B-Lat, seriously, this type of video with the real basic instruction, and you taking the time to go over the basics of rigging, etc..especially on finesse stuff, is priceless for us learning the basics. So appreciative of this. Thank you!
B.Lat, Thanks for taking the time to show us Ned rig fishing, and zooming the camera in on the hooks, baits etc. That is such a big help to us viewers. Not everyone does that.
Great vid Brian. Another thing I’ve learned from experience with the shroom Ned head is - If using a 1/10 oz head and getting hung in the rocks some, switch to a 1/15th oz head. Move that puppy really slow, and you do not get hung up as much (in my opinion). God bless!
Thanks for the info Blat and good luck on the rest of the season. Hope you’re as amused as I am at the folks trying to argue with you about how and when to use the Ned rig. I’ll listen to them when they bust out the trophies and checks from tourneys.
I caught a 9 and an 8 in back to back tourneys with the Ned rig ZMan big TRD. I use a low profile shroom head that works best and doesn’t get hung up. This is my new go to after using a shakey for years. Thanks for all your tips buddy!!!
Love the NED! “Hot Snakes” TicklerZ on a red 1/8 has been the juice for me! When the bit is tough I know I can throw that or a “Coppertruce” Hula StickZ and get bit! Great video as always brother!
Up here in Michigan our lakes are 99% grass. I just can’t seem to find a good way to use a ned rig. What would you throw? Even the shaky head method seems to pull grass.
I got slayed by my dad yesterday with this set-up 11-0 I Will be using it next time I had fun my pops I been fishing together over 30yrs I'm getting old lol
I think I could teach you a few things about a ned. I use 12lb floro on baitcaster. Always throw in the thickest nastiest stuff but use the weedless hooks. Already caught a ton of 4lb+ bass on pressured water in last 2 months. Biggest 8.4
I just started using the Ned rig, I know late to the party. Been tearing them up in north Ga. if it wasn’t for you B-Lat i probably wouldn’t have used it. Z man makes awesome stuff and it’s some of the strongest soft plastics hands down.
What line do YOU use when fishing the ned rig? Brand, #, ect...?. I just noticed you had yellow line on your reel so didn't know if you did straight flouro or had a leader?
Love the Ned rig! it is one of my go too baits! keep one tide on all year round! I fish it with 8 pound test on a medium action rod and I hammer the bass with it.
Would you show the lure to the camera after you catch a bass? I’m sure I’m not the only one that was straining to see what you were using and how it was set up
Brian, I yo Daddy, been bass fishing when we were the only ones doing it, but dagnabbedit if me old head ain't spinning' with all this new stuff. I study... Open water for ned rig, eh? I remember you saying that way back.
Dear Mr. Lat. if you read this, my friend and I fish a lake in ga. that has on average in My opinion larger and healthier fish than Keowee or Hartwell. We fish the Ned rig A lot some days I use 8 lb test on a med action rod & 1/10 jig head. No jive we land 4,5 & 6 lb fish on the ole Ned & it holds up. It is a great little lake full of big spots & Large mouth maybe I could take you one day. No brag just a fact! ( Psalms 23)
Lol, I totally LAUGHED at the Yoga Pants video (Yoga Pants 300 times in one vid) but I was totally schooled today.... threw everything but the kitchen sink while bank fishing... barely any bites. I had just hit a sale up North on Z-Man two nights ago... saw Yoga Pants, thought of you and had to buy some... so I Texposed a YP on a Z-finess head... landed 3 and 4# LM Bass the rest of the day. Larger wire hookset problems? After I swear at you, you should never have a problem going larger wire. Ready? SHARPEN the FREAKIN HOOKS! Class dismissed.
Had a TRD finesse on the 1/10 ZMAN shroom, got gobbled up instantly by a nasty giant flat head catfish, that indeed bent the hook and lost the fish while bending down to net em.
@@BrianLatimerFishing that was great. Bray and I have been catching a good many around Portman and down the first creek on the left towards 85 bridge after you go under double bridges. Thanks for all the information man. Maybe we will run into you one day out there!

B Lat is one of the most down to earth and relatable teachers in bass fishing. Best NED Rig video I've ever seen.

The Ned rig had me hooked from day one!!!! Love that bait...and you are correct, 8lb test is absolutely the best....GREAT video!!!
The intro was long but I can tell you were genuinely trying to help everyone out, awesome video!
EXTREMELY informative and very well presented with a high degree of entertainment value....thank you B-LAT!!
Rock on BLat! Appreciate everything you do for the community.
Thanks for watching bro
Love the weedless ones. I do a ton of bank fishing and it helps a Lot!
The 1/10 oz does great as a swimbait!
Thanks for the info Blat and good luck on the rest of the season. Hope you’re as amused as I am at the folks trying to argue with you about how and when to use the Ned rig. I’ll listen to them when they bust out the trophies and checks from tourneys.
😂😂😂. It’s all good. It can be amusing though
Wow the guy fishing in front of Gene brings back those Ryan Lamb memories. I really miss that guy.

More good stuff! Thanks B-Lat!
I'm new to the sport and hearing you talk about types of line with a Ned rig was very helpful. 👍
Favorite pro bass fisherman and RUclipsr!!! Keep up the great vids
I caught a 8.6 and a 6.5 with the old Ned Rid at Lake Chickamauga this past Saturday. What a fight it was! Thanks for the tips.
Love the NED! “Hot Snakes” TicklerZ on a red 1/8 has been the juice for me! When the bit is tough I know I can throw that or a “Coppertruce” Hula StickZ and get bit! Great video as always brother!

I always watch you for good finesse fishing tips. Thanks.
for numbers of walleyes would you suggest cranks or ned rig , thanks
I been down sizing my hook and Carolina rigging the TRD and whacking the post spawn schools out deep on secondary points.
+1 on using the TRD on a C-rig. It catches year round.

By God Bobby Barley has got'r down! Where's your videos at?
These finesse TRD's are crushin smallmouth up where I'm at. Green pumpkin is workin for me big time.
Hey B Lat, I find that the finesse techniques and your hookset style is almost identical to me. And both of them work 🤣
I just started using the Ned rig, I know late to the party. Been tearing them up in north Ga. if it wasn’t for you B-Lat i probably wouldn’t have used it. Z man makes awesome stuff and it’s some of the strongest soft plastics hands down.
You do a great job. Fantastic casting. Why Flouro over mono for the Ned Rig?
Im new to the ned rig but already bought my z man stuff thanks to you keep up the good work
Check out the Ned EWG from Lifted Jigs. It’s made to be weedless and still a great finesse bait.
@B Lat and anyone else. Has anyone tried using the weedless power finesse shrooms head?
Honestly I don't pay attention 😂😂
First hook I see , I slap it on my lure .
What line do YOU use when fishing the ned rig? Brand, #, ect...?. I just noticed you had yellow line on your reel so didn't know if you did straight flouro or had a leader?
Solid info and content from a solid dude.
B Lat the ned rig is just awesome, there’s nothing stronger than z man plastics wow, I’m a z man user for life
What type of reel are you using?
I've started using the ned rigs and trd because of you. I'm loving it so far!
And I just got my 1st bag of hula sticks yesterday.
They are my favorite

8lb floro? or mono?
That doesn’t matter in my opinion
You said you were using a medium heavy. I think you were actually using a medium light rod.
Medium heavy
My bad I'm wondering why you are using such a heavy rod
I have got a gar on a Ned rig
