      I disagree. Hard work helps you master your skills, become a top contributor, and get noticed.

      Both are correct. You can work hard and have no where to go and no area to learn. That is a dead end. If you can, learn and move. If you can't move on...

      Your company owns your hard work. It benefits you if you own the company but not if you are just an employee selling time for money.

    Time is certainly more valuable than money.. i used to doubt that but ever since I visited my friend in the hospital fighting for his life everyday is really terrible to see. we all would give some more money to buy some time to live in this world, it's just a matter of time to realise this. So live your life to the fullest everyday we are getting closer to our death anyway. You are just beautiful the way you are ❤

    I always followed this rule, but never really put words on it. I approached this more as saving my brain bandwidth and time for highly demanding and intellectual problems, rather than spend this time on things that won’t improve me as an engineer.

    "shop with your time" as they say. When you want to buy something, calculate how many hours of work it takes you to earn that money to find out if it's worth it.

    Going to starbucks on free coffee day to find there is a line wrapped around the building, all to save 4-5 bucks on a cup of coffee, what a waste of time. I will just pay for the coffee, thank you

    This is so true. In finance, there is a term called time-value of money. It's a measure to decide whether should or should not do the hard work. The only caveat is it is hard to measure accurately leading to wrong decision.

    A guest speaker at a leadership course years ago advised us to learn everything we could from every job we ever had and then to take that knowledge into the next job & repeat the process. I would add what Dr. Grace said about 10 years potentially being 1 year of experience 10X & to max out the learning during those years. I suggest considering a move once you have maxed out your learning and, in some cases, vested for retirement! Follow our guest speaker’s advice and also Dr. Grace’s.

    I love your content Dr. Grace! However, I would like to share the following knowledge with you and the community about the information of this video: if you live your whole life with a sense of urgency (which is also part of an unconscious programming) you will continue to live as a slave; the only difference will be that you changed of master -time instead of money-. Saludos desde México.

    In my experience, the phrase "time is money" means the opposite of what you're saying. When people say that, they mean that time IS VERY valuable. The people who wait in line for 2 hours to save a few cents don't live by that phrase. That being said, I agree with video. Good stuff! Thanks!

    Time is valuable, that even experienced individuals at one time were inexperienced, and even experience individuals can become inexperienced overnight due to the constant technological enhancements that even experience individuals can’t seem to keep up or refuse to adopt to the new enhanced guidelines. How can one cope with that when one is experience at something, Dr. Grace? 🥰✨💎

  • @JohnVariously
    @JohnVariously Месяц назад

    Interesting … but your argument breaks down in many cases.there are many instances where money is more valuable than time. Time is something that cannot be grown, money can grow exponentially.Lots to consider.

    You can call it “working hard” or “creating value” or whatever semantical substitute you want, but nonetheless yo ass WILL have no other choice but to put forth MORE of an effort towards whatever than another person vying for the same thing because nothing comes easy, and there is no escaping that.
    If you think you are going to get out of “working hard,” then keep complaining because it’s your only option.
