thank you so much. calculus has already cause 2 of my mental breakdowns.. missed one class due to some unforseen things, of course which they covered all this stuff that day - came back the next day and was completely blindsided. you explained this very well and clearly... thank you much ;)
It is 6 in the morning having a mental breakdown over this subject, but this video just made everything so. damn. clear. even with my brain fog. Thank you once again.
For the distance traveled I get 52 when taking the definite integral of the velocity for x=0 to 4, oh never mind, I forgot to wrap the function with an absolute value function, it's all good, thx!!!
informative! but you may simply want to confirm reversal of direction by ensuring double derivate of displacement fn as non zero, instead of cross checking in the disp prime fn.
Question: is the v(t) equal to the derrivitive of s(t) because v = the slope of s in the movement graphs? Im asking this because I know that when you get the derrivitive of something you are working out a function to work out the slope of the graph
It's pretty fun & understandable but I have trouble putting my hand on how on earth a derivative turns into another function graphically. I mean, isn't a derivative basically the slope of two points approaching each other almost becoming one? Till we get the rise/run of just one point or the slope of the tangent? How do I derive one point then??? I expect the answer: because it turns into another function. But speaking in a realistic manner, how does that happen & why? It just magically turns into acceleration/time? With totally different points on the graph????? Isn't acceleration just d/t/t ? How can it be "derived" from sth else?
The derivative of a function can evaluated at a single point, or you there are times you can evaluate it at all points. It is this later example that allows us to graph a brand new derivative function from the original. You can think of these as two different graphs with different information. (But still related) Graph 1 can give you say distance Graph 2 can give you speed
When you are calculating distance direction doesn't matter you don't have to use velocity to find total distance. You could have just plugged it into the distance formula and added them up as the answer still would've been 56m.
NO Aksh......if you plug 4 into the Distance Equation you get 52..not 56 This Tutorial is CORRECT ! ..Another way is to Integrate the ABSOLUTE VALUE of the Velocity Equation over interval 0 to 4 ...and you will also get 56Prof FCC..Oct 2017
Just a compliment: Your voice is very teacher like, it's very easy going and makes you feel relaxed when you're learning!
Thanks for the video !! :D
funny how it took this one vid to clear upmost of the things i been struggling trough in calc...thanks so much

good

for those who were confused at 3:52 , the 4 isn't negative because you cant have negative time.
I think the 4 was positive anyway
My teacher didn't explain everything, but this video makes it all super clear! Thanks!
You just saved my calc grade.. missed a few days n have a test tomorrow. Thanks
out of all the videos i watched today .. he made sense ! thank you

This helped so much. Thank you !

Incredibly helpful video, thank you!

Where can i find examples like these to practice?
Simple and easily understandable.
Great lesson!
Also, why is position labeled as 's' instead of 'x'?
Beautiful and clear handwriting by the way~ Helps memorize.
Thank you for the great content. You really helped me a lot! THANK YOUUUUU!!!!
Thank you so much! I didn't know about ways you could test if the velocity was positive or negative
if it were 'displacement', then it would be 52m for the last question, since from 3s to 4s it travels -2m.
Thanks, I needed help with physics and this really helped.
Thanks for the lesson!
God bless u dear.i love it
if this was the position of particle has it already stopped?
I love your videos!!!
Great Video. 👍
this is a great example but I find like the marker some of the numbers look like something else other than the number youre writing
very helpful, thanks
thank you so much, i loved how you explained that :)
tanks that was helpful
Sir how you get 0=6t-24
thank you

I need to solve a word problem that doesn't give me an equation. How do I write one from speed and acceleration given?
Nice
Is this kinematics

Awesome
Where did t raised to 3 minus 12 t raised to 2 plus 45 t came from?
Louise Marie Nietes the derivative
I know too many THIRD DERIVATIVES. I just laughed.
Now I know where it came from
this is clear and succint! fxck I love it❤❤❤
goat talk
wait. Your (v)=0 at 3 and 5 don't you need to figure out the distance traveled between 4 and 5 not 3 and 4.
agreed..
no?
because it's asking for the total distance traveled from x=0 to x=4
such a long video only for this 😔
