Bro I remember being so hyped as a kid seeing optimus and jet fire combining for the first time.
I m know right! Remember the episode where megatron slices then in half and we thought optimus died but since it was a fusion, they just split.

I always thought it was cool how after a combine, Optimus’s hands shook and twitched like he was adjusting to the newfound power coursing through him

i did have the jetfire and optimus i think this is from the armada line, i had the red transformer that combined with jetfire and optimus too
Wouldn't it be crazy if you could combine with your friends? Like "Hey, Jerry, come here" and your buddy just splits in a half and you just wear him like a suit, making poses and shouting your name followed by "Super mode!" Imagine been able to do that.

Transformers Armada was truly my Introduction to Transformers! Too bad we only saw the link up once in the Movie which I loved. RIP Jet Fire.
Did anyone notice, Energon Prime Super Mode drones are formed by 4 Main Elements Of Earth:
Fire Truck is Fire
Helicopter is Wind
Drill Tank is Earth
Submarine is Water

The prime + wing Saber link up was always epic, but funny little note for those who don't know, the energon toys were basically built around it. Both of them SUCKED as toys on their own but were amazing action figures when combined in either configuration, so much so that many people sought out 2 wing sabers so they could use his legs or arms as both legs and arms for Optimus at the same time
Never got anny energon toys. I liked armada desings better. Energon Optimus was too small compared to almoste all uther versions. His armada version was smaller but his size was practicley doubled in super mode. Wingsaber gave Optimus some much needed upgrades especially in the battle mode.
same thing with omega supreme. Super boring by itself and the power link wasn't even fun to do because it was just truck optimus with his head out lol

Its great when each piece has to be verbally invited to join up, one at a time. You would think they would know when to link, and pretty much do it all at once.
Eh, for Energon they could be configured in I think 16 different ways, makes sense he actually has to call them in order

Man, this takes me back. It's weird to hear Gary Chalk as Prime instead of Primal, but man did I love me some Armada and Cybertron back in the day.
I always think that cullens prime and chalks prime are two separate optimus. primes. To me, Chalk's prime is optimus primal but with a vehicle mode.
Funny considering that Transtech (The scrapped follow-up to Beast Machines) was going to bring Optimus Prime back.
And the bad guys just waited around for them to finish transforming, as usual.
Well that is the law. You dont attack during a transformation. Goku and Vegeta would be mad if you did.

Actually this was all in slow motion. The power link process actually happened in less than a second.
We see them disengage in a few seconds, so it makes sense that Powerlinking would be just as fast and the apparent length is just for the audience.

Transformation really is a free action in these series.

Optimus Prime Super Mode was really giving me a Power Rangers Turbo vibe
You have to admit that certain transformers figures have a lot in common with super sentai robots, besides sentai robots transformed pretty much before transformers and gobots ever existed.
The only main difference as far as the robots goes, is the fact TF and Gobots were mainly based on vehicles and objects of everyday while the others have specially purposed vehicles or use robotic animals.

I remember having the optimus prime and omega subprime toys as a kid. I put them together and never took them apart. It was my favorite thing growing up.
I have rid Optimus and Magnus. Pute them together as Omega Prime and just display them that way.
Savage Claw Mode and Sonic Wing Mode are two of the most hung Optimus Prime combinations in history.

Are you supriced? Whole Brave series was basicly a rebrand of Transformers after Takara finished production of all Generation 1 shows and needed to make something new

There’s Brave series references all over, just watch Da Garn and Armada’s opening episodes and you’d see a lot of interesting similarities… heck Goldran as well with some Cyber Planet Keys and minicons

This was my childhood. I remember watching this anime trilogy, and getting so amazed when Optimus did all of the linking stuff. I always used to get a very Digimon feel when I watched it.

Prime linking up with Ultra Magnus is the Best
The first instance Optimus Prime merged with fellow Autobots is when he impersonated Menasaur.
Megatron wants to use a meteorite to power up a new weapon.
Optimus merged with others "magnetically" and painted themselves to look like Menasaur so they can infiltrate the Decepticon ranks, come closer to the weapon, and destroy it.
Windcharger provided the magnetism, but him Sideswipe Jazz, Mirage and Prime made a great Menasaur

I liked that one cause the robots looked allot better then armada and energon too me and Optimus is finally a leader class. He was too small for my taste to be Optmus he deserved the leader class and it had the best toys of the three.

Me too but seeing how the combination works out in sonic wing mode there wouldnt be enough room for leobreaker. Wing saber seems to take up much more room than Optimus' normal supermode pack. If they had engineered it to be a transformation for Optimus' legs rather than his back it probably would have worked. Kinda like how jetfire did it in Armada maybe

Did they have a list things that need to happen in all three parts of the Unicron Trilogy? Because it feels like they were two things on there "Megatron must become Galvatron" and "Optimus must have a combined mode that gives him the ability to fly". 2:14 And MAN I wish Hasbro could've gotten the trademark for Star Saber during the Unicorn Trilogy. Because Energon Wing Saber looks like a Star Saber homage design wise. 1:44 Yeah. These combinations are certainly causing a brief power surge since I can clearly see electrical sparks.

That's happened a few times actually, especially in the scramble city ova.
@@heraldofoblivion499 It happened during a mode shift with Supereon (combination of g1 airialbots) Menisor ( stunticon combiner) launched his arm and atached it to Supereon's leg crippleing him.
When I was a child I never thought much about Transformers combining, but now after all those movies I watched and all other movies I watch, it's kinda disgusting how these robots kinda look like Frankenstein, imagine them as humans and not Transformers lol
