Yes, Tim grew up listening to Doo wop, country and Gospel music. His church didn't use any instruments so he was exposed to acapella from the beginning.
@@roniboyd613 , you're probably right. I heard at one point he was offering lessons through his website for anyone who wanted to set them up through that forum.
He's in the process of putting out a series of albums that covers the music that influenced him while growing up. Pieces of Me Vol 1 is out and covers doo wop. He plans to do at least two more albums.
Another great rendition by Tim Foust. Love his new cd with all the older doo-wop songs. His voice really suits this genre of music. We know he can really bring the bass but how about his falsetto? He has a 5 octave range. I have always loved these 2 songs from 1960 "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow" by The Shirelles & "Stay" by Maurice Williams & The Zodiacs.
You should listen to Tim and Austin's duet My Maria. Tim sings the higher part. Chris Chatham the guy in the control room of this song plays the guitar and also sings a solo part in the video. Two other musician friends play a bass guitar and keyboard. It's performed at the back deck of Austin's house in Nashville. The Home Free guys have a close knit community of various musicians and friends.
I am just blessed to be alive to enjoy this variety of music that pays homage to the best songs from a span of decades. Beauty, happiness, love, serious, uplifting, all of those songs are never to old to be appreciated, and when talented artist lend their own gifts to the mix it just has to add to a rich life lived in the light. I don't feel left out because my special gift is to appreciate it all.☺
Tim loves doo-wop and grew up listening to it-I suspect his mother listened to it. Most of his (and Home Free’s) music videos will have a minute or two of talking about why and where they were filmed/made. If you want to hear some of his silkier midrange, In My Room is good and also shows a bit more of him layering the vocals. The Bass Gang put out a new video this week that features Tim and I think you would get a kick out of it. For a bit of trivia, the guy doing the recording/producing is Chris Chatham. He performs with ‘Tim Foust and Friends’, Sweet+Low, and plays guitar in So Long Dixie, the title track of Home Free’s latest album. I love it when musicians lead their audiences to new musicians!
You should also check out some of the work Tim has done with Peter Hollins... very excellent stuff! Also know that Tim did a whole Doo-Wop album. Love your reaction.
I love Pentatonix. I adore Voiceplay. Home Free is precious to me. Every one of these kids is multitalented and a joy to watch as well as to hear. Since this is Tim’s spot, I’ll focus on his amazingness. His five octave range is a work of art. If you watch some of HF live videos and hear his quick witted responses or his Uncle Tim’s story time, you know he would shine as a stand up comedian. He writes beautiful songs and practically pulses with the love he has for his craft. A gift he gives us all is shared joy and a smile that can light up the world. He has the respect and admiration of his peers and has won mine as well. Listen with your heart and you’ll find he makes it sing. Then tune in to everything else these boys have to offer. There is nothing unfair about the special gift Tim or his band mates have been given as they’ve chosen to share them with any of us who care to listen.
Love love love this!!! I needed that Leonardo!!😂 priceless! I’ve had such a down day. That took me out of that funk for a little bit. God bless you and all your familia! His performance is great too. Lol
Thank you so much for reacting to this song of Tim's. He is absolutely amazing with these two songs. I really liked it when...Lonely Tear Drops...came to mind. Tons of those songs are my favorite also. Tim's range with all the music is amazing. He said in elementary school through part of high school he sang tenor before his voice changed and the bass rolled in. He worked with both. When you have time...The Bass Gang's new song is a lot of fun. Thanks again.
Leo, I TOTALLY and COMPLETELY agree with you that is extremely unfair that one man should have so much talent. While I may be able to carry a tune in a bucket, I have no where near the talent Tim does!! I'm so jealous, although I have to say I can listen to him and HF for literally hours!!
And he can do math! I heard he was a math teacher before he was convinced he could make it in music (a freakin' understatement)! He has an entire DooWop album!
