WoW! Just WOW! I cannot thank you enough for this video! I’ve spent the last 2 days trying to find a video showing me how to put on snaps, to no avail. Either they go too fast or skip showing essential parts that may seem minute to most. You show every single step & even take it further by showing how to remove them if an error occurs. My stupid self thought the whole project I’ve been working on was ruined because the snap didn’t go on correctly. I actually threw away 2 projects for that reason. Ugh! I was skeptical about watching at first because the video is so long but skipped the intro & watched from the start of the instructions to the end & am so glad I did. You are awesome!!!! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!!! 🥰
Great video! I now can install metal snaps on bibs and the tutorial is so friendly and conversational that it felt like I was having a chat with a friend.
I have grand babies and every time I am looking for tips to do something a little smarter and with high quality, your channel pops up. I learn something or some things very worthwhile each and every time! Thanks so much!
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I am a lefty always blame that for not being able to really read and understand the instructions. Your tutorial was so easily presented that I found immediate success in applying snaps.
Thanks for your help, being left handed I find it hard to do things said in the opposite way, but your demo was not rushed and had the diagram of the snaps that made it easy to do, cheers.
Thank you, your perfect description of applying snaps with your awesome enunciation of every word as you spoke. It seems to me that there is a surprising rise in number of mumblers, especially with the younger generation as yourself. When I went to school, back in my day, we were taught how to speak properly. Thank you for sharing your talent.
I know this video is 7 years old however its My first time watching your video. I needed to learn how to use the gourmet pliers. Just purchased the kit for crafting. I have watched a few video's however they were so hung up on male and female parts that they had me so confused. Watching your video was simple and down to the point. Now I can just snap away. Thank you. I have subscribed and Loved ur video. Have a wonderful day.
best tutorial i've seen on how to do this... i finally got it right!! Appreciate you taking the time to make this video...also was great that you showed the fix and the sources!
She's good. 1. I skipped video introductions usually when I wanted to learn something but somehow I stayed for the whole duration for this.... 2. Thank you!!! You are a wonderful teacher…. I just discovered your channel… and you have the same snap pliers that I bought a year ago… and have had trouble making it work properly…. You make it so simple! And your work space is amazing…. You are so organized.. I am sure that did not all happen overnight…. But it is such an encouragement… and informative on ideas for our own work space.. you are great and I look forward to watching more of your videos!
+Redd Gordon ☺ Thank you, and Welcome to the world of embroidery! We are a pretty decent community, so sit back, have fun, and post any questions you may have.
Hi! I am so excited to have found this video!! I must have watched 20 videos before finding this one. This one is the best by far!! You are excellent at showing everything with every detail!! I am absolutely confident I can finally do a snap ( I hope 😂) and to hear you talk about embroidery .. yay.. I can’t wait to watch your videos!! I’m sure I’ll have lots of questions. I noticed the video is from 2017 so I really hope your still making videos. Thanks!! 🥰
I ordered The Snapsource Snapsetter tool from Nancy's Notions a few days ago and can't wait to get them! thought the pliers would be more of a challenge for my wrists. Thanks for your great ideas.. I used to use Velcro but I think this is easier!
Thank you so much for your video! I have been trying to figure out the snaps/snap tool and getting so frustrated. I tried again with your help and presto! Snaps set! ❤
Thank you, thank you for this explanation! I have avoided metal snaps for so long because I struggled to set them properly. I feel confident I can make them work now!
Hi Denise! Welcome to the world of embroidery and bib making! I appreciate you taking the time to watch our video and letting me know you found the tutorial to be helpful!
Brilliant! Do you have a video on how to attach snaps to hat/pom pom ? I am knitting a hat and want it to have detachable/removable poms. Thank you in advance
+The Baby's Booty You are very fortunate, Dollar Trees in California don't carry any of the lovely items you show in your videos. I live in a rather affluent area and you would think they would carry a wide assortment of items, but nah girl it's so sad! I've been looking for blanks to practice on and little stackable drawers and containers to hold supplies. I've been to three different ones so far and nothing yet! I was able to find a shower curtain which I plan to monogram, some potholders/oven mitts, and satin pillowcases...that's it.
Thanks for doing a great job explaining how to install metal snaps with the pliers. My question is at the snap source the sell long pronged snaps, can you use the pliers on them as well?
Thank you for this video. I was wondering the sizes of the bibs? I saw the bobs in another video but I didn't catch the sizes of each one. I've never used the snaps before only velcro so this was very helpful for me.
