Sir PlatySaxAncona I feel like because you watched that first I think he believe that was Melanie and then I think he thinks they make her look older but it’s just a different person lol
When I first watched Mrs Potato Head I wasn’t really a fan of melanie, and I thought they were the same (I was like eight) but when I watched it again I realized the difference-
The black eyes have alot of meaning, its all going to make sence in the last song, there is a reason why the woman with black eyes knew to gave her the poison Theres also a special meaning to the wolfs cave beeing made of ice Crybaby is actually singing that she is going to poison him not the opposite Also the person who called him to distract him is going to be reveald in the last song Edit: 100 likes???? Wow wasant expecting thet kk
Madison Gilbert ice means abscence of love, and non humanaty, a way of saiyng that what the wolf is doing is so terrible, cold and cruel that he has no love inside him, he is so evil that his actions make him not human, a monster with no compassion and no feelings, only obssesion and hunger. the one who calls the wolf to ditract him is the black eyed woman, I dont know if your familiar with the theory of why black eyes and how crybaby, the doctor and the woman in the shopm got them, but basically its a way of showing self exceptence and beeing in peace with your actions, they all been throught difficult things and they all ( at least the woman of the shop) have been victims of the bad wolf, thats why she knows that she needs to give crybaby the poison, and the time that the bad wolf asks her to bake the cookies
Wolf is a metaphor, like when you'd say a guy is a "dog", but more violent and predatory. He doesn't want her dead, he just wants *her*. Milk and cookies is her revenge song. "I pull off black so well" - her attending his funeral "Honey, do you want me now" - like the "How do you like me now?" saying, but mixed with like "Do you still want me [sexually] as I murder you?" She wants him dead for the pain that he has caused her
Hey after this crybaby album can you react to the k-12 movie by Melanie Martinez it’s my favorite movie of all time and I also love Melanie she’s my favorite singer
Its also one of my favorite movies but its sadly not the Best, the storyline seemed weird and some songs didnt Fit with what was going on,but for her first movie its amazing 💛
When you’re done reacting to Cry Baby I would recommend listening to the deluxe tracks (Cake, Teddy Bear and Play Date). Play Date recently went viral out of nowhere which is pretty cool. After that I’d recommend reacting to the songs from K-12 which is her newest album which came out last september. All the songs are about Crybaby during her school life and there is even a movie of about 90 minutes that goes with all the songs. Alsoo, please start reacting to the Kurdish/Dutch singer called Naaz, she’s amazing and did the pre act for Melanie’s shows in Europe ^^
I was thinking "your mama said to pick the very best girl and I am" could be highlighting how ridiculous it is that victims are told that the type of attention they got was a compliment.
The parts where it's just her head on a table is a reference to the line "I'll cut you up and make dinner" in tag youre it. Also, can you react to something by little mix?
I think it's a little bit from his perspective of like jersh says having her for dinner on a silver platter, and a little of a traumatic experience like that it's like your head is separate from your body... Because you are trying to run from the situation but can't so you kinda distance yourself.... Either way as someone who was assaulted at 15 this song hits deep for me tbh..... And the amount of times I've poisoned him in my mind is unreal, its why it annoys me when people say she's glorifying rape somehow, when she's just saying its a reality people will take advantage of any vulnerability, but you can take back the power.
@@watsername yeah I think that could be it too, but that's just what I read it was supposed to mean. Also I'm sorry that had to happen to you I hope you're doing okay now 💖
Not sure how interested you are with Melanie as an artist but she recently did an interview with the Grammy museum and talks a little more about her artistry and the approach she takes to making music. Its a pretty interesting insight into her creative process.
10:20 I've always thought that her being in the glass (like the rose on Beauty and the beast) means that the person who took her innocence (metaphoric) just kept her to be their prized possession/trophy girlfriend, but idk if that's it.
