Isaac sorry you had to deal with all this trouble with the flood you don't deserve this kind of trouble. Just glad you're ok the other stuff can be repaired and cleaned. Your father's memories will always be with you. Just remember all the stuff that he taught you.
I'm sorry this happened to you, Ike. I imagine you were making a mental list of the most precious equipment to the least precious and going from there. I live in salty roads Wisconsin, I might try that salt antidote! I'm also so sorry for the loss of your dad, he certainly brought an awesome set of twins into this world.
Man... to put it lightly, that sucks. Ive helped clean up from a few floods, and its always a bummer. And yeah, you would think the weatherman would be right more often than not, sadly thats not the case. Hope everything works out man, definitely feel for ya.
ahhh shite...........sorry to see you suffering floodage, had a friend deal with it almost yearly for awhile.......good to see it went down fast......air out and open everything up, i mean everything, mold and mildew your next enemy.......much love, many props
if the vehicles run, start em', run the heater on high for hours with the windows barely cracked, used to dry cars quickly this way after detailing and complete interior soaking...........
I hope that saltwater didn't cause too much damage. Most of your vehicles are old enough to not have to worry about too much electronics like body control modules and such. But your wiring and harnesses may end up corroded. Can cause problems years later. Hope the house wasn't flooded too bad. Mold can be an issue as we all know. Air it all out well. Best of luck to you man. Glad YOU are ok!
So sorry you all got the brunt of Ophelia. It's a hit or miss here on the coast of NC, I'm sure you know. I'm glad it wasn't worse, it can always be (H Florence). Stay safe and hoping for the best.
Bummer !! And the worst of it, you've been thru this before, although with a little bit of warning! Sure hope your losses were minimal, & my continued prayers the rest of them stay out at sea farther. Thanx !
Sorry for the mess you're going through. When you were cleaning the under side of your vehicles. I was thinking that you could used a surface cleaner attachment on the pressure washer. Just turn it over so its upside down. It might be easier. Just a suggestion. Hope everything works out for you! 20:17
hey Isaac, so sorry to hear about your dad. my buddy's dad just died today and I knew him pretty darn well, I can't say i know what you're going through but i do know at the same time. sending lot's of love to you.
l ll be remembering you in our daily prayers along with the others effected . heads up you cant be beat unless you quit trying to win. love your show brother.
Dude, I physically feel sick to my stomach after seeing everything that you could possibly lose there. The work you're going to have to do just to make things the way they were before the flooding. If I lived in the US and close by I'd do everything I could to help you recover from this. Your attitude towards it all is incredible. It's obvious that you're upset about the whole ordeal but man, you have such a wonderful outlook and attitude in general. It's really nice to see. Hope thigs turn around for you there. It's to bad there wasn't something you could do to prevent this from happening in the future. Take care and as always please keep safe as well.
Man....Isaac seems like you had some good luck with the auction jeep and the other jeep you had great deals on ...then the other side of luck bit you on the flood..I am just glad you are safe..u were smart enough to get out before the worst...stuff can be replaced although it can be heartbreaking and hard wotk...but you got that covered as we see every week...head up homie!!
We have the TJ onwards Jeeps imported into Australia, I picked up one second hand around 5 years ago. Found the chassis was stuffed from rust, have since found out, the TJ lowest part of the chassis rail has no drain holes, if doing off road work, the lower chassis fills up with junk and rusts from the inside out. Drill some holes and regularly wash out the inside of the rails. They must be stuffed in months if used in the rust belt area over there.
That's rough, I'm so sorry man. 💚 FWIW we salt our roads heavily here in the UK and rust isn't a huge problem on modern cars, like 90's onwards. A good jet wash underneath in the spring and clearing out the mud and grit from the inside edges of the wheel arches seems to be sufficient. I bought a cheap, J shaped pressure washer lance on ebay fo make it easier. The soda bicarb to neutralise the acid is a nice touch though. Good luck.
I'm glad you are OK. You need a parking deck. When you were mixing the baking soda, the measurements kept getting larger, hilarious. Even in bad times, you still entertain.
Im glad that you are ok Ike. As far as your vehicles etc, I so get how you feel about them and won't give you the "well at least" cliche bs. Keep safe and next time just go, I don't need to see the escape like Dorothy. LoL Only thing missing was toto almost.
I hope it all works out Issac. My son got flooded out in Vermont with 4’ of water in the house. I drove up to help him gut the house. Water damage sucks.
If that Envoy or any other vehicle has a bulkhead harness under the seats passing through the floor, be sure to pull them, and hose them out with electronics cleaner.
So sorry about all the losses 💖 from Canada where we don't get flooded and genuinely curious how it works with insurance? Up here if a car gets written off we can do a buy-back at scrap value from the insurance company and choose to restore the vehicle ourselves, keeping the difference. Would be amazing to see a series powered by those funds restoring all of those vehicles!
Sorry for your trials.. in the army, we used a garden sprayer filled with old sump oil thinned with petrol to protect our vehicles underside after salty excursions..
Don't turn on the heat once it reaches 100% humidity no more water will come out. The Air-conditioning will act like a dehumidifier and start removing the moisture out of the house. Add a couple more dehumidifiers and fans to stir the air and the sooner the better. Good luck.
Man I feel for you man. I really do and that's gotta suck so bad. I know it's easy to say you should move to a lower risk area but life isn't always that easy. We love to have you here in Good Ole Wisconsin
