This was my first introduction as a kid to Ultra Magnus. Loved him ever since. Has such a cool design and the fact he’s brother with Optimus.

The name "nemesis prime" hadn't been coined yet, and it's likely they were simply securing a trademark with the name scourge. Funnily enough when armada had the first nemesis prime, they called him "scourge" in japan.