First of, i love your reactions and how you start the video of explaining the last video. In Mrs potato head, she isn't an adult, shes maybe a teen wanting to be like all the other girls in the tv with the blond hair and skinny bodys ect, but after watching that on the tv she realises thats not what she wants.I think shes a teen in Mrs potato head as she has diet pills, but is still child like. At the start of this video so is throwing away her birthday party streamers so she must be still 9 in this song. In the line, "Next time you're alone, think twice when you grab the phone" i believe i read that is a reference to the movie Scream, and to one of her songs. There may have been a hint to this song in the music video for Pity Party, which was Cry Baby having milk and cookies while writing birthday invitations.
You can see in the beginning she’s throwing away the decorations from pity party. So she is still 9 in the video. This song is taken place after the party :p
Hey! I’m pretty much sure that the black eyed girl that actually gave her the poison without explaining whatsoever is a metaphor for her craziness. And as we can see it’s thanks to her craziness that she gets away with the wolf man in milk and cookies... That’s what I thought about once I finished watching mad hatter...
Antonio Karam oh ok... I still think that if my theory was right it would’ve been super cool to see that she gets through k-12 in one piece because of her craziness.... but thank you I didn’t know that ^^
in tag youre it she is taken and abused by an abductor, and in milk in cookies he makes her make cookies, that she poisons, and finally feels impowered when she kills him
in milk and cookies, its's basically cry baby (melanie) making cookies for the wolf, because she has to. she then realises about the poison and plans on poisoning him so she can escape. which is why she probably says 'im fucking crazy' (the song is a follow-up from tag, you're it, hence why they're in a double feature)
In “Tag, You’re It” when it says “Eenie meanie miney mo, you’re mother said to pick the very best girl and I am.” It’s talking about how he took what his mom said literally.
In mrs potato head, its crybaby watching the TV, metaphor for watching her parents. The married couple is her parents, her mom started off happy and in love, then dad is making her feel like shit and starts cheating, and mom starts drinking, and then she had crybaby and her brother. For children, their first influence of beauty and love are their parents, so at a super young age, crybaby was learning to doubt herself... so there is no huge timejump as you thought
In milk and cookies there are two nursery rhymes represented in it, the counting like: "one two melatonin is coming for you" is based of the nursery rhyme, I forgot what its called, but it goes "one two buckle my shoe" and than the next one is "ashes ashes time to go down" Is like "ashes ashes we all fall down" I have no idea what those nursery rhymes are called
Love "Tag, You're It"! Towards the end her voice gets more and more raspy, You can actually hear the rage. Btw, when you said "dating is hard, hun?" I CRACKED hahah Man, It is hard indeed. Also asking You pretty please: consider reacting to "Pienso em tu Mirá" by Rosalía. The video, man. The artistry. You really have to check her out at least once. Trust me See you next time, Jersh! Thank you
Jersh being sad that Cry Baby reactions are coming to an end and me sitting here like ".....oh I can't wait till he realizes there's a whole ass K-12 to go through"
The entire Crybaby thing is of her being very young. K-12 is when she goes to school. So during Mrs. Potato Head she isn't older, thats just the character in the TV.
“Swore I saw you grab the phone” means that she saw the wolf take a phone call and she did some stuff while he wasn’t looking (: and the woman that was at the grocery store look like her friend in her film 😁😅
I am going to watch every single one of your melanie martinez reactions. As soon as its uploaded, I'll be there. Once I get that notification that you've reacted to one of her songs, I'll be there. When you pause the song to dig into her lyrics, I'll be there. When you make a weirded out face cause she just did or said something disturbing, I'll be there. There I will be.
Nah she isn't making poisonous stuff for him, she's just supposed to make normal cookies for him to eat. But when he was on the phone she snuck poison into it.