Tim listens to a wide range of music and has an affection for several genres. This album shows his love for the Doo Wop era. So it's an entire album of him singing all the parts in all the songs. It's truly no surprise as he admits to being a deep fan of acapella and Doo Wop era songs are perfect for acapella groups to sing. Before joining Home Free, he was a member of several acapella groups so has a lot of experience with Doo Wop. But never all alone. I am curious what genre his next album project will be. Before he joined Home Free, he put out an album of country songs he wrote so I don't know if he would do another country one. (Fun fact, some of those songs from his country album have gone on to be popular Home Free songs!) But Home Free has proven that they do all kinds of genres and with Tim's range, it is really difficult to say what he will do next.
I love Tim’s cover of The Duke Of Earl. It’s on his doo-wop album part 1. All the songs are awesome but I love that one the best. I was a teen during the Motown era. My parents were from the south but I was born and raised in Michigan. Thanks for your great reactions. 🎼🔥🎵🦋🎶🔥🔥
Leonardo Tim put out an mazing album last year, called Pieces of Me part 1...all Tim all do wop songs....my favorite on the album is Blue Moon but the Lion Sleeps tonight is great too
Undoubtedly YES! As much as I have an ear for it and a love for many different genres, I can’t sing. I mean I guess I can sort of carry a tune, but not well enough that I’d want anyone to hear me lol! I’m jealous of Tim…and others who are simply overflowing with talent! By the way…great reaction video as usual! 😃👍🏻♥️
For an Austin Brown Tim Foust song try My Maria. For an Austin Brown song perhaps Georgia On My Mind. For an Adam Chance song, try his Wayfaring Stranger. Did you see the Rob Lundquist Austin Brown version of Nessen Dorma?
Tim just loves doo-wop and older music. 👍 He loves the Beach Boys. You should check out his "5 Tims" rendition of "In My Room"! He truly outdid himself. 💕🎶🤯 His album, "Pieces of Me, Vol. 1" is phenomenal. I highly recommend grabbing a copy from his website. Another reactor actually did a reaction to the whole album, so you can get an idea of what you're missing! 😳 His version of "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" is out of this world. He does everything on the album - all singing parts, backup, claps, finger snapping & sound effects, beatboxing, even the animal sounds! Lol 🤯💕 Something I've rarely seen someone react to (but more really should!) is an audio-only version Tim did - shortly before joining Home Free - of "Can't Help Falling in Love With You"! OMG, it's gorgeous! Apparently his grandmother loved him singing that song, so he recorded it for her. He's playing the piano accompaniment, as well! His talent apparently has no end! The vocals are so smooth, it's ridiculous. Highly, highly recommend!! ❤👍
Great reaction. I loved this. I also wanted to say that I was unfair to you on one of your reactions to Home Free and I am sorry. Thanks for continuing down the Home Free path!
His entire album is doowop, and is (in my opinion) worthy of ALL the genre's best groups. On his own, just layering. Layering all parts by himself, harmonizing by himself. Just wow! As if I couldn't love him more. He covers 'The Lion Sleeps Tonight', 'Duke of Earl', and 'In My Room' so wonderfully that I put the album on repeat and listened for 5 days straight. Had some very interesting dreams too... not that I'm complaining! Hope you'll give each of the guys' solo efforts a listen, they're amazing alone or with the group. First suggestion: Chance covers 'Driver's License' beautifully, and does several songs with The Fox & the Hound (Wayfaring Stranger = my #1 pick) that are out of this world.
Hey Leo, nice reaction, it’s nice to hear honest reviews. Tim is one of the best. You might want to check out Pentatonix for more acapella music, you won’t be sorry
If you didn’t have a chance to listen to his outro, he mentions that this is volume one of a trio he plans to record. I think each volume will focus on a different kind of music that influenced him.
He just did one with The Bass Gang that shows off his range. Unfortunately, is probably not going to be one of your favorites because you prefer more of the barbershop quartet style harmonies.
Hey Leonardo I've been keeping up with your journey for some time. The church I attend just released a new single called "watch what God will do" The church group is called MBCWorship. Give it a listen, it'll give you goosebumps.
This would have gotten a like if I could have found a link to his video in the description. Sorry to be picky, but I think the artist being reviewed in these videos deserve to have people pointed to their RUclips pages.
