- Yellowfang has had a long life and a strained relationship with her only son. she was seen as a monster by many cats for a good chunk of the first series and i believe she still looks at herself as a monster for all the things she was forced to do. this map tries to depict yellowfang's struggle as she fights against a true monster and her self-image as one.
This Map call for this was posted 2 years ago on this channel. a much longer production than I anticipated but I am so proud to see it complete. Thank you to everyone who put work and all their creativity into this! ^^

I love how the Antlers look more like thorny branches instead if deer Antlers. It ties more into the story symbolism

I like how in the ending, the horns that lay on the grass start to bloom flowers. It shows that even though BrockenStar/Tail were evil, he was still Yellowfang's son.

so honored to be part of this map and so happy to see it done! absolutely gorgeous work by everyone! i love the symbolism of yellowfang's antlers, how they mirror brokenstar's, and how that perception of herself as a monster is shown to stick with her throughout her life and afterlife, up until she finally kills brokenstar and makes peace with it. the antlers are such a cool design aspect and it gives this project such unique flair. yellowfang is one of my favorite characters and this is such a beautiful portrayal of her life and struggles in its totality! 💖💖

Beautiful symbolism!! How she grew antlers influenced by Brokenstar, that finally let her defeat the shadow from her past that is Brokenstar, show that Brokenstar also created his own demise and Yellowfang grew to accept whatever happened as a result of her decisions.
What I said is a bit messy, I just want to say: great job everyone!!! Extremely beautiful MAP
I was just randomly recommend this MAP, and this is now probably one of my favorites. The amount of dedication and passion behind this shows very clearly. Yellowfang is one of my favorite characters, and this MAP really does her justice. I actually teared up when her other two kittens met her in the afterlife. This MAP is beautiful, and I'm so glad that everyone had the patience and drive to complete this project :)
THIS MAP IS ABSOLUTELY STUNNING! I love every single moment of it. I adore the symbolism in all of this!! The way that yellowfang finds herself as a 'monster', and how Brokenstar himself is the true 'monster', and it's symbolized by horns is brilliant! Especially with some of the lyrics of the song fitting talking about horns as well.
While on topic of the song, the whole thing fits Yellowfang's life so well!! It's a brilliant choice, and it's nice to listen to as well! If can be interpreted in several ways which is also nice.
And how could I forget the absolutely stunning work that the participants and host have put into this!! Each and every scene is stunning. Complete with backgrounds, beautiful styles, and amazing works of art in every single part. Especially the one at the beginning where Yellowfang paused to look down at her paw, I feel like many have forgotten that Yellowfang could 'feel' other cats' pain, and I find it really neat that it was added!
One last thing,
The character design?! SPOT ON! They're so pretty, and I could recognize each and every character without having to look it up or look at the comments/desc!

Idk if it’s intentional, but I like to think that Yellowfang and Brokenstar’s face scars are so similar to symbolise how other cats, and maybe even Yellowfang herself, see them as similar despite being very different
This was the first thing I saw when I got up and when yellowfang reunited with her dead kits i cried
I love it so much, every animator did absolutely amazing, the design are so pretty and like, you can't go wrong with a Dodie song haha !! No matter what she became in recent books, I'll still love her for who she was in the first serie, still one of my favorites
If I had a nickel for every warriors map where cats battled with antlers I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice

Cats with antlers are pretty cool.
This concept has existed many times before, hollyfawn does not own the concept of cats with antlers and if you think theyre ripping off hollyfawn you completely missed the point of maps

Dhkhdkhkd im a little late to the party but omfg this turned out amazing!!!! Yellowfang is seriously one of the best characters from this series, and I love how her internal struggle was portrayed here. And the flowers at the end :’) Thank you for letting me be a part of this amazing MAP!!!

The way firestar next to hopekit and wishkit makes it look like he's part of her small family
She did have the desire to have had Fireheart (back when he was still a warrior) as a son, but she said that she could not have borne a son like him.
"I wish you’d been my son, but I could not have borne a cat like you." But seeing him with her definitely was great. :)

This MAP is literally amazing! It seriously reminds me of the older MAPs I grew up with, especially cinderpelt's design, which just really made me happy since I felt like a kid again watching this
