Even more mechanical videos of Ike would be great... to me he's the American version of Edd China because he shows and explains what he does... more Ike's adventures please :)
I literally just got done making potato salad, I do mine wayyyy differnt. But still an awsome recipe. I put pickeled mustard eggs in mine and, vinegar, miracle whip, sugar, seasoning, like creole mustard, celery seed, I also use paprika. But other than those things I make it just like yours.
This is awsome ike! I like the fact that your sharing the cooking but I also like the fact that you showed us your home. So many people on you tube show a nice, clean, and organized house that is well painted and maintained and looks like it was built yesterday. But that is not how life is. Most of us have houses like yours. We don't paint it every fucking year, we don't scrub down the fucking walls, and the biggest thing, quite often we just don't organize shit XD. I like it, its refreshing to see. Thanks Ike!
My house is 50 years old and it fucking shows it. No one keeps perfect condition of there house. Most people are like me, just makes sure that it doesn't rot away XD
you'd probably enjoy my videos then, real kitchen with too much clutter and a whole in the ceiling my son aint got around to fixin, yard with too much stuff and too many weeds..but but this fat old man can throw down some chow..
Oh Hell Yea!!! Fantastic job Ike! you actually did a convincing cooking show of a dish that Everyone eats, and you shared a piece of yourself in this video, which Always feeds the human interest aspect. And besides, gearheads like food too! Keep up the great work Ike, total fan here, I like your style. Yea, thank you Ike!
Whenever I see an "Ike's Adventures" video pop up, I know it's going to be something off beat and probably cool. This was cool. Now I need to invest in a supply of compostable cutting boards...
Hey Ike watching you cook is a bit like watching Bob Ross paint, nice and relaxing. Best of all you could do it too...but probably won't. Nice work and I'll keep watching you and John do your thing. thanks and keep up the good work guys!
Will vlasic dill work in place of the sweet? Working on my classic 1970 tater salad recipe and I was thinking about modifying it. Can I get a part number on those?
You boys need a stainless prep table. Mine is roughly 6'x3', has a shelf on the bottom, and is on casters. It was $120 at Sam's Club. I liked it so much I bought 2 more smaller ones to put my microwave and a small convection oven on. EVERYONE that sees it absolutely loves it and thinks its way more expensive than it was.
Tried potato salad, seems like a great old skool recipe. Tasted amazing. should be new slot, 'Ike's Bites'. Greetings from the UK. Think about doing, paddle brakes on 4wd cart. Keep up good work. And use a raspberry pi with fly-by-wire throttling: can adjust power distribution f:r.
*FULL RECIPE* (Tell me if anything needs to be changed or added) Ingredients: 3 Large baking potatoes 1cup of chopped Vlasic Sweet Midgets 1tsp of salt About 5 staks of celery 1/2 white onion 15oz of Hellmann's mayo Paprika (optional) Skin potatoes. chop into small cubes. Fill pot with water, until tops are covered. Add 1tsp to pot. Boil for 10 minutes. While boiling, cut pickles. Cut celery into 4 strips and chop finely. Strain boiled potatoes. Add pickles to potatoes. Chop white onion in 1/2 and then fine chunks. Add 2 1/4cup to 2 1/2cup of celery. Add onion to mix. Mix 15oz of mayo into the rest of ingredients. Mix thoroughly (Might get messy but It'll be fine). Before serving, add paprika.
I think it's cool you did a cooking video, it's your channel is real fans are gonna be down for whatever that's positive that you do. Also I'm ready to try out the recipe!!!!!
Recipe seems familiar to our family "heritage" version. Save the absense of diced hard boiled eggs and last shake of parsely flakes for contrast with paprika. For those not in the know: "Helmans" and "Best Foods" are identical. Just marketed on different sides of country under different names.
People hating on the knife and cutting board thing must not cook that much... the small knife is a paring knife meant for peeling and cutting fruits and veggies in your hands, and has anyone ever tried washing a cutting board bigger than a plate in a small sink... we'll it's a pain in the butt. You go Ike, haters don't know taters.
I just got a go cart that hasn't been started for a year and a half and we got it running in an hour using a drill instead of a pull start it has a sort of roll cage with a 5 and a half horsepower engine any tips on how to maintain it and any modifications I should make it has two lights a horn and an extra foot to my left side where I sit(the extra foot goes from the seat all the way to the front so about 2 square feet)
Cars and Cameras taking it to a whole nother level. Thanks for making the video! Got to give you credit: other YT channels wouldn't have the balls to make a video like this. Issac, if you send me your address I'll send you a couple cutting boards, just saying. One other thing, the measuring cup you are using is intended for liquid ingredients, the onion, celery, and pickles are usually consider dry ingredients and typically you would want to use dry measuring cups. Really doesn't matter with your recipe but in other recipes it might. Thanks!
Some of the greatest mechanics are also the greatest cooks. I think it's something to do with working with your hands to create something that you can enjoy, just like building a model A, it's a creative thing, and it will be fine!
I have a potato salad recipe that I got from my mom, that combines all the best features of an egg-style potato salad, a mustard-style potato salad, and a sweet pickle potato salad. It makes something like *30* servings, something like a gallon worth of the stuff all told. Sometimes, that's just too much, and I wind up with gobs of leftovers. I would make smaller batches, but the spice balance has been off every time I've tried it. Other than salt, spices just don't scale linearly with other ingredient quantities. And I can't easily test it by iteration since this recipe involves letting the final product chill in the refrigerator for a minimum of 2 hours for the flavors to meld.
Great video Ike! Your cooking reminds me of my grandfather... No cutting boards or anything fancy, just a paper plate, some plastic forks, and a knife that I'd probably really dull but it'll be fine
Yum Ike and I bet that full bowl didnt make it to the event (you ate some more didn't you ?) I will be trying that one next time I cook spuds thanks for the recipe
Dude best Tatar salad ever lol I just started watching you guys I'm hooked y'all rock Issac my fav he don't care what he ride n / driving he always just lets it eat big fan
It’s all good buddy. Looks delicious. I find it interesting that your cutting board is a paper plate the fork is plastic. It’s also good to hear that you took care of a nice elderly woman.
Good that there is Mayonaise in it. As a matter of principle I don't make or eat any kinds of Potatosalad without Mayonaise. This Salad seems to be similar to mine but I don't use Sellerie. On Top of that I like bigger pieces of Potato and chop them after cooking and I make my Mayonaise myself it just tastes better than bought one.
You can get Shun kitchen knives from you Snap On dealer. I have for years. These are boutique, top shelf, cutlery. They are an extension of Kershaw knives. top shelf cutlery for sure. Check it out.
i didnt mind this at all. Ike you are so busy all the time working on other folks items. It would be good to see a video of you throwing some paint on that house of yours. seems like its got some cool history too it. but would like to see you take care of that wood house. Good luck guys! enjoying the content for sure.
Dude i wouldn't mind watching you cook all day long