Yes, Tim grew up listening to Doo wop, country and Gospel music. His church didn't use any instruments so he was exposed to acapella from the beginning.
This is wonderful. I just can't get over Tim and Geoff Castelluccis' ranges. Tim just did a cover with The Bass Gang.
Isn't that just a wonderful collab?!!!
I read somewhere that Tim helped Geoff expand his range.
@@kristindunstan172 Tim has helped Geoff and Avi, and probably more that we don't hear about😊
@@roniboyd613 , you're probably right. I heard at one point he was offering lessons through his website for anyone who wanted to set them up through that forum.
Hey bro. So glad you got on the Home Free journey and branching out to Tim's solos. Much love to you
Hey Dennis! 🙋🏼♀️
He's in the process of putting out a series of albums that covers the music that influenced him while growing up. Pieces of Me Vol 1 is out and covers doo wop. He plans to do at least two more albums.
Thanks Leonardo! That was fun. 😄🍟

You should also check out some of the work Tim has done with Peter Hollins... very excellent stuff! Also know that Tim

He is doing two whole Doo Wop albums because he loves thats the type of music he grew up on.

LOL great thumbnail hermano! Tim Foust is really not fair
Tim is a master at harmonizing with himself 😆
I loved your lipsinc 'snippet' of Jackie Wilson. LOL
Tim's album , Pieces Of Me, is incredible !! He is a beast!! My fav singer, ever
Imagine how hard he's worked to develop that talent!
Great reaction! And this is Tim Foust is perfection!!!! He range is crazy good, and he just sings to my soul. Thank you for your reaction!
Silky Smooth Indeed!!! Tim is 🔥🔥🔥🔥with his octave range!!! Great reaction and thanks for sharing! ♥from a Home Fry Texan!!!
Love love love this!!! I needed that Leonardo!!😂 priceless! I’ve had such a down day. That took me out of that funk for a little bit. God bless you and all your familia! His performance is great too. Lol
Tim is so great with all of his ranges and blending them like this. His Doo Wop is fantastic.
Thank you so much for reacting to this song of Tim's. He is absolutely amazing with these two songs. I really liked it when...Lonely Tear Drops...came to mind. This is Tim's favorite era of music....and he just knocks it out of the park... This is from an album of songs from the era.
Tim has a 5-octave range. This is so amazing! Love your reaction!
Tim doesn't have to show off, its just natural beautiful expression of his respect and love for music!!
Super excited about this. Cant wait to see your thoughts.
Loved. Loved this song. Sure brought back memories for me. Loved your review as always.
This album is just amazing!! I’ve listened to it on repeat since I bought it! It’s called Pieces Of Me.
This shows Tim's range ❤️
This guy is SO Beautifully BRILLIANT❤
And he can do math! I heard he was a math teacher before he was convinced he could make it in music (a freakin' understatement)! He has an entire DooWop album!
I loved it! Tim is just so good and what range he has. I love his In My Room (a great song by The Beach Boys). He’s super talented. Good reaction!😃
His rendition of Since I Don’t Have You is also incredible.
Tim is a massive beach boys fan, covers some of theirs as well.
Tim is ridiculous 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Both Tim Foust and Geoff Castelluci are amazing vocalists and music arrangers. Both are a complete Band in A Box! Amazing talent!
Tim listens to a wide range of music and has an affection for several genres. This album shows his love for the Doo Wop era. So it's an entire album of him singing all the parts in all the songs. What a reaction! And you got some great pipes too! Peace from Northern Michigan.
he likes 50s n 60s music bc the sound (soda shop/diner/jukebox/doowop) really fit his vocal range.
Hahaha=Loved your Lonely Teardrops-and reaction, of course! LOL
I love Tim’s cover of The Duke Of Earl. It’s on his doo-wop album part 1. All the songs are awesome but I love that one the best. I was a teen during the Motown era. My parents were from the south but I was born and raised in Michigan. Thanks for your great reactions. 🎼🔥🎵🦋🎶🔥🔥
I love that he's harmonizing with himself.
