Hi saint, thanks a lot for all the awesome videos, my kontakt quickload has about 500 gb of sounds. each time i open kontakt it takes about 15 mins for all the quickload libraries to show up, is there any way to work around this, thanks !
main thing when doing that is make sure you go into the plugin preferences and point it to the proper library location. With kontakt you can just use the "add library" tab to point to where you have it installed, and with Omnisphere it will ask you to point to the steam folder when you open the plugin.
Please help me because I cannot figure it out.....when I put at quick load the library it says.....'this patch is encrypted and cannot be loaded unless the respective library is registered properly'
sounds like the library requires a serial number to be activated in service center, either that or your virus software is getting in the way somehow, which I've seen before as well.
Thank you so much. I had no idea there were differences between the two types of libraries. I was about to give up! This clears up so much, thank you again!

Hey Joe, I get this message "no library found" for my MK Sensation and Sampletek Black Libraries. They use to appear on the left side of the player, but I tried to organize and I moved the files. However, I copied them back to the original location and I still get the message. How can I fix? Thanks for any help!
With Rig you just add it on the side with the add library button, make sure you're pointing to the right directory with all the instrument/sample files in it, it should show up.
is there a way to quickly preview what an instruments sounds like (perhaps in a limited range, like 1 octave), instead of loading it all into RAM, when looking for specific sounds?
I bought Cosmo D's cello sounds and your method was sufficient to hear a cello, but it is in a demo mode. How do I avoid this? I've bought Kontakt (for Session Strings) as well as these cello samples (.nki files). Does Kontakt require the sample makers to pay a license fee to make a library to avoid demo purgatory, or should I look for another means to use these voices (I use Garageband - Kontakt is, for me, an ugly necessity for their Sample Strings library).
Sounds like you have a library that isn't a Kontakt player library, which means it isn't licensed to run in the free player and requires the full version of Kontakt. That's why it's running in demo mode. So you only have the player and that library requires the full version. Session Strings doesn't come with a full version, as it's a player library as are all of the NI libraries for Kontakt. But third party companies must pay a fee to get the encoding, licensing, and player compatibility.
If I add libraries to the quick load like this, when i try to load it from the quick load area it still gives me an error "Your new Library needs to be added before this instrument can be used. Please go to Kontakt's Libraries tab and press the Add Library button.". Any ideas?

Thanks dude, it made my life much easier since I was actually looking for how to convert K4 libraries to K5 so that I can add them as an item on the left column, but well it is also a nice solution :)
Any library can be added to the quick load section, make sure you're dragging over the instruments and not the samples, and make sure you're on the right tab in the browser
I'm not finding that all of them will do this. It says "your new library needs to be added before this instrument ...." Of course, I can't add it; I get the "file not found" error. Catch 22...
@@SoundsAndGear Everything is legit. It took me two days to solve the problem. It's THIS: I moved instruments off of the internal "C" drive onto an external Samsung T5 SSD (C drive was full) For whatever reason, the "NICNT" files did not transfer along with everything else. These files are a MUST. Even Evil Dragon (NI Moderator) is wrong - one cannot substitute an empty text file with the "NICNT suffix - it doesn't work. SOLUTION: The ONLY thing that works is using the actual NICNT file (e.g., name of instrument.NICNT) file. Once I uninstalled / reinstalled with the pesky NICNT file where it should be), everything worked (said instrument(s) were added back to the libraries, as with before the move).
I bought some Big Fish libraries that are supposed to be Kontakt libraries... but I'm getting the 'No Library found' when I try and add in. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. I bought the Acoustic Pop and a few others. Shouldn't those be able to be in the Libraries tab with the picture and all?
Sam Knaak They may not be kontakt player libraries, just in kontakt format, there's a difference. So check the product page to see if it requires the full version or if it works with the player. If you didn't get a serial number for it, it's probably not a player library and can't be added to the library tab.
go to the top files menu, click batch resave, and point to the folder with your nki files so it will resolve everything, you will have to point to the folder once for it to locate the samples but it will work after that