"Hey Isaac, what are we going to do about dessert?!" Ike: "It'll be pie."
😂

Is it just me or is Ike someone you could just sit down a talk with for hours? Real cool guy.
Will vlasic dill work in place of the sweet? Working on my classic 1970 tater salad recipe and I was thinking about modifying it. Can I get a part number on those?
right on dude. thank I will try it. never cooked before. it'll be fine right. thank you.
This is obviously the best cars and cameras content. I will only watch cars and cameras for the cooking videos.
Hey Ike, Add about 3 chopped up hard boiled eggs!
and some ground mustard seed
fornula celery salt makes a good potato salad.
and spring onion radish slices on top and hard boiled eggs and mash the potatos
and garlic salt or garlic powder just gives it a yummy taste
Kind of jealous of that kitchen... wish I could go back to the days of being single.
You're not kidding... I have 15 feet of counter space and the same amount of work space as him. LOL

This is better than most things on cooking shows!
We need a shirt that just says "Man that's some good potato salad..."
I didn't see/hear mention of any seasonings. I would assume salt/pepper... anything else?
Awesome recipe, and the kitchen is pretty cool too! Have a good day, Ike!
Issac!! Your videos are awesome! Always look forward to them cheers
Never thought I'd find a recipe for potato salad on this channel. I'll give that a try next time I go to a party.

I like this! it's something we don't see everyday on a car channel, and it's pretty unique. It's gonna be fine.😋
Some of the greatest mechanics are also the greatest cooks. I think it's something to do with working with your hands to create something that you can enjoy, just like building a model A, it's a creative thing, and it will be fine!
yummy. i am going to make this
I put all the same ingredients in my potato salad.... But I also use a couple hard boil eggs chopped nice 👌.......JJ...
