as the for the other test (24-48 hours) But this might not be true and its possible they could bust you months down the line in a hair test like they can with other drugs and hair
these comments are so stupid hahaha you cant be follicle or spinal tested for lsd, lsd isnt stored in the spine, lsd, psilocybin and dmt do not show up on a reg drug test as they ae so similar to your natural chemistry that you need a specialist test to find them. people dont smoke weed much in prison cos youll piss hot for weeks, most cons switch to meth or heroin as they are 24-48 hours and gone.

That moment where mike started going on about the person testifying against him just shows how that’s on of the worst pains he’s felt. You can see that touches his sweet soul but makes the beast come out in his eyes to protect that soul of his. This is why I love to get high and watch these podcasts. Mike is on a whole nother level in these interviews. Very few really see what he’s talking about. Mike goes DEEEP DEEEEP in his feelings sometimes. If you’re paying close enough attention, you’ll see it. Humans are amazing to study
I've said it for a long time, Mike is one of the greatest philosophers of this generation. Some people think that he's just a dumb, big, strong guy, but many times he says the most profound shit out of nowhere, coming directly from within his soul. He has gone through a lot in his life, and has grown into a wise man. In some ways, he reminds me of a real-life version of Kratos
Mike Tyson is a legend in every way. He has become a sage in his 50s. A poet, a philosopher, a scholar. Incredible. This podcast is historically relevant.
...when Joey said "I love you Mike" @42:18. I can not speak for the next man, but "I" FELT that. Salute and blessings to brother Joey & brother Mike.💪🏾❤

42:18 maybe the greatest moment on podcasts ever! Joey's timing flawless! ♥ And notice the reaction from Mike, he's saying something to him self. I believe he is genuinely surprised and thankful to Joey for saying that!
54:56 "I thought that I was tough...I realize I'm not tough at all..." These are words from a man who can actually fight, but who know the truth about life. Tyson isn't the only person I've heard who has admitted this. It's very sobering because Tyson is a strong dude. He said that he is lucky that nobody killed him. Wow playa.
@holygroove2 I was in the office with my colleagues listening to Tyson say those words. I had try extra to make sure tears didnt find their way out of my eyes. it shows that we are all nothing. life can leave us any time
Yes yes yes mike.is slaughtering the podcast game. Joey's story about mugging the gay dudes by the bridge usually gets a mixed response. Mike was like "ahh the good old days" lol
Coming back to this podcast is like a breath of fresh air, re listening and hearing things I’ve missed Joey really hit me deep when he said about calling someone to check up on them gunna take a note from ur book my friend those who support you through those dark periods or even bright periods you should show gratitude, making someone smile everyday is my own personal goal. Thanks for making me realise, we all seem to forget how mentally and physically uplifting the simple things can be. Let’s all spread some love whether made mistakes or thrived we all have those close to us to thank for not letting us go down a dark alley of no return.
I listen to 4-5 hours of podcasts everyday at work. I work overnights and usually listen to Joey’sChurch, Burr and tons of wrestling pods (don’t judge me lol) But THIS might be the best podcast ever. They should just do a weekly pod together. Or anything on a regular basis. Uncle Joey got more honesty and candidness out of Tyson than anyone including Rogan. Something special about this pair.
They've both been through shit and came out on top with a clear head. Not everyone has that opportunity. Its good to see and I totally agree they should do a pod together 👍🏻

I was tripping when my grandfather passed, he was the most influential person in all of my life and my world. LSD shifted that from a life-altering negative experience to one of love, acceptance, and understanding. I wouldn't say it is for everyone but but for me it was a profound gift. Edit: I might add that I was there right after it happened as we knew the time was near. I just laid my head on his chest and sobbed, told him how much I loved him thank him for being who he was in my life. I can feel him in the passenger seat on the way back to his house after. I got there, laid on his couch n fell into the most peaceful n restful I had had in a very long. I was blessed to have a couple experiences with his spirit afterwards in the coming weeks.

He’s so used to be hated his whole life so it’s prolly hard to adjust to not having any enemies
A deep love also!
Joey Diaz,
“I love you Mike.”
(I felt that.)
Salute.
41:32 - 42:16 Is the reason I watch these hotboxin' episodes. Mike has a way of speaking that touches you at the core and makes you think. What he said was so powerful that it made Joey respond with "I love you Mike" lol, good job Mike.
I laughed so hard at the look on joeys face. Like Mike must have been sooo baked
Thank you for pointing that out. What a life the iron one had lived. One of one

With some stars of death
