@ukesong this video shows how to add the folder artwork, but what if the picture doesn't show in the side pane? How do you add that picture?
Thank Youuuu
Glad it helped :)
how do I add tags to the extenal libaries?
regarding the "incompatible files" issue:
this always happens with instruments created with an old Kontakt version (< Kontakt 5).
The bottom line is: you need to resave every instrument with Kontakt 5 or newer for the import to work.
I've had this issue with an old organ library (Notre Dame de Budapest), which had been created with Kontakt 2 or 3.
I first tried to use the "Batch resave" function in Kontakt file menu. This only resaved the bank files i created, but not the original instrument (nki) files.
Probably batch resave only resaves, when there are in fact wrong sample path names, which is not the case in this library, as all nki are "monolithic" (every nki contains the samples it needs).
The "collect samples" function may work, as it always creates copies of all nki files. In my situation, it crashed after converting about 10 or 12 nki files.
So in fact i needed to load and save every single nki of that library.
After that the import works flawlessly.
Thanks for sharing this workaround and your experience!
Thank you! Just to clarify, when saving the image, the file cannot say .png in the name when adding it to the images. I am not sure if I misunderstood the directions, but had the .png on the image name and could not get it to work until I dropped the .png so that it read MST_artwork
That's right. .png is the type of the graphical file (the file extension) . You should not include it in the name. Watch again this part 03:40. It shows how exactly the file name should be.
Glad to learn that this video helped you :)
@@ukesong i thought so. For some reason my computer (windows) saves as a file type, but doesn't normally have a .(whatever) added to it so I was confused at 3:55. figured I would comment either way just in case someone else was losing their marbles like me haha. Excellent video, slow paced, highlighted and explained. thank you very much!
@@Wunderpuuuus You most likely have your file extensions hidden in file explorer (e.g. MST_artwork.png shows up as MST_artwork).
Thanks, it works but... the library doesnt appear in the classic view of Kontakt7... any idea how to resolve?
Hi, 3-rd party libraries will not appear in classic view. This is normal behaviour. They appear only in browser. There is a reason behind this.
@@ukesong But they appeared on Kontakt 6
No, it will not appear in classic view. As far as I know, this is related to some missing licensing agreements between 3-rd party developers and NI. In Classic you can see only libraries that have been installed with NI Access.

I tried to install zero g library ASL and I got the same message with the non compatible files crap. Anyone tried to install a zerog g library succesfully? Tks
I did successfully install two Zero G libraries, Ethera Gold 2.5 and Ethera Soundscapes. No issues at all. What is ASL ?
need on for ethno world 6
I did everything it shows in your video but the image still does not show up even after restart
Double-check the name of the folder you created that contains the image file of your library. It must be exactly the same as the name of your sound library. If there are any dots in the name, remove them. Then, copy the name of your library and rename the folder containing the image file to match it exactly. Make sure there are no spaces before or after the name.
If you need to edit the name of the library that you have already imported, follow these steps:
Open the Kontakt 7 browser.
Click on the gear icon (Import content).
Select the library that does not show the image.
Remove the library.
Import the library again with the edited name.
It should now appear with the new edited name. Let me know the result.
I was able to add the library as instructed. However it does not play any sound :(
Do you mean it does not play any sound from Presets Preview window which is located on the right site of Kontakt 7 browser?
@@ukesong No, once I opened the preset then I realized it was in DEMO so I assume is because of that. However, I tried with another effect and worked!!!!
@@daleplay1978 Glad to hear it worked for you :) Good luck!
@@daleplay1978 what did you do to make it work? it says demo on mine and no sound as well ?
Video starts at 1:26
i tried installing infinitones 3rd party vst and it goes into demo mode
Hi, did you manage to install successfully any other 3-rd party library?
@@ukesong I have other kontakt instruments that were installed using
Native access but for infinitones I’m completely lost I follow the instruction video on installing it too because it is 3rd party
@@jdproductions3646 I meant did you manage to install any 3-rd party library via Kontakt's 7 browser, the way I demonstrated in this video, not via Native access?
@@ukesong yes
@@jdproductions3646 Well, if you can install via Kontakt 7 browser a 3-rd party instrument but you have a problem installing Infinitones, try to contact the developer of Infinitones and let them know about your issue. They will be glad to help. I have issues installing some 8dio libraries, but they are not related to Demo mode.