They would have to build up the whole property and jack up the house. When you're low you're low, there isn't any way to fix it unless you're spending millions.
I would think all of the mechanical stuff is salvageable if you can keep going through all the maintenance. Lot of work but at least there's hope. Sorry you had to go through all that but glad you're okay.
Wow! I can't believe how fast it came up and then went... was it tidal mixed with heavy rain that caused it? So happy to see that things might not have been as badly damaged as you first thought- fingers crossed. If I lived in the area I'd be right there to give you a hand with the house.... if there's one thing I know how to do it's clean and repair after flooding- Hugs mate x
@@connection_enterrupted7331 Thank you... we don't get weather like that over here. High winds & high tides means we have what we jokingly call "the car wash" on the coast road and it becomes dangerously impassable with large rocks flying. Luckily we have another road in land on top of a ruddy great hill and if that floods we'd all be screwed!
Sorry to see this Isaac. Hurricane ike ruined my home in Texas back 2008, hurricane Harvey took my home and 2 trucks, in 2017. so I understand what your going through. Hope the best and fast recovery with minimal damage.
That sucks bro, your alright thats the main thing, as for the rest of the stuff its some what replaceable or salvageable. Seen the last bit of the vid, sorry for your loss of your father? Sorry I don't hear too well it sounded like it was your father. If so I lost mine almost 20yrs ago. Stay strong my friend! Great vids as always!
I feel for ya, I live in Polk county Florida and in 04 we had 3 hurricanes and after Charlie I had water waist high in my house, Then in 2017 we had Irma and I lost 4 sweet gum trees, They were about 70 feet tall, Then another one last year!!!
Thank the powers to be that you were able to walk away from that. This sort of thing happens regularly in North Queensland, Australia. With your skill nothing permanently broken. Just needs someTLC
Ike, you'll still have some water in the Hyd fluid on your Log Splitter. The ram and hoses/lines were full of the watered oil and it's cycled back into the tank. You can always loosen the drain plug before you use it and drain most of the water out since it will settle to the bottom. On an engine the heat will evaporate the rest of the water as long as it's not excessive but Hyd need to be cycled.
Really sorry this happened to you. I also used to R&R in a shop that rebuilt transmissions in house and learned that the friction material inside of them are adhered to the backing plates using a water based adhesive so your trans is likely ruined.
Dang, that sucks man. Sorry to hear that. At least you were able to save just about everything, though it took some work. Best wishes, glad you're okay!
Might be worth building a raised parking area out there to keep the collection high & dry, just pile up a load of rubble, gravel & whatever & flatten off to make a ramped area with a good couple feet of height above ground level so cars are a high enough point that they stay out of the water, even if it's just an inch or two above a known flood height, it'd save a lot of trouble in the long run, as for the house, short of building a levy around the place, that's a tough one to save, especially if the water just seeps up through the ground anyway...
So sorry to hear about your getting flooded out again John. Maybe you could look into building up a spot in your yard with a couple or three feet of fill dirt, just to give you a high spot for your vehicles? Good luck.
Isaac so sorry you have to deal with all that man thank God you're okay and your house only had minor flooding those vehicles and Equipment can possibly be fixed or even replaced if necessary but at least you're okay, things could have been even worse.
If I were closer I'd be happy to give you a hand. Heck your john deere I bet will be fine as long as ya change all the fluids it should be good. If you need a hand with it let me know. Sorry to see all the mess from the storm.
I'm sorry man, I hope you didn't lose too. Much, you're a good dude that works hard. You don't deserve to have to worry about that. So I hope the loss was minimum. An the Kaiser will survive
You made out fine. A little bit of drying, some cleaning, some oil changes and you will be golden. Look at the wonderful content Mother Nature has provided for you. You might want to start thinking about higher ground some where for your more valuable items though because it’s not the last time it will flood. You are right at sea level.
As long as the water didn't reach the air filter. Your vehicles should be fine. Floor boards can be vacuumed and dried. Although I had a vehicle get submerged once and all I did was drain oil, transmission pan, removed spark plugs, cranked it a few times, put new fluids and spark plugs in. Turned out fine. 15 years later and the engine finally quit back in August.
Sorry for the loss where did the three wheeler go when I was 16 me and a buddy pulled a 3 wheeler from a creek rode it for a couple years but never found an owner
Sorry about your flooding issues Isaac. I hope things dry out quickly for you, with minimal damage.
I'm really sorry for that. I wish you all the best. Greetings from Germany.

Damn Buddy I hate to hear about the flooding, so glad you are OK!
Glad you were able to get out safely and that your stuff was reasonably intact.
Sad to see the flooding damage glad to see you taking corrective action you got the log splitter running I'm sure you will deal with the rest.
Sorry to see that Ophelia hit you pretty hard, Isaac. Great to see you taking it so well and working hard to minimize the damage.
I appreciate that!

Ike is a millionaire 😂

You can probably use a carpet vacuum to clean up the interiors or maybe a shop vac to suck up the water
Glad your safe bro seen the preview from cc was waiting for it to drop stay positive man u got this ike legend
Damn Isaac that sucks bud, Good luck with the clean up.
The only issue I see with using transmission fluid, is it could be too thin when it gets warm and it may not have the same splitting power as before.
I guess times like these make me thankful we don't get flood like this where I'm at.
I love you’re jeep brotha🤘