Pure love is all consuming...but some people get fucked up and obsess over this idea through a materialistic lens’s...which is expressed in acts like consuming literal blood like it will make you like your victim. Like in fairy tails the evil queens would bathe in the blood of enemies like dark magic type stuff also like all kinds of other wired stuff but to me this is why some killers will ingest literally thier victims. It’s a fascination with certain errors in thought like repressed ways that they could never get through or release they end up having fixations instead
Yes!! These are two of my favorite videos, happy that you thought they were fun. Really excited for “pacify her” it’s my absolute favorite and I really hope you like it jersh :)
"i pull out black so well" is like when you go to a funeral you wear black, and the song is about her killing the man (or the wolf lol) so she's basically saying she will enjoy going to his funeral??? like look good wearing black, idk i mean that's how i interpreted it
I was waiting for him to get that the second song was all about her preparing to kill him. Which was the whole line about how he shouldn’t look away - because that’s when she was going to poison the cookies with what she found.
That cashier lady returns in her k-12 film as a recurring character if u ever react to that. each song is a reference to each year of school from kindergarten they senior year and it puts together a lot more plot as a film
Well, wait till you get to the second album which is all a full movie, it's not that you can't find separate videos i can't remember if they're all out but the album came out as a movie if I recall correctly
Okay so in the crybaby album when someone else is talking or it's someone other then Crybaby's point of view the sound is distorted. Thats why in Tag your it the wolf's pov is way deeper than Melanie's actual voice. So Milk and Cookies is from Crybaby's perspective, meaning the Wolf is not trying to poison her, he's trying to use her and just have her as his own I guess, Crybaby is the one who wants to kill him because she's angry (rightfully so) and wants revenge (again, rightfully so). Also, like many have mentioned in Potato head the story we see isn't Crybaby's. In the beginning, she sees all these ads about how to look perfect and she's incredibly insecure so she buys all of it. Then she sees this story of someone who did all of the things she was trying to do to earn love but it ended horribly- which allows Crybaby to see that it's not worth it and it's okay to love yourself for who you are. Crybaby's entire journey is as a child. (Another thing, these two songs happen immediately after pity party so there's no time jump, you can see her throwing away the party decorations at the very beginning. At most it's been a couple days in between) Edit: One more thing lol. A way I'd say to help decipher what's a metaphor and what's actually happening is if it's straight forward or not. Like in training wheels, there's a bit of interpretive dancing and even the lyrics aren't matching what's actually happening (the lyrics are about getting more intimate in a relationship and what's shown is Crybaby teaching Johnny how to ride a bike without training wheels). In tag your it and milk and cookies the lyrics are telling a story (lyrics: making cookies. What's shown: Crybaby making cookies. Lyrics: think twice before answering the phone. What's shown: The wolf picking up the phone while Crybaby pours poison in the cookies. What you're hearing is what you're seeing). Pretty much all of this is applicable to her songs expect for Mad Hatter, I can't say why cause spoilers but that one isn't either metaphor or reality.
After you end the album and before you watch the k-12 movie you should watch the deluxe songs from crybaby: play date, teddy bear, cake and ginger bread man. They have no direct conection with the album but they can be interpreted as realationships that happend with crybaby. They dont have video clips.
I love all the twisted nursery rhymes and little kid games like tag and ring around the roses and Iny Meany my knee mow because it adds to the twisted little kid vibe that has been in all these songs.
tag youre it takes place right after pity party, you can tell it showing the mailbox where she sent out the invitations and her throwing away the party decorations at the beginning of the video.
When she says ‘next time you’re alone, think twice before you grab the phone’ because that’s when he took his eyes off her to answer the phone and she slipped the poison in the cookies. He missed it because he was distracted.
Loving this reaction!! Can you react to the Blue Neighborhood Trilogy by Troye Divan? It has a story like Melanie's videos, and the music is really good!
I always took the "Milk & Cookies" video a this dude abducting her and trying to force her to give her innocence to him, you know. I never thought of her singing in the table as him looking at her as if she was served in a silver plate for him! That's really interesting! I think you only have Mad Hatter left now. You can do the deluxe tracks. These dont fit in the narrative but can be taken as glimpses on Cry Baby's life.
Anyone else curious how he’s gonna react to k-12? (If he does at all), like is he only going to listen to the songs and skip the in between bits? Or have an hour long reaction video, maybe chop it up into parts?
