Isn't Tim just something else?! What an astounding talent. For people who are unaware of his insane vocal range, I'm sure this would be a shock to them. Tim is a most genuine and humble person. In fact, Home Free are all decent, humble, down to earth guys. They love and appreciate their fans. None of them have succumbed to the arrogance of celebrity. Another reason the Home Fries are so fiercely loyal to them. Great reaction. Thanks.

He lifts his chin to help do the high notes, he dips the chin to do the low ones. Notes that seem to us as middle to high baritone are still high for him, his normal being the high to middle bass range. Reaching the tenor notes sometimes he even raises up on his toes. That doesn't help voice the note one bit but it tells you he's working to get there and he has his own mental image of what he needs to reach it. That "nose sound" you've noticed is actually his Southern America accent. It's what makes him sound "Country".

His nasal sound is because that was the style of the original singer so he went for the authentic sound and added his own style!

It doesn't matter what Tim sings and no matter if super low or very high - it's always perfect, the tones clear and clean. What a voice, what a talent! WOW !!! Whenever I think nothing can surprise me anymore, the next killer comes, LOL :-) This is the reason why Tim is my absolute favorite.

SO GOOD! Love that Tim's bringing back doo-wop 🥰 (Now we know what a 5-octave range really sounds like❣️)
And to think he might have gone into dentistry or teaching and we would've missed out on his musical genius 🤯
This is so unbelievably fabulous! I only wish this video didn't fade out before he hits that final high note! I really want to hear his incredible finale to this gorgeous arrangement! ❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️

Another great rendition by Tim Foust. Love his new cd with all the older doo-wop songs. His voice really suits this genre of music. We know he can really bring the bass but how about his falsetto? I have always loved these 2 songs from 1960 "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow" by The Shirelles & "Stay" by Maurice Williams & The Zodiacs.

I think all of the guys in Home Free are really honest genuinely nice guys. That's one of the reasons i love them so much. It's hard to find anyone that talented that doesn't have a big ego to go with it and all of them are very down to earth, no ego human beings. I really enjoy your reactions to Home Free and any member of them separately. Please do more from them.

You might also notice that - whether in live concerts or videos - when Austin reaches for a high note, he pulls his arms down and when Tim is going for an especially high note, he tilts his head to the side. As you said, it's interesting to see the techniques various singers use. Love your analysis & commentary!

P.S. - In an interview Tim said that he encourages bass singers to exercise their higher ranges that it will, overall, improve not just their singing but their bass.

When Tim sang on cruise ships, it was with Home Free. That's where they found Austin. He was in a musical theatre bit on one of the cruises. What beautiful voices God brought together in Home Free. Each member is so incredibly talented. Tim also has a wicked sense of humor. React to Colder Weather Lapse,it's a live version. Watch Tim's eyes when the lapse happens.

Tim started as a tenor, as most young boys do. His voice changed quite a bit during his early teen years more to the bass level. He has said in his tutorials that he works to keep his high range available so he can use it when needed. It is easier for a bass to go high than it is for a tenor to go low. He even tells people he works with to work on their high range in order to keep their low range ready to go. It has something to do with keeping the vocals cords loose for the bass range.

Oh this is a fun one. It’s the old doo wop sound of the 50’s and 60’s. He also does a Beach Boys song, In the Room…it’s so good. Tim is so versatile. He’s just showing off that 5 octave range for you. Good reaction Yuri.

I didn’t take time to read all of the comments so I hope I’m not repeating some else’s. This style of music is from the 1950s-1960s era. If you have time to just relax with something, there is a movie/musical about this type of music called Jersey Boys. It has a lot of musical history in it about the changes to popular music that happened during that timeframe, particularly in the US. I love seeing reactions to this song!
