I played Horizon and I remember almost never using fast travel.. Sometimes I'd ride for 1 hour just to get to where I wanted.. Such a beautiful game to spend time with!
Same here dude. Also, I never rode a machine to travel within the world, just for some minor tasks that forced you to do so. I am a fan of riding horses/things in open world games, but in HZD i preferred by far to just walk from location to location, and enjoy the exquisite world I was in.

I had a coworker who would actually request off on the release days of his most highly anticipated games and I always thought he was crazy until now. I wish I could do that for this game 😭
I known people who have done that sort of thing all my life. I remember when I was in High School (I'm 32) and Halo 3 had come out. About 25-50% of my classmates throughout the grade had taken off to play it. I remember my gym teacher commeting about it, also wishing he had taken off to play it but had to work that day. Its more common then people think!
I’m about 1/3 into the game and I’m blown away at the work Guerrilla put into this game. The level of detail, the graphics, the sheer volume of stuff to do, and the world itself is all astonishing. People complain about $70 games but this game is totally worth every penny.
I say PlayStation titles are worth their asking price considering they are for the most part polished complete titles upon release with no monetization or cut into dlc or season passes

I gotta say. Watching this trailer when you have completed the game already really hits differently. Especially since you can draw the context behind each scene and things. Makes you appreciate how much there is to this game.
The trailer got me in total awe with the hair movement, it looks so natural and don't go through bodies, which is hella hard to do. And it seems every characters models are equally on a high level of details and don' have this plastic feels to it

The voice acting and music in this trailer is SO POWERFUL! You can FEEL Aloy's desperate determination! I just started the game and I'm very happy to see that these same cinematic qualities are on full display in the game itself!
dude the sound design, with PS5 3D audio?!?!? I cant wait!! That and I'm soooo curious to see how they've used the Dual Sense. They actually were one of the few developers to experiment with using the Dual Shock controllers features so I'm really excited to see what they can do with arguably the coolest part of the PS5

It's looks better than any other cross gen games. I was worried when I learnt this was not next gen exclusive but they started production way before next gen consoles were finalized but still managed to make this look aboslutely stunning. Can't wait! February is making up for the drought of last year.
I have a feeling that that made the game with the intent of it being played on next generation hardware and will "dumb it down" for ps4 hardware. There's no way they would do it any other way out of fear it would look sub par
I mean let’s be honest. Gorilla have a way of making games seem almost a generation in front. Look at killzone shadow fall from 2013 launch of the PS4 it was ridiculous.

Sony doesn't make games studio does and Sony also buys the studio which make these games, Sony should have given the better game pass service like it's competition this is business and owning a Xbox seems more better option in monetary terms half of the ps exclusives are already available on pc.
Finally a great game studio from the Netherlands and our capital Amsterdam! 🇳🇱 Unlike Blue Box studios from Leiden which is just a scam at this point 😂 But honestly those European studios are pretty special. Housmarque and Remedy are both based in Iceland and have a certain uniqueness about their games which is refreshing. Sony should capitalise more on them.
Ya. I hate it when sequel games try to start you over from the beginning by taking away all your stuff and skills instead of merely adding to them, when it's about the same character anyway. What about continuity?
Something about the way Guerilla does eyes makes them look so lifelike. Even in the original when the bodys looked a bit plastic the eyes looked lifelike
If you zoom in photo mode you can even see the reflections of what Aloy is looking at in her eye. I've got a gorgeous pic of her with The Ring of Metal reflected in her eyes.
What a beautiful game!! It doesn’t even seem a game, it seems real, like live-action. Great CGI and video engine!! I’m actually scared and amazed by it!! Congrats to the developers!!
See, it’s not quite live action, it’s got style, which I MUCH prefer to games that try too hard to look “real.” None of the characters look uncanny valley to me, but if you look at games that try too hard at realism, that can often be the case. Games with unique art styles ALWAYS age better than games that try to look real!