I believe Pacify Her is next! Also after you've seen all the songs for CryBaby, please react to K-12! She also has a movie for it. It's all based on CryBaby's journey through school!
she isn’t the one on mrs potato head, she was watching Tv.

But she Is 9 years old in pity party (9 candles) and the Plush friends she has in mad hatter represent her K-12 friends

The black eyes symbolize how crybaby lived in many bodies before and that she has powers. The balck eyes are expalained in the k-12 movie by melanie

In mrs.potatohead the couple was a show she was watching on the tv
Dude creep stuck with me for a long time. What a great concept for a film.
The song was after pity party since she has all the decorations from pity party she's throwing them away
I think the head in the case is a beauty and the beast reference. Like the rose that he keeps in the glass.
In “Tag, You’re It” when it says “Eenie meanie miney mo, you’re mother said to pick the very best girl and I am.” It’s talking about how he took what his mom said literally.
In mrs potato head, its crybaby watching the TV, metaphor for watching her parents. Edit: One more thing lol.
Thank you!! I just waited for that. Keep watching malenie’s songs. And she have a new album... so you can check it out
After you end the album and before you watch the k-12 movie you should watch the deluxe songs from crybaby: play date, teddy bear, cake and ginger bread man. They have no direct conection with the album but they can be interpreted as realationships that happend with crybaby. They dont have video clips.
This is probably my favorite video from her
Dude you are so entertaining and you make great videos but some of these interpretations are very easy and you just WHOOSH
Its Syyyd since the point is to find my own meaning in the song I’m never wrong, thx for watching :)
The Big Bad Wolf is a code for predator. Just a fun fact.
Also in Mrs. Potato Head Crybaby is NOT an adult
~Next is Pacify her👶👱♀️~
Gosh I'm so excited for Mad Hatter
I love all the twisted nursery rhymes and little kid games like tag and ring around the roses and Iny Meany my knee mow because it adds to the twisted little kid vibe that has been in all these songs.
"Pull off black so well"
It's the color you wear to funerals.
tag youre it takes place right after pity party, you can tell it showing the mailbox where she sent out the invitations and her throwing away the party decorations at the beginning of the video.
when you finish crybaby, will you do a reaction to k-12, the album+film?
"Tag, you're it" is hard to listen to for me.
For the darkest reason I still get nervous just hearing it because it reminds me of that day.
When she says ‘next time you’re alone, think twice before you grab the phone’ because that’s when he took his eyes off her to answer the phone and she slipped the poison in the cookies. He missed it because he was distracted.
Did you see at the start she throw away party things so i think she finished her bday
Is there anyone who’s going to tell him that her second album have a full movie??
Pacify her is next. Also I can't wait to see him react to k-12 it's coming up so soon, can he please react to the whole movie
Loving this reaction!! Can you react to the Blue Neighborhood Trilogy by Troye Divan? It has a story like Melanie's videos, and the music is really good!
These are the songs that actually happened to Melanie Martinez crybaby, pitty party, doll house, teddy bear, cake and gingerbread.
I think if he would of read the note on the fridge he would understood
Sorry my spelling is super bad
Anyone else curious how he’s gonna react to k-12? (If he does at all), like is he only going to listen to the songs and skip the in between bits? Or have an hour long reaction video, maybe chop it up into parts?
Yep that what i want😇
Well I'm pretty sure she released every song's music video so he'll probably end up looking up the first song and go from there
Yeah it’s that seems the most likely, but really hope he doesn’t do that ;0; then he’ll miss the stuff in between the songs
When you react to K-12, I expect your reaction to the entire album/movie at once. (I beg you, please.)
I mean it'd be hard due to copyright strikes
@@coopersteven9105 A girl can hope. :(
I believe Pacify Her is next! Also after you've seen all the songs for CryBaby, please react to K-12! She also has a movie for it. It's all based on CryBaby's journey through school!
The cashier is really impossible for k-12 and Mad Hatter
Idk why but getting the notification that you uploaded gets me excited lol 😂
I was so hyped for this!
Melanie has a move with another playlist you can watch
YESSSS IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ONE
She gets older during k-12
