Thanks Tony for the videos, I'm actually replacing the swaybars and the L+R alloy hub assembly as the anchor points for the swaybars was snapped off by previous owner in an accident and which was never repaired
Great video as always Tony! I can't wait for the next videos - my suspension is in need of a refresh and i was going to pay a garage - but might be a DIY candidate once I get some time!
Hi, thanks for the video, I wanted to know if the flat sign that is on the stabilizer bar should be positioned on the left on left-hand drive cars and on the right as for yours with right-hand drive cars during assembly, thanks in advance
I've got to check this antiroll bar on my Giulietta too. That clunky noise drives me crazy. But dont know if it's rear/front bushes or droplinks. How much cost your brand new bushes? I checked eBay and have seen 14mm pack for 45 quid
Thanks for the video Tony, very informative. Is the replacement the same on the QV model in terms of accessibility and construction? I think I will need the 15mm bushes because the anti-roll bar is a bit bigger. And what bolts did you use as replacement, M8?
Hi Thijs. Thank you. As far aa I know it’s the same for the QV. I’m sure it would be the 15mm for that. M10 nuts bolts and washers for the replacement. 👍 Did you like the result? What did you think about the red? Be interested to hear peoples opinions. All the best 👍
@@vialettotony it’s looking very good! Personally I would have kept the brackets black or silver, but overall it’s a huge improvement. I’ll tackle the job somewhere this year, so I’ll let you know whether or not there are any surprises for replacing them on the QV. ;)
hello how much does the complete kit cost, 4 front pieces of the arms, plus 2 for the front stabilizer bar? For I have here in Italy they cost a lot. thank you
Hi Luca. Not sure I fully understand but the bushes were just sourced on line. I think the rear two bushes were about £40. Hope that helps. All the best 👍
Hi Marc. So the Powerflex bushes are harder and allow less flex, therefore stiffening up the car for better handling. And they’re purple which looks great with the red😉😂. Hope that helps 👍
I've ordered some Tedgum PU bushings. However they don't have an opening cut in them like your powerflex'. How the hell are they supposed to wrap around the sway bar? Any idea?
Hi. Sounds a bit odd and I have some ready for the front sway bar too. If you have the grease, and the bar is in good shape I would imagine with a fair amount of effort you should be able to squeeze them over the end flat but and up the bar. It’s amazing what a bit of good lubricant can do for you 😉. All the best 👍
@@vialettotony I ended up buying bushings from Strongflex. Arrived in 3 days and they did have a slit. They were also 14mm bushing like my petrol G requires. Installed them today and all is well.
They're installed. It was a massive pain in the butt. The bolt that clamps the knuckle in stripped immediately. The knuckle also didn't want to come out because it was under tension. Had to cut the arms in half to release the tension. Putting the new arms in also seemed nigh impossible as the knuckle didn't reach the wishbone like on the video. Had to jack the hub up to get it to go high enough but even then it was simply to far away. Brute force eventually did it but the rubber on the ball joint is split...

Thank you. The best giulietta troubleshooter
Watched a few of your videos, loving them and such great detail and expertly explained
Hi Steve. Thank you. All the best 👍

Great Job

Hi. Not sure for definite. Not sure it would make much difference, but I’d stay with how it is on the video. All the best 👍
Bravo👍, visto che c'eri potevi cambiare anche le biellette stabilizzatrici!
Ahah… that’s another video. All the best 👍
Can you please tell what size is the new nut and the washer that you put? Thank you in advance for your videos
Hi FoZzZ. I used M10’s on mine. That matched the ones that came out
Hope that helps. Thanks for watching and subscribing if you have. All the best 👍
Hi Tony, wanting to do this to my giulietta QV. Can’t find any power flex ones anywhere online. Don’t suppose you have a link for them ? Thank you 🙏
Hi, i think i got mine direct from Powerflex. All the best 👍

Why not change the drop links as well while you’re at it?
Saved that for another video (available on the channel). All the best 👍

Are you supposed to grease the outside of the bushes as well?
What paint did you use?
Hi sorry, I can’t recall now. It want anything special though and still looks great a year or so on. All the best 👍
What's the differences u noted between the original bushes amd powerflex bushes?

@@vialettotony any difference in handling vibrations or small bumps or is that all the same?

The bad news Tony is they don’t allow your car in the Mille Millia or the targa Floria…😂 but nice try….. great upgrade though💪🏼😎
Ah, British weather. So much rust so early.
I know. It’s terrible. 11 years old. I need to sort it while it’s sunny. All the best 👍