Hi Eve, I have watched your video several times and it is very helpful! My problem is finding a pair of the "exact" pliers like those you use. Walmart, Hobby Lobby, eBay and JoAnns does not have them. I ordered some just like yours and they sent me a different pair.........these don't seem like I can squeeze them tight enough to hold the snap securely enough. Also, can you tell me where I can purchase the pearl snaps? I am using 12mm/18L size snaps, and can't find them in pearl or colored snaps. (I like the pearls, but would use regular, colored metal if I could find them. I am looking for a variety of colors). Thank you for any assistance you can give me!
Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find my exact pair again either. Its almost like they stopped making these after I bought mine. I will suggest checking Ebay. Sometimes folks get rid of their old crafting supplies. You may can find it there.
Hi, I am so happy to find your channel .first of all I have to say you are a sweet lady with a smiling face . Now I am telling you what my question is all about the snaps setting , which I have been feeling upset for a while until I see your this video . Your demonstration just excellent with the detail explanation . Unfortunately I bought my metal snaps from Walmart recently that wasn’t the kind with prong . and those you did not show on the screen. Can you show more about snaps?! Thank You and appreciated your sharing in this video.
You can't use rivets as snaps because they are not snaps. However, you can find crystal snaps out there! Look up snap source dot com. See if they have them.
Hi, just starting to using metal snaps. I ordered an Kaos metal snap pliers. The instructions included are not very helpful. Ty for ur help. I may be sending additional questions on these snaps that were included. 👍🏻
Can you provide me the info on the pliers you are using? I have looked in Walmart and Hobby Lobby and did not find them. I have a 12mm/18 L pearl snap. Not sure what size snap plier to purchase. Thank you for any info you can provide. I enjoyed your video very much........very informative!! Thanks again!!
Thankyou for this video, I was having trouble with these. I have just started using an embroidery machine. I find your tutorials very easy to follow and I look forward to seeing what you are going to do next. I am having trouble with needles to use, have you any advice. I do change often, but there are so many types and sizes that it can be confusing?
+Mary Foster You are very welcome! I appreciate you letting me know the video was helpful. ☺ Needles are confusing indeed! I will most certainly address that in a video for you! Thank you for watching our videos 😁
great video - but question - for different sizes do you buy different adapters? I have a broken upper arm that can't be cast and I opted to not go thru surgery so in order to get dressed (put a bra on) I cut my bra strap at the front and installed plastic snaps. I can fasten my bra - pull it up over my hips and then secure the strap at the front with a snap. I used plastic, but would prefer metal which might be more secure. Your thoughts? I'd thought about doing this to a couple of tops (tank tops) - but again I'd like to use metal as opposed to metal. my recovery wil be at least 3-4 more weeks. I'd like to use different sizes but can't find pliers like yours
I have used size 18 and 16 with these pliers. I originally purchased them from Walmart. Check on their website to see if you can find them there. I hope you can so that you can fix your snaps easily!
Oh my goodness you are so cute!! I love ❤️ your RUclips videos. Do you use velcro on any of bibs and if not why? I'm just getting back into sewing and embroidering. I need to organize my sewing room. 😜 Do you have any suggestions?
+yzussuzy 😊😊😊 Thank you! I appreciate you watching our videos! I do not use Velcro. Over time, Velcro loses its stickiness. To me. I prefer snaps. They are sturdier. I'm glad you are picking back up with the craft! 👏🏼 As far as organization, I am NOT the best to advise on that i am not good at it. But I will suggest the cheaper, the better!
Hello Eve: This is Karen new comer to the embroidery busy. Could you tell me what sofeware you got the Crown from to put on the baby's bib? Can you tell me if you use different software.Or did you purchase it some where else and place on jump driver Thank you so much Karen Walker from Pittsburgh, Pa.
Hi Karen! I purchased that crown from an etsy store. Unfortunately, it was such a long time ago, i don't recall exactly what store it was. However if you do a search for "crown embroidery design" on Etsy it's possible it will pull right up. You don't have to have embroidery software to put the purchased design onto your embroidery machine, but I did use Sew What Pro to add the baby's name underneath.
Excellent, Excellent video 7 years later. Just found you today.....10.18.24 Sometimes you want to use metal instead of plastic......thank you much

I git these from Walmart three years ago. Check Ebay for dritz snap pliers.
You ae hilarious. Well my goodness, you are the only one that makes sense out of this. However my plier did not fit with the snap ugggg
Maybe use a fine Needle Nose plyer to bend the prongs and gently straighten them and remove the damaged part.
I just found you on RUclips & I already love the videos. I'd like to know the name of the fabrics you made the bibs out of? Both sides don't look same
