Home Free has also featured this couple in two other performances, though not singing parts -- "Grandma got run over by a reindeer" and "Thinking out loud/ Let's get it on." Both great covers that I think you'd enjoy. Merry Christmas and thank you for all the joy you've brought us this year!
I only just recently realised that Reilly and McKenzie were in ‘grandma got run over by a reindeer’ (alongside HF producer Darren Rust), the other video is a one shot video, that is to say, start to finish with no cuts or editing, with HF moving around behind the camera to be in their position when the camera pans around as it follows H+F in the story they’ve written (it’s hard to describe, you need to watch it)
They actually did more together, they also have one song with Tim and Jenika (Tims wife) and two just with Jenika. I'm not sure you ever heard her before
My absolute favorite Christmas song. Their three voices match so beautifully. Tim's voice always makes me smile, the Trio even more so. Jennifer, thanks for your comments. Love how at 9:00 you can't help but sway to the angelic music.
Somehow I've overlooked The Hound + The Fox. Thanks, Jen, for introducing them to me, and for an entertaining and informative reaction and analysis, as usual.
i'm not even half as talented or skilled as these three - but these are the harmonies i love to sing! When you can hear them intertwining with each other, and when you're learning the part you think 'THAT's not a logical next note - ' but when you hear it all together it works. And for me that makes odd harmonies that work so beautifully really easy to memorise!
This is one of my favorite Christmas carols. I'm flabbergasted that I somehow missed this version, it's great. My favorite version though is still The Beach Boys version. Their Christmas album and Neil diamond's Christmas album were the staple albums for decorating our house for christmas.
Glorious! Interesting key and tone and tempo!! Marvelous harmonies! Yes, very distinctive!! Great analysis, as always! (can't believe I'm the first to comment!)
Great job Jen and what a beautiful song. Tim's bass voice always gives me chills. I mentioned this in a comment on another reaction, but you might not have seen it. I think you would really enjoy Mary Did You Know by Voctave feat. Mark Lowry. He is well known from when he use to sing in the Gaither Vocal Band. He wrote this song. They will give you chills. Hope to hear you react to it. Merry Christmas.
Jen, this has always been a Christmas favorite of mine going way back to the 1960's at church. We'd sing this after Thanksgiving & before Christmas as one of our weekly hymns in church....these three take it to another level with those insanely beautiful voices...yes it's definitely Christmas when you hear this
Beautiful! Great reaction and analysis of a wonderful song. I've heard many versions of this song and I have to say that this one is in my top 5. Hope you have a wonderful and safe Merry Christmas and look forward to seeing your next video. Thank you
Happy Christmastide and New Year, Jen. Thank you for your educational reactions; I am learning lots! BTW, Hound and Fox dedicated one of their videos in memory of my husband. They are such caring people!
Love it!!! The "sound" just blows me away (still). Thank You Jen for another great year, totally enjoyable!!! Wishing the Merriest Christmas EVER ... and coming into '23, the Happest of New Years. Be Safe
Wow. This was stunning. Thanks for sharing it as well as breaking down what you/we are hearing. I will definitely be listening to this one some more! Merry Christmas! 🎄
beautiful song, great reaction. looking forward to the next one. Hope you have a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year. Thank you for all the joy and fun you gave me .
HI Gin (and husband Tonic)! Another great reaction to a great song performed by three great voices! I think you could react to a toilet flushing and make it seem wonderful. Please continue what you do. I just saw "The Charismatic Voice" react to Lucy Thomas covering "Hallelujah" and I think you would enjoy it as much as she (and I ) did. The Hound and The Fox are stupendous singers and collaborate with other singers such as Peter Hollens, Adam Chance of Home Free, and others fairly frequently, although their sound with just the two of them is exquisite in its own right. I will continue to be a fan of Gin for a long time!
Tim Foust was a Dragon in a former life. convince me I'm wrong *chuckle I Love his whole range so much yummy and I Love the WhatTheFoust was that moments !!!!
Jennifer! Way behind here. Trying to catch up. I've been out of town through yesterday evening. Well this one was very pretty. I know when Tim was doing his deep bass part I could see it on your face ... you wanted to jump in there. 😁 Good restraint on your part because he was pretty low. Beautiful cover and amazing reaction and analysis as always Jennifer! 😊
I think it's just a law of the universe at this point Any time Tim Foust is a guest vocalist for someone not in Home Free He has to go sub-basememt at least once
That glotal Tim uses in his easy on the force, the in no effort there. Push lower and it gets harder but the 2nd piano octave there is no effort at all.
It may just be my impaired hearing but to me the instrumentals volume is drowning out the singers a lot in this song. Especially when there is only one singer singing. Is it just me?
The Hound and The Fox just had their second child last Friday. Baby boy is named Cypress.

Hi Jen, great to see you're checking this one out, hope you look at others I've suggested in other videos *wink*
One of my absolute FAVORITE songs by H+F is What Child is This/Child of the Poor. Absolutely stu-HUN-ning!!!!
Beautifully sung !! Great reaction. Thank you !!🎼🎄🎵☃️🎶🦋
Thank you!

I love this Carol so much, and this rendition is amazing. Wonderful reaction video.
Home Free - Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas is definitely needing for your analysis!!!
Enjoy this time with you Jennifer. Execusite song made from a grand old piece. Happy Christmas
The star of light chords also occur in the hymn Hail Mary, Gentle Woman which is one of my mother's favorite songs. She'll love this.
Love that song. ❤

Stephen Sondheim is the king of harmonies that don't seem logical when learning that are absolutely genius when you get them figured out.
The Hound and The Fox have done collaboration videos with not only Chance and Tim but also Chris Rupp and Rob Lundquist.

Great reaction to an absolutely wonderful rendition of this song. (so much joy here from singers and our host) 😃
Thank you😊
Reilly and McKenzie sound so good together, and adding a lower voice to the mix always sounds great - thank you for another lovely analysis.
Glorious! Interesting key and tone and tempo!! Marvelous harmonies! Yes, very distinctive!! Great analysis, as always! (can't believe I'm the first to comment!)

Happy Boxing Day!!
This one’s good answer this is a winner I love this one Jennifer C back it’s been a long time not when you got Angelina Jordan on your list LOL
Would love to see you react to the live version of ‘You’ll Never Leave Harlan Alive’ by Patty Loveless. It’s Appalachian country music.
Hi Jennifer, I didn't mean to freak you out with my last comment, I just think that you are so talented
PLEASE PLEASE REACT TO SNOW GLOBE BY HOME FREE!!!!!! TIMS RANGE IS INSANE AND ITS MY FAVOURITE HOME FREE CHRISTMAS SONG!!❤❤
Please react to 'Wonder As I Wander - Epic Version' by Simon Khorolskiy. It really is epic the way he does it.
I think it's just a law of the universe at this point
Any time Tim Foust is a guest vocalist for someone not in Home Free

What did the 3rd King say? But wait, there's myrrh!
1:24, I am surprised to hear a woman’s voice. Somehow, I thought it would be three men. Pleasantly surprised. Let me keep listening now!
what a beautiful girl..

I don’t know if you’ve reacted to Lisa “gurenge” yet so here’s the link. She has an amazing voice

Sometimes, when you chop off the outro, it's like neutering a puppy.
