This has to be my favorite scene in the whole freaking episode. When Hope started talking about how she was brought into this world, her mother "hate banging" her Dad and Elijah's reaction, trying to get her to stop talking about it had me cracking up. The interaction between them in this scene was just great. Funny and profound all in just under four minutes. Sheer perfection.

i said this before and i will say it again, Elijah died for no reason when he could’ve live and take care of Hope but noooo the damn writers just had to kill him off and make Hope ridiculous in Legacies.
The story line goes, he died with Klaus because he lived for him
I would have loved a show with her and Elijah, but legacies target audience is teenagers, I never expected it to be the same as originals. That show started in 2013. It’s 2021 now. The cw has changed
They one hundred percent should have written it differently so that Elijah *had to* or otherwise gained anything from dying. In my head, I reimagine it to be that the Hollow was too strong for just Klaus to take it with him to the grave - in one piece, the Hollow could have reformed, but dying split in two meant it was gone forever. Moreover, I like to think that Elijahs sacrifice is what bought enough time for Klaus to have a final goodbye with his family where he is happy and is giving them something happy and bright to remember him by.
I am very happy that the story ends with both brothers gone together, because that felt like the only right way.

Who’d have thought she grew up with so much anger of not having her father then losing her parents before Legacies. I came back after watching Legacies to realize damn girl Landon and Rafael has no family members, at least she was raised by her mother and relatives and still has living relatives that knows her history. And she got to spend time with the ones that past. I really don’t feel to bad for her now.

I feel like if Hope got to have the life that they wanted for her Elijah would be the Uncle to like teach her piano and culture and take her to places in Europe and all of that stuff; Rebecca would take her shopping and make sure she had the best outfits always Klaus would teacher about painting and New Orleans and jazz music Marcel would be like a big brother and he would protect her all the time and always be the one intimidate the new boyfriend and Haley would be the loving and sweet mom with a bit of a stern side, Cole would be the uncle that spoils her rotten and brings her gifts and teach her all about his time with witches, her aunt Freya like in the original show would be the one to give her daily lessons on how to control her magic, if Phil was still there I could see him reading to her and being all around just a loving and kind Uncle. I just wish we got to see all of that

Its like they changed the entire character of Hope in Legacies, they just took the character itself from TO and made her completely different, she used to be strong and baddass,had her dark moments, and in Legacies every character is just boring, there are no exciting fights or spells like in TVD or TO, and the show itself is more children oriented. The fact that it is in the same universe as TVD and TO and there is not a single drop of blood in any scene, nor neck snaps, nor hearts ripped or heads chopped proves to show that they chose to make the show more light-hearted and less dark,intimidating and dangerous.
