It took me several tries to get this to work because my folder tree was overly complex and I kept pointing into the wrong folder.

Hello, I have 2 banks installed with this version, but when I click on Overview, nothing opens, has anyone encountered such a problem?
This works but I have two issues. 1) This doesn't work for libraries with Special characters. You have to rename the sample library rescan for it and remove the old one for it to work. Not a huge issue but a little annoying. and 2) the main one, All of my thumbnails upload blurry and there's seemingly nothing i can do about it.
Very clear and helpful thanks. I have a slightly different issue though. In Kontakt Player I have all the images in the library view but in the Side Pane, several of those same libraries only have a dull grey background with the name over it. The NI Resources image folder all have the same image file names as the libraries that do display proper images in the Side Pane but for some reason they don't show them. They are all Soniccouture libraries. Both NI and SC have stated that this is as it should be but I would like to get the Side Pane images to display the colour images that are in the image folder, if that's possible. Any idea how to do that? I'm on a Mac btw. Thanks.

How come I open Kontakt 7 and dont have any of those icons above next to Kontakt name?
Not sure....do you have the full version? It may be a Kontakt Player thing...

Yep, just add another link per library in the import section..... i presume you could add a ton of them in one go.
@@JamesSpillingMusic yea I tried that and it was only getting the first one I clicked. So I ended up just stopping cause I wasn't going to add all the stuff it missed on scan one by one hahaha. Maybe they fixed it. I mean I hate the browser anyway so that is part of it. hahaha
Are there any options to add the library to side pane?
It's all to do with nicnt files and then some.... will at some point want to explore this myself. When i do, i will let you know.... for i will be rejoicing!
@@JamesSpillingMusic found a solution,
if you take the xml data from the .nicnt file and create an .xml file with the library name and place it in (Mac OS) /Library/Application Support/Native Instruments/Service Center
then the library is displayed in the side pane.
Maybe this will help someone)

Sorry. I don't understand. Do you mean libraries that require full version of Kontakt? Also what's the troll window?
@@JamesSpillingMusic Oh, I'm sorry for my sloppy typing. There is this window in every Kontakt Version where the libraries are ordered in a vertical scrolling column list view with horizontal pictures. Some libraries though you can just access through "files" and go to the location where they are stored. I look for a possibility to add a library to that vertical scrolling window with pictures :-)
Ok. So for 3rd party Kontakt libraries you need to create a nicnt file. I haven't got round to doing it yet but will let you know when i do!!
@@JamesSpillingMusic Yes, there are tools to do that, but they still don't make them show up in that main menu window. what a shame. But thank you, if you come across some news, they are highly appreciated!
