Wow. Elijah's grief over the loss of Haley is beyond profound. Man, I'll be the first to admit, I've never been the biggest cheerleader for Elijah or Haylijah for that matter, but I really felt how deeply Elijah's pain runs. Daniel and Pheobe's stunning acting for Haylijah in this episode gave me a heart for Haley & Elijah's endgame. Here is to Haley getting her dance in the afterlife soon. Cheers!

@@millionairementality2346 The potential legacies had really went to hell. TO already had a lot of potential the constant downplaying of all characters and the overt complextiy of the plot that was rather unessecary ruined it. I really wished they didn't rush things in TO and gave us better ending that the characters rightfully deserved. Sorry for ranting I just now live in a world where I am the writer of this whole series and it is infact much better there.

I don't blame Elijah for wanting to be free from "always and forever". That vow has been an unending kick in the face for him from the beginning. "That pathetic entanglement".
He was hurt . He always loved his family more than anything and the though to never see them ever again may have hurted him alot . I felt so sad for him . No one should blame him
'Elijah' wasn't even 'Elijah' when he made his decision to disown his family, he knew of who he was but had no connection to it, besides to Hayley, and even then it was a limited connection of a stranger you met once who you liked a bit, not the deeper and meaningful connection that the real Elijah had to Hayley. Had Elijah never remembered his connections to the people he loves the most, he would have merely lived a pretty little lie of a life, nothing real. His connection with his family while it is messy, complicated, flawed, and at times, dark, IS real, for better or worse, that is who Elijah Mikaelson is. Like Marcel said, his connection to his family anchored him, filled him, grounded him for a thousand years, it was important that he remembered that love. They made a lot of mistakes and did plenty of bad things to each other, but sticking together wasn't one of them.
Poor Elijah. This is why I will never blame him for what happened. Everything he did he did for his family to survive. He gave it all up for them and in the end it cost him everything. Haylie's death is on Hope, Klaus and the Nazi'. PERIOD.

For more bad guy Klaus is, for more worse he had acted, he never did anything that let Hayley dies. If you guys remember, He was on his knees for her. He actually, trying to save what he call a his own family, his daughter,, Hope and the mother of his child Hayley.

Because these Nazi's came to town to get revenge on Klaus for killing their father. If he wasn't a psycho who killed whomever he wanted whenever he wanted these people never would have been in town.

Honestly, I understand why Elijah chose to end it all with Klaus, but it felt unneeded. Especially since Klaus would’ve been entirely against it. Why not leave his greatest protector and biggest supporter, to help watch over his child. As an homage not just to him, but to Hayley as well. GODDAMMIT

Julie plec did elijah so bad in this last season , omg him and hope..i honestly wanted to look forward to their bond the most !!, we all know elijah is the first person that loved her , he the only one who accepted her back then , he also did everything for her , he loved her so much it breaks my heart that hope hate him now , they could have a very cute sweet bond .and why did julie make such an horrible end for haylelijah , he clearly loved her and cared too deeply for her , u can tell just by the way he looked at her , he was so depressed when his memories came back , it broke my heart. I hope they r happy together in the afterlife
