Ok I made it. Without the Chinese hot sauce. BUT..it’s the most authentic tasting saliva chicken I’ve ever cooked so far!! I’ve been following another recipe for awhile but this one definitely is a keeper. Thank you so much!
I have tried several of your recipes and I am very pleased with the result and taste. I really like your easy-to-follow video. Can you please do Mala Hot Pot Soup. I tried looking on YT but couldn't find a decent one. Please 🙏 Thank you for all your fabulous content!. Best wishes.
Really love your videos. Not much south east asians share their recipes on RUclips and it's really helpful for me as a young adult to collect some recipes and try on my family. It's really okay to have some mistakes on the measurements of the ingredients as long as you clarify it. Your enthusiasm for food is something that it's really interesting to see through yoyr videos. I hope you will have a non spicy version as well for small kids, or maybe i can just exclude the chilli oil and garlic.
Thank you sooo much, Sharalyn for your kind words. Your family is so lucky to have you! To make this dish suitable for young kids, I think you can just use the sauce we added at the end. Although the name of the sauce is spicy sauce, it’s not really spicy actually. Another way is to use our ginger chicken recipe instead but don’t add old ginger in the ginger mix. Use only young ginger so it won’t be too spicy for kids. Here’s the recipe: ruclips.net/video/Y9-7yHjhIjY/видео.html Happy cooking! 😋
hahhahahahhah I like the last parttt the mistake is super funny, thanks for including that in the video as teaser! XD I love it! and thanks for the recipe too!
I made this last night and it was delicious and tasted exactly like when I would order it in China. Thank you for making my favourite food accessible to me once again!!
That looks super delicious! I am heading to the super market to get all the ingredients, I am planning to make your 5 spice rolls too for the Chinese New Year! Thank you very much for the wonderful videos!!! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Looks delicious, but please find a different name than "Sichuan Saliva Chicken"! Unless you understand Chinese, this does not conjure up the image of an irrestible dish... May I suggest "Mouth-watering Sichuan Chicken"?!
Hi Zhang Qi. The video has been recorded so there’s nothing much we can do. A lot of people call it saliva chicken because it’s a direct translation of its chinese name. But thanks so much for your feedback. We will take note for our future videos 🤓

Roland, do you think you can demonstrate 避风塘炒螃蟹? It's a famous Hong Kong dish with a lot of crispy garlics and dry chilis.. Thabks and sorry for this request 😅😍
Thank you for your clear instructions on all the recipes! Can I skip the Chinese spicy hot sauce? I couldn’t find any in my local oriental store. 😢 or are there any substitute that I can use?
Hi Maria, maybe you can try to get one of those Szechuan stir fry sauce available on amazon india - i thjnk they can be a good substitute. Happy cooking 🤓
Roland, it's torturing to watch yr video and salivating at the same time... Did you purchase yr 鹃城牌 香辣酱 fm NTUC or Cold Storage? Thanks. Iam going to try making my family members salivate this Sat.😅 😆😉
Hi Joyce. We got it from Yuehwa but I thjnk Shengsiong sells them too. If you can’t find it, you can look for spicy broad bean paste under AAA brand from NTUC. Happy cooking!

Hi S. If food continues to come in from Malaysia, our intention is to make some confinement food soon. But if food supply is a problem, we may have to suspend filming for a while. 😰😰 Need to see what happens after Wednesday.
For more aroma, get all the chicken, spice seasonings, condiments, chilli paste, spring onion/coriander leaves ready, then pour the piping hot infused oil over them.

Hey can you do a fish ball noodle soup recipe ? I had it before in Singapore the dry version with the fish ball on the side try to recreate it at home but didn’t turn out well :/ couldn’t find a good recipe online either
Hi Nicky. We have the soup version only for now which is here ruclips.net/video/qsWsa_ngWsU/видео.html - if you wanna make the dry version, you can mix some fish sauce, lard oil, Sambal chilli (our recipe here: ruclips.net/video/e4mS4p5lP08/видео.html) and a little of ketchup plus black vinegar to your dried noodles. Hope this helps. Happy cooking!
