"I can taste your skin in my teeth" could be from her fighting / defensive wound. You can notice she starts to get more aggressive in her vocals around the end of the song.
Ok I feel like when she said ‘ can anybody hear me am I talking to myself’ I think she means like how kids tell people that something is happening and they never listen because it might be a family friend or a family member.. a preacher. Basically someone that is well known and people wouldn’t believe would do it like a man selling ice cream..
Lil note if ya'll didn''t know, but whenever a person has black eyes in a Melanie MV, it means they're "awake." They're an ally who sees whats going to happen, almost acting as an omen to show how humans both hurt and help others. That's why the clerk gave her the poison she uses in the next mv. This theme is found throughout all of her videos, i freaking love it.
I would also like to add that these 2 songs show that (tag your it) is the predator catching his prey and (milk n cookies) being the prey catches the predator. Also after this situation this is the turning point of the character crybaby, because instead of developing trauma from this experience, she becomes desensitized and empowered in how she took down her abuser
And idk if you guys remember the pacify her song but this empowerment and desensitization is what essentially leads her to being a home wrecker which is shown in the pacify her song
Idk if anyone has told but her whole album goes in order. So had reacted to Pity Party right before this u would realize she was throwing away all her party decorations and she's sad and vulnerable which is why she didn't know the wolf was following her and she fell for his trick. Just saying it would make much more sense if u went in order

@@CrownedYeti The black eyes also represent those who truly care about Crybaby, such as the Nurse in the song of the same name, and then the Store Clerk in Tag You’re It. I like that they use this detail again in K-12, where Crybaby’s friends and Ben (the boy who wrote that love letter to her) are those who support her for who she is
The connection between childhood lullabies and her dark songs is really true, we just couldn't realize at young ages, but almost every song from that time was weird
i love the chorus after the bridge where she sings it and it sounds like she’s crying or freaking out, it’s my favorite part. it goes so well with the story.
I think the “I can taste your skin in my teeth” references when like you would do anything to get away from the predator. Even bite them, scratch them, all you can to get away. That’s just what comes to my mind.
I also like at the end of tag your it she sounds more vulnerable and expressive, like this is her last chance to escape or last cry for help. And in milk and cookies it kinda feels like the parts where she’s in the glass dome as just a head kinda seems like an alternate version of if she didn’t escape, and that since the head is the one singing she’s been the one warning crybaby to watch out and stuff.
Need to go in order. You might understand it more also, this double feature is from her 1st album called "Crybaby". @CrownedYeti said about the people with the black eyes meaning being "awake" Thats why if you notice the shop woman gave the poison to her before she got took.
Ring around the roses was dark because it was a plague song i believe its referenced to ashes ashes we all fall down its was burn the bodies idk i think it was plague or war song i know it was dark though
Puberty is a welcoming mat … and can escalate from a simple game of “tag” & excusing the rough actions cuz… “they’re just boys…” so… it gives “permission” for the actions to be a matter of acceptance as we get older. 😔🙏🏻✨💫
I know you already had people tell you these songs aren't from K-12 but keeping on that note, when you listen to the songs on k-12 each track is actually corresponding to the grade levels in order. So it is a good thing to keep in mind when listening and look at what track the song is on the album and then think about that grade
Ring around the rosie, pocket full of posies= about the plague/scarlet fever. Posies were for the dead to hold, hiding the scent of death. Ashes, ashes, we all fall down= burning the dead bodies & belongings. Everyone died.
Melanie is telling the story of Cry Baby's life throughout her albums and videos. Cry Baby is a fairytale version of Melanie herself and she uses the character to tell stories that not only she's experienced but about things she sees in the world that she thinks more people need to be bringing up in music. Cry Baby is about the birth of the character and her early childhood and the struggles that came with it and finding confidence in a world that is against you. K-12 is the next chapter and Cry Baby goes to school. This is where we're at now in the story. Melanie is currently working on her next album and film. She hasn't revealed the title or concept yet but simply said we'll see Cry Baby grow in ways that aren't necessarily human
Hi, new subscriber here! Love ur interpretation! And great channel you guys got! For Melanie's MVs I want to add some things from my perspective. You can see that she's got magic in Pacify Her (levitating that board game), and that's her first time showing her awakening power. And she fully gained the magic after ''a trip to Alice's Wonderland'' (her trip of finally accepting her craziness). One of the signs of magical people is that they have full black eyes, which the salesgirl in Tag, You're It also has. My assumption is that the salesgirl was also abducted and molested by that Wolf. This is why she gave Crybaby (Melanie's role in MVs) a glass of blue poison. And a scene & the lyrics are showing the Wolf was distracted by a phone call, which I think it's from the salesgirl to give crybaby time to add the poison into the cookies. I'm not sure if that's it but I believe it's the call that helped Crybaby changed the table. Love you btw~
Ring Around the Rosie's was a lullaby about the black plague, the "pocketful of posies" because they thought the flowers were keep the sickness at bay or something like that
“Can anybody hear me,am I talking to myself?” I think this means how her cries of help aren’t heard, she can run but nobody will hear her. Her distress isn’t heard. And even after the event, she feel like she can’t step up and discuss what happened because she feels like her cries aren’t welcomed.
Melanie Martinez is a genius artist, all the clips from her Cry Baby album are linked and tell a story, full of social and necessary criticism.make more reactions from her, please 💖💖
Lol wow, that’s crazy. Never seen anyone reacting to Melanie’s songs, which have very clear, very obvious messages, and just make up their own for no reason.
ring around the rosey actually came from during the black plague. ring around the rosey (flowers on graves), pockets full of poseys (people actually stuffed their pockets with flowers, herbs, or anything strong smelling to help with the smell of all the dead bodies around them), ashes ashes (there were so many bodies they started burning them and im pretty sure thats where cremation stems from as well), we all fall down (future people dying).
I’m always surprised when people don’t realize that it’s kindergarten to 12, because I often forget that some people discover her music at different points.