What about when you follow your directions, and then it says "License Required"? That message doesn't show up when I use other sound banks. But some third party sounds, says it needs a license. Whats the navigation around that? Thanks in advance!
I have registered my NI bundle. But on the internet, there are third party developers with stuff, and either you install like how you explained in the viddy, which in fact is aimed for ALL hacked free NON registered users. But there are 2 variables in this loading. 1st is what you shown us answer to. 2nd is: Can't load un-registered sound bank.... Not even when using your method in the viddy. My point, any help would be most appreciated. This 2nd message I get, only came up a few times since I bought NI Komplete 10....... Thanks.
THE ANARKY This way of loading libraries has NOTHING to do with the program or library being hacked. Not all third party companies pay the license fee to be "powered by kontakt" so they are in kontakt format but will not show up as a library in the main browser. However, if a library is saying it needs to be registered then it is probably a kontakt player or "powered by kontakt" library that needs to be registered properly. It should come with a separate serial number of it's own.
this is not for "kontakt player libraries" this is for libraries that don't work on the side. If you want to add on the side just click the button that says "add library" in the browser and browse to the library folder to add it.

+Kidraver Thanks for watching man! Yeah Kontakt has been around for a while for sure!
This was a big help. Really appreciate it. Subscribed.
Glad to help
depends on the library, usually you can just install it from the add library button once you download the content
if they are just waves then they aren't actually kontakt libraries so you would just open them from the left side file menu, not the library menu, but you'd just browse to them on your hard drive
Awesome video!! I'm gonna have a lot of fun with this. Thank you.
+K W Glad to help!
Great overview of the QuickLoad tab - I've been looking for a way to organize the 30+ libraries I've got by instrument:) Thanks!
+Rob Gokee Glad to help!
not that I know of, nothing built in to do it, you could probably grab some settings files from the registry or something but nothing straight forward for it
make sure the channel is record enabled so that it will pass the sound, also check the mixer to make sure there isn't any settings wrong
Can you export the quick libraries settings?
Ok, I found the answer. The data are saved here:
C:\Documents and Settings\\Local Settings\Application Data\Native Instruments\Kontakt 5\QuickLoad
Any change is written immidiately.
Cool, thanks for the comment.
Thanks for the info man I had some trouble with some of my choir nkrs and this trick worked thanks
Glad to help!
Hi there, Is there a way to know from the first moment (before download) what libraries are made to work with kontakt?
Most companies will tell you what their libraries work with.
Can i back up my well organized quick load structure? Like for whenever I reinstall windows??
Can Miroslav Philharmonik be added to Kontakt this way? If yes how?
No that only works in Sample Tank
Oh. Thanks man, for that prompt reply! More power to you!
Checked your website out. Have you got any FL Studio tuts there ? Was not able to find one. Bookmarked it anyway.
I'm relatively new to VSTs as well as DAW's computer interfaces so that was real helpul. I immediately started a Sample Tank download after your reply. I've yet to install it though.
Glad to help!
I would check your audio settings, kontakt shouldn't be triggering anything other than what you have loaded into it
What about when you follow your directions, and then it says "License Required"?
That message doesn't show up when I use other sound banks. But some third party sounds, says it needs a license. Whats the navigation around that?
Thanks in advance!
It needs to be registered first.
Makes sense.... Thanks :)
and yes, my player is registered. Just not this new sound bank I got, so it seems.
THE ANARKY Cool, should have come with a serial, probably in your email or account where you purchased.
After adding the library I get this error '' your new library needs to be added before this instrument can be used''
Can you please help me?
It needs to be authorized through the library tab with a serial number.
this is not for "kontakt player libraries" this is for libraries that don't work on the side. If you want to add on the side just click the button that says "add library" in the browser and browse to the library folder to add it.
