I'd like that interview with the Carbon founder.

Sounds interesting
What is up with the sound it's like you're banging against the glass of an aquarium in the voiceover
Oh f. I thought there was some issues with my earphones.
Lmao that was too specific
he's hitting whatever the mic is on with his hands and it's making the bonk sounds
Supper bugged me. Glad it's not just my setup.
It's a feedback pop that happens from a pitch to sudden silence... in this case, quite audible when he goes off-screen. Notice how the timing of each pop is in sync with each pause.
”A nice milestone at Episode 69“
nice
Lol
I want to see this comment with 69 likes. no more, no less.
69 likes nice
Heh ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
nice
REVIVAL OF THE OG INTRO AND SOUNDTRACK LETSGOOO
nostalgia
Grow back the hair lol
OG sounds were soooo gud !
@@oliverk2712 It sounds much more calming and casual than the current soundtrack that he's using isn't it?
For anyone curious, the song is 'Procrastination' by Kenny Segal
The Easter Eggs I could find.
0:30 Callback to the old logo.
0:40 The failed videos on the left have a red play button on them while the correct ones have a Grey play button.
1:00 and 2:00 RUclips webpages have different languages.
3:35 Angry Martin looking at his disliked video on Top Right Corner.
5:40 The LinusTechTips video's thumbnail has been replaced with creepy Martin.
7:00 The thumbnail has a tiny text saying "I'm actually secretly just an Apple Sheep".
7:03 The thumnails of videos of Mrwhosetheboss and TechAltar video above it.
9:45 The first and the last thumbnail on the right are basically the same.
Comment below if you found any else.
8:29 The Ad above the autoplay (not present in other examples) taking a hit at Xiaomi showing ads in UI.
8:25 The tiny text above the thumbnail reading "Congratulations if you see this, you win nothing"
@@CosmicInfinity I actually thought about that ad for some time. I thought this was taking a hit at Marton saying that Xiaomi saw declining sales after 2016. But they weren't fully connected so I dropped them.
9:45 is not an easter egg
3:05 Having some of the sponsors of TechAltar on the screen might be an Easter Egg.
@@Mr_Yeah yeah but this is taken from a previous video. So I don't think so. Nice observation tho.
Yay Tech Altar is back! The best blend of business and tech vids
"Hi, Happy Thursday. My name is Tech and my surname is Altar."
What I learned is: even when you're wrong, you're right!
Interesting look back and definitely looking forward to the future.
this on spotify as audio podcast would be AMZING
Yeah but he won't do it for two reasons.
1. Money from ads. Impossible to make as much money as with RUclips ads through a podcast. Money flows from users without Ublock Origin and RUclips Vanced. Btw also check out SponsorBlock for RUclips in order to bypass Skillshare/lttstore type ads.
2. Sound quality. Going audio only would require him to really step up his audio game. For months people in the comments have complained about the sound quality, comments that have been kept unanswered.
What I could recommend you is to use Newpipe in order to easily download yt videos as audio only right as they come out.
I remember every single one of these videos, you've come a long way since! Also, don't play with my feelings Martin, I adore that old intro, you better not ditch it again!

I did not expect to hear "Pinephone" when clicking on this video, but it's worth pointing out that it's not trying to provide its own OS to take over Android, it just provides full control to run whatever OS you want on it. That includes Android, along basically every existing Linux for phones like Sailfish OS, Ubuntu and postmarketOS. And on that note, European brands being relatively small is OK, like the Pinephone being small is OK, as long as they can be sustainable while providing what they intend to, because that means more variety and competition, particularly over fields that don't interest mainstream manufacturers like product lifetime, repairability or privacy.
And wow, they really sucked up the life out of bq, Vingroup pretty much dismantled the company in just a year despite all of their promises. ggwp.
Overall, nice retrospective, being open and honest about failures as well as successes is always a positive thing to do. Also the easter eggs make me very confused.
I think the Pixel has the chance to turn itself around with the 4a, especially since it has so many high quality features for such a low price.
The mid-range to semi-premium range is where Google has the best shot at turning the Pixel brand around. I have a Pixel 3 and like it but it's clear they don't care enough about hardware to fight it out with other ultra premium phones.
I agree, if Google can play their cards right I really do think they can make a phone that becomes pretty relevant. I mean Google literally owns RUclips, Samsung may have to pay a ton of money to advertise but Google would practically be paying themselves. Reminds me of that one time when I was playing monopoly with my friends and I landed on my own train, so I paid myself using my own money. I really don't understand why Google is so bad at marketing their Pixels.