I’ve grew up with games from Activision i’m old school but realistically the releases every year can never compare to these experiences and i’m tired of seeing those names take over… these games speak for themselves and i’m not really awed by the acquisition it’s the end of an era for sure but you can never predict how these can turn around so quickly. Quality over quantity for sure.

The music and the real-time cinematics is absolutely stunning, the BGM in the initial part is great and Horizon theme medley in the latter part. Julie Elven truly makes brings a depth to the game.

I can tell this game will be another masterpiece from this great trailer. I played Horizon Zero Dawn in last November on PC and it has been the best game ever played. So I had to buy PS5 from reseller only to play the sequel. I can't wait to play my favorite Aloy again.
Wow! Couldn't wait either I see! I played it two years ago on PS4. Finally got the PS4 a year before hand to play kingdom hearts 3 (what a let down that was lol). so February last year, after trying to get a ps5 when it leaked online and failing, I found a JBHIFI retailer, a smaller suburb store) that actually had a waiting list. Got one about 2/3 months later. It's been amazing since!! The PS5 has been so great that I've even put off building my new PC lol
Looking forward to the underwater gameplay too. The way the character interacts with the environment is so much more dynamic this time. Because of this broader action gameplay, playing at 60fps with the PS5 version will be the smoothest and most responsive way to interact with this grand adventure.

Just under 2 weeks to go. I'm so excited to play this game. I thought Zero Dawn was one of the best games of the last generation and quite honestly still looks unbelievable 5 years later.
@Cosmic Nava Realistically she does not have the proper functions and real knowings of how to even operate the full form of those old one Humans' armored wares if she does try to put on, the full gear. Unfortunately she doesn't have UNSC-spartan-like armor suit setups there. the kind they have conveniently assisted back on those infinity class ships.
@Cosmic Nava of course yes. if she did had it on, fully, then having the inner HUD, life readings, far reaches of communications from the helmet, the Focus device she has being interconnected with the suit, etc. too bad guerrilla wants to have the game still be as 'Primitive'-looking as possible, rather than slowly having horizon's backwater roots just being peeled off over time and before we realized, the game now looks like any other far modern-like era sci-fi settings.

Primitive armor and all. [Shrugged] not like it was reliable in All situations these Days ever since that patch Years ago. that one legendary banuk armor (what's-it's-name?) that self-regenerates hunter-players' health after a few Seconds seems to be, personally, a bit better (and almost having no need for any health potions too so long as you keep on having to wait on healing that health without further damage) than the ultraweaver for example.

Don’t you worry, with 25 plus exclusive games in development PlayStation isn’t going anywhere. The loss of COD and Overwatch and other big IPs in a year or so will be big, but PlayStation still has the exclusive advantage. Plus it is said a lot of the games in development are multiplayer rather than single player to bring more audiences in to PS. Plus the original guy who worked on the old COD games is on board for the new multiplayer game(s). Plus, Sony can invest in companies too, so don’t worry PlayStation will be fine. It surprised me to see Varl with a focus. Hopefully he has come out of the dark a little as last we saw him he was not happy leaving home. Erend surprised me too as he struck me as more of a guy to say he doesn't need tech. Then again we only see him with it once. And Sylens with no focus. Gotta wonder if this man didn't tech it up further making him able to use it without the need to wear it.

This game is already proven IP, and they've upgraded the exploration and fight mechanisms. Gorilla is hungry still, they wont mess this up.
It's looks better than any other cross gen games. I was worried when I learnt this was not next gen exclusive but they started production way before next gen consoles were finalized but still managed to make this look aboslutely stunning. Can't wait! February is making up for the drought of last year.
I have a feeling that that made the game with the intent of it being played on next generation hardware and will "dumb it down" for ps4 hardware. There's no way they would do it any other way out of fear it would look sub par
I mean let’s be honest. Gorilla have a way of making games seem almost a generation in front. Look at killzone shadow fall from 2013 launch of the PS4 it was ridiculous.

But honestly those European studios are pretty special. Housmarque and Remedy are both based in Iceland and have a certain uniqueness about their games which is refreshing. Sony should capitalise more on them.