OMG! OMG! Yes, YES! PLEASE! A DOO WOP COLLAB WITH TIM! Dang, you and all of Home Free!!! 😁
Leonardo Tim put out an mazing album last year, called Pieces of Me part 1...all Tim all do wop songs....my favorite on the album is Blue Moon but the Lion Sleeps tonight is great too
Love that he shares his talent, not hiding it away! Wouldn't mind some too though 😉 BUT Tim needs to keep all his!!
Tim is my bass guy! Oh, and every other range. Love Homefree also! Great reaction!🤠❤🔥
I'm just glad he loves old songs that I, and obviously you, already love.
I missed the premiere☹️…
Great reaction, Leonardo 💛
I don’t know why, but Tim is a bebopper and I love it! Great reaction and I totally agree. It’s unfair for one person to have that much talent.
I’m always impressed with his 5 octave range ! Awesome talented musician! So humble and caring ❤
You must go back because his super high notes were at the very end in the fade out
That was awesome!!
Undoubtedly YES! As much as I have an ear for it and a love for many different genres, I can’t sing. I mean I guess I can sort of carry a tune, but not well enough that I’d want anyone to hear me lol! I’m jealous of Tim…and others who are simply overflowing with talent!

6th member of Home Free?! 😉😁Let’s go!!!
Great reaction! Love Tim's doo-wop album. Can you react to The Bass Gang featuring Tim! it's called: Hooked on a Feeling.
LOVE YOUR LONELY TEARDROPS🤣
Hey Leo, nice reaction, it’s nice to hear honest reviews. Tim is one of the best. You might want to check out Pentatonix for more acapella music, you won’t be sorry
TIM HAS A WHOLE ALBUM OF 60'S MUSIC
I love his cover of “since i dont have you “ and “in my room”. Both from his doo-wop album
I totally agree with you. Its just not fair 😢😂❤
If you didn’t have a chance to listen to his outro, he mentions that this is volume one of a trio he plans to record. I think each volume will focus on a different kind of music that influenced him.
He did a whole Do-Wop album!
🔥 should try Austin's version of Etta James song AL LAST
5 octave range! I have heard him exceed this!
Tim was the tenor singer in his last group.
Tim has an entire album of older doo-wop songs so yes he likes it.
Yeah, he has three vocal ranges and I barely have one !!!!!!!!!!!!!
❤
Listen to Tim do his cover of In My Room by the Beach Boys. Most beautiful 5 Tims singing at once!!
Tim loves do wop its just his favorite music
Tim is a 5 octave superbass.
He also has an doo wap called pieces of me
"Five Octave Foust!"
He sings the old songs because they mostly have soul. Very Few modern songs do.
Tim said he just always loved old Doo Wop songs
He said that when his voice started to change as a boy he worked to keep both voices
YEA !! Jackie Wilson....nice job.....
He just did one with The Bass Gang that shows off his range.
Unfortunately, is probably not going to be one of your favorites because you prefer more of the barbershop quartet style harmonies.
You want to talk about Tim's higher register then watch and listen to Home Free's video where they cover "Mayday" by Cam
His entire album is spectacular. Totally devoted to Doo-Wop
When music was MUSIC!
They were his songs when you g and he is keeping them alive
Please react to Tim's " In My Room" Beach Boys Cover, is the real deal too!!
This one would have blown your mind if you hadn't listened to Mayday..
Hey Leonardo I've been keeping up with your journey for some time. The church I attend just released a new single called "watch what God will do" The church group is called MBCWorship. Give it a listen, it'll give you goosebumps.
Have you listened to Tim's "Come Go With Me"? You'll like it.
If you hadn't already heard, Tim has a five (5) octave range.
This would have gotten a like if I could have found a link to his video in the description. Sorry to be picky, but I think the artist being reviewed in these videos deserve to have people pointed to their RUclips pages.
Tim sometimes forgets he's a bass singer!!!!
You should listen to his comments at the end of this.
Old soul!
He loves Frankie Valley and the Four Seasons.
Loved your reaction but you missed the ending.
As to why older songs, we've got more $ and time. But, mostly $.