I mean if raid shadow legends can sponsor RUclipsrs what if RUclips themselves sponsored RUclipsrs to talk about the Google Pixel? It would be genius.
OG Tech Altar is back, your videos always have a unique perspective, love it :))
I really enjoy that you look back at stuff you've said in the past, because it's so tempting to just keep moving forward with the trends, but taking a look back at the road is not only great content, but a great way to improve over time.
Something that is consistent(and what I really like) about you is how smoothly you move from the content to the video, to explaining the sponsorer. Congrats on your milestone!!
Really love your content! Such a refreshing take on tech news and updates, and how they work behind the scenes.
Hearing that old background music made me soooo nostalgic , I really love and still love it haha. I can actually remember when I started watching your videos it was when you put out the stock android video. Man thinking its been that many years since then is crazy to me!
I love your channel since it's something special and that you always talk about things that most don't. I have been a member of your channnel since the first days. Thanks and keep up the great work.
Hey man, thanks for the great insights you bring to the table, tech is a super complex thing to get a grip on and yet it also feels super important to stay updated in today's world, so thank you very much for providing these amazing explanation, and not being afraid to challenge your past takes !
You've come a long way! Congrats on the success and also the successful predictions.
Hey, Everytime you show B-roll, I notice some sound like someone dripping water on a Microphone
same here, so distracting
One more like till 69
I didn't notice it until I read this comment
It was music lol
I recently binged like 20 or so story behind series videos and I just can’t think of a reason why you aren’t as famous as I assumed you were. I absolutely love your content!! my favourite thing to do every week is the crowd tech quiz😂
Amazing in depth and thorough content about behind the scenes working of tech companies and industry as a whole. You deserve many more subscribers! Way to go ❤️
Your videos have been very informative. And the story behind series is a very good initiative you have taken. Keep the good work up.
I love your videos tech altar, they are great and always very well produced and informative. One of the few channels I've ringed the bell to receive the notifications. You deserve 1 million subscribers and much more.
Dude I love you for admitting you were sometimes wrong it's not a sign of sham it's the opposite as a sign of wisdom not a lot of youtubers do the same. You already gained my trust and looking forward for more videos... Thanks
Your story behind series is holy grail in tech community, I look forward to these videos for better understanding of tech world. Thanks a lot. Keep creating these amazing videos.
I love your content, its graphical side and also amount of tech knowledge you have is hard to come by on RUclips and I hope your channel will explode in popularity.
You are right! these new thumbnails a freaking amazing. They are so clean and well done and they basically pop at me from the subscription feed.
I’m loving this segment... going back and looking at the predictions made! Well done, mate! ✌🏽
I’m loving this segment and congrats on the successful predictions.
It takes a big person to admit that they were wrong, and, perhaps, and even bigger person to admit that they were wrong on their own You Tube channel!
I am very glad to have found TechAltar, as it is surely one of the best tech-related channels here. The presenter knows whereof he speaks, since he is an industry insider. He also has experience of working in China, and so he posesses a good working knowledge of how the tech industry in that country.
The production values of these videos is always excellent, and the various topics are explained in a very clear and comprehensible manner. I feel better informed for having watched them.
Congrats on the nice milestone!
I've been following you since early days of yours . Always packed with information and logic. Somethime i feel you are from future. Good luck !
I appreciate that you're looking back on your videos, keeping yourself accountable
Really liked this video format. Keep up the good work.
Bloatware and ads are the main reasons for stock android. I think it’s more needed now than every before.
It was really nice of you to analyse your past predictions.
It gives a perspective of what went wrong and what became an industry standard.
Keep it up!
the production quality on your channel is up with the very best of them. every things just oozes quality, the content asade, coz thats pretty opinion based. but the presentatin, is top notch! and i think the content is really good quality
I really enjoy watching your the story behind videos. This way I get also some knowledge how the business works. And it's true, you can't always be right when doing predictions, but this definitely doesn't have any impact on you credibility:) you are definitely on a good path to 1M :)
7:58 hey there is a smartphone brand called karbonn in india as well which is now almost dead
Love your content! Keep bringing such informative videos!💯
Hey dude, I think your content is super cool and informative and love to see every time you post, I learn something every time
Please make a video on carbon! They sound really interesting!
I thought the milestone was going to be something huge 🤦🏻♂️😂
69 is huge, when I first try with my Girlfriend, smelly and salty.
That intro brings back a lot of memories. I may not have agreed with everything you said, but I just wanted to appreciate you bringing a new, if not already quite interesting, perspective among the techtubers.