Something about the way Guerilla does eyes makes them look so lifelike. Even in the original when the bodys looked a bit plastic the eyes looked lifelike
If you zoom in photo mode you can even see the reflections of what Aloy is looking at in her eye.
I've got a gorgeous pic of her with The Ring of Metal reflected in her eyes.
They recently uploaded a interview with the voice actors that shows off the face capture technology they use to animate the faces

See, it’s not quite live action, it’s got style, which I MUCH prefer to games that try too hard to look “real.” None of the characters look uncanny valley to me, but if you look at games that try too hard at realism, that can often be the case. Games with unique art styles ALWAYS age better than games that try to look real!

I'm hyped for this, even though I don't have a PS5 yet. I'm especially excited about all the new and various robots! Also, I'm loving that Playstation and Guerilla are giving us little sneak peeks to keep us anticipating. All of it looks incredible so far!

I’ve grew up with games from Activision i’m old school but realistically the releases every year can never compare to these experiences and i’m tired of seeing those names take over… these games speak for themselves and i’m not really awed by the acquisition it’s the end of an era for sure but you can never predict how these can turn around so quickly. Quality over quantity for sure.

Got a PS4 pro back in 2017 for Horizon and now this Masterpiece on PS5 GOTY!!!!
The music and the real-time cinematics is absolutely stunning, the BGM in the initial part is great and Horizon theme medley in the latter part. Julie Elven truly makes brings a depth to the game.

I can tell this game will be another masterpiece from this great trailer. I played Horizon Zero Dawn in last November on PC and it has been the best game ever played. So I had to buy PS5 from reseller only to play the sequel. I can't wait to play my favorite Aloy again.

I played it two years ago on PS4. Finally got the PS4 a year before hand to play kingdom hearts 3 (what a let down that was lol).
so February last year, after trying to get a ps5 when it leaked online and failing, I found a JBHIFI retailer, a smaller suburb store) that actually had a waiting list. Got one about 2/3 months later. It's been amazing since!!

Looking forward to the underwater gameplay too. The way the character interacts with the environment is so much more dynamic this time.
Because of this broader action gameplay, playing at 60fps with the PS5 version will be the smoothest and most responsive way to interact with this grand adventure.

@Cosmic Nava Realistically she does not have the proper functions and real knowings of how to even operate the full form of those old one Humans' armored wares if she does try to put on, the full gear.
Unfortunately she doesn't have UNSC-spartan-like armor suit setups there. the kind they have conveniently assisted back on those infinity class ships.
@Cosmic Nava of course yes. if she did had it on, fully, then having the inner HUD, life readings, far reaches of communications from the helmet, the Focus device she has being interconnected with the suit, etc.
too bad guerrilla wants to have the game still be as 'Primitive'-looking as possible, rather than slowly having horizon's backwater roots just being peeled off over time and before we realized, the game now looks like any other far modern-like era sci-fi settings.

not like it was reliable in All situations these Days ever since that patch Years ago. that one legendary banuk armor (what's-it's-name?) that self-regenerates hunter-players' health after a few Seconds seems to be, personally, a bit better (and almost having no need for any health potions too so long as you keep on having to wait on healing that health without further damage) than the ultraweaver for example.

Don’t you worry, with 25 plus exclusive games in development PlayStation isn’t going anywhere. The loss of COD and Overwatch and other big IPs in a year or so will be big, but PlayStation still has the exclusive advantage. Plus it is said a lot of the games in development are multiplayer rather than single player to bring more audiences in to PS. Plus the original guy who worked on the old COD games is on board for the new multiplayer game(s). Plus, Sony can invest in companies too, so don’t worry PlayStation will be fine. Sorry that became very long.

It surprised me to see Varl with a focus. Hopefully he has come out of the dark a little as last we saw him he was not happy leaving home. Erend surprised me too as he struck me as more of a guy to say he doesn't need tech. Then again we only see him with it once.
And Sylens with no focus. Gotta wonder if this man didn't tech it up further making him able to use it without the need to wear it.