Nice video, like usual. I believe your channel is still underrated! Keep on the good work 👌
I freaking love your videos!!
“A milestone of ep 69”
I see that you’re a man of culture
Ps niceeeee

Nokia is trying to sell phones to a market that doesn't exist.
lol fr
Lol
my sister just got a nokia phone for her birthday and is quite enjoying it
i don't exist...
Bro care to explain? I would like to know
It is so rare for anyone to look back at their past predictions and make improvements! Great job 👍👍👍
Hey, been watching you for a few years now. Keep making interesting videos and taking such an interesting look at technology
Proud to say that I've been here since the first of these seires and I've loved each one of them 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
This video is the first introduction that I, an American, have had to Fairphone, and I just finished browsing their website and sending them an email encouraging them to expand to the US market. Thanks for introducing me to something really cool!
Looking back at old predictions and how things turned out is a very valuable lesson.
Keep up the good work. Hope more people start watching your channel.
0:29, Love the callback to the original logo!
But I also like the current one too.
Your thumbnail game is indeed very sharp lately! Congrats
Your and Dave Lee's thumbnails and videos are the best
Yo I meed more of these video essays on tech like these. Congrats on the 69 milestone! You deserve more recognition :)
One of my favourite RUclipsrs by far. It's criminal that he doesn't have at least 1m subscribers!
1:16 of course you gotta include your own app 😂
Great content as always, keep it up!
I find it amazing how this channel isn’t at 1mil right now. Literally everything in here makes me think on what smartphone companies are doing and you even predicted some things others can’t
Also just to add, I loved your old intro way better. It was clean and pleasing.
Pinephone is sold out and on preorder even though it is still in early development. It seems wrong to claim success on such a prediction unless it was specifically something like 'hasn't made an impact by September 1 2020'.
What irks me that he suggest that the Pinephone is an Android alternative. Incorrect. It's a project to run a proper Gnu/Linux OS on a phone with proper driver support, hardware customization and privacy through FOSS software and killswitches. It was never aimed at the average user and it's also not suitable for most enthusiasts, since it's still a "get your hands dirty" device.
you should make a podcast mate, I love to consume that type of media whilst on the go i.e.going for a walk, running errands and even driving.. it'd be so much easier in a podcast form.
Super courageous video to make. Thank you.
That was such a great segway into the promo that I actually stayed to watch it.
I think u r the only RUclipsr that admit that your previous prediction was wrong, appreciate the flashback... Always your channel since back in the days (when u havent shaved ur head) 😉
dude, this was a awesome video!!! hope to get even more of your content !
After watching a techaltar video I feel like having an insider knowledge of the tech industry. The content as a nerd I crave for.
Very good and honest video as always.
So glad you brought that music back.👍
No one in youtube will dare to share their failures except Techalter. We love u techalte6
The predictions that came out right that matters, so well done TechAltar🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
The best RUclips tech series by far!
I definitely think your thumbnail game has improved. Good job ^.^
Love your videos, man! Sub'ed!
Keep up with the great content!
Never saw someone reviewing his own past predictions... Very good Tech Altar
Great content, but definitely a underrated yt channel. Love watching your videos.
Brother I love your content, As a tech enthusiast, I love the way you have presented your successful and failed predictions honestly. It's true that we loved and really wanted windows Phone to succeed btw rest is history. I feel your channel needs more love and support.I'm glad I found your channel. Keep doing more and more. Love from India ❤️
This channel really deserves more love.
You're such an underrated RUclipsr!
"Nice milestone at episode 69"
Men will be men 😂😂
This is a really nice video! do more revisitations please!!!!
i wish I could go back to 2014 and just stayed there.
Your videos are only once a month but so we’ll done and on topics more relevant than yet another review from LTT even though they are nice people. Your videos may sometimes be on controversial topics but they’re super interesting
Az is elképesztő, hogy mennyit változott az angolod (jó irányba). Keep up the great work! :)
Love your honest opinion even in your self , thats why i`m a subscriber 😉
The lofi intro is so good!
Yess! I'd love if you made a podcast! would listen to it 100%
Oh god. You finally convinced me to buy Skillshare! Your thumbnails, they are so good!
Loved the throwback to the old intro
I really like your content and I'm a fan of yours, you're great♥️♥️♥️
The fact that two of the accurate predictions are also most disliked videos really shows the kind of society we currently live in
I got so hyped when i saw the OG intro!!
I just Found out your channel. Pretty Unique and Dope Content.
