As a marine electrician for 40 years now I say I am impressed with this wonderful yacht.
On the Engine room door is a space for dropping a clipboard or binder. This would be for keeping your daily logs when entering the engine room for any maintenance or just to record a walk through inspection.
💯
Center rigger is called a "shotgun" line
Thanks for sharing Chloe
Whoever redid that boat nailed it! Well except the crew bath and area lol. But it looks fantastic. You could raise a family of 6 in there.
Gotta say i did not expect that interior... stunning
Happy to hear! What did you like about it the most?
The box on the lower part of the engine room door is for holding your daily running logs for the engine room.
Thanks for the insight!
kind of like what i said, but i guessed and compared it to a pre-trip log of a class a commercial simi-truck
I KNEW IT! Lol
SSB is single side band... a long range radio. We used to use them on tugboats to make radio call into the main office before cell phones came out.
Thank you so much for sharing!
That’s right. The standard ship to shore telephone systems utilizing single side band radio utilizing the AT&T high seas service.
🙌🙌
Single side band radio is a development of AM HF radio, SSB is actually a form of modulation that increases the efficiency of the signal. With full AM modulation you have a center carrier wave and an upper and lower sideband on either side which can be observed with an oscilloscope. With SSB the center carrier wave and either one of the sidebands is suppressed and the entire signal is carried in the upper or lower sideband. By having the entire signal carried in a single side band you effectively increase the range of the signal. It is similar to using a pressure nozzle on your garden hose, it restricts the larger stream into smaller stream that can reach much further distances.
@@ChrisHarding-lk3jj That's not entirely accurate, when you use SSB radio you can place two channels on one frequency, you modulate one sideband, say upper for one vessel to use the channel, and another vessel can use the same channel but on the lower side band, this allows two simultaneous and independent calls on the same carrier frequency, therefore effectively doubling the capacity of the radio frequenc band in use. Let's say you want to call someone on a specific frequency band that has a 50KHz channel spacing. With normal AM radio you can have two channels in the space of 100KHz for conversations. But using single side band you can have 4 conversations on that same 100Khz space of the spectrum. Doubling the number of actual comms channels within a frequency band.
I was an ET, Electronics Technician in the USCG, I repaired every piece of electronics aboard the vessel upon which I was stationed. We had a pair of 150 watt SSB transceivers aboard and I spent many hours on them trying to keep them working at optimum capability.
The distance you can cover with a radio is dependent on a few things, the effective radiated output power of the transmitter final amplifier, the efficiency and gain of the antenna and the standing wave ratio of the tranmission line that connects the transmitter output to the antenna input. It is also dependent on the wavelength of the frequency band you are using. The longer the wave (lower the frequency) the more distance you can cover, plus the altitude of the ionosphere and the number of layers of it, will have an effect on how much extra distance you can cover using a technique called skip.
Conservation is right up my alley, my Great Uncle oversaw the creation of the Lakefield National Park in North Queensland Australia 🇦🇺 ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Whoaaaa! That's amazing! 🤯🤯🤯
Aw. Very cool 😎!
❤
Do it with your own money and assets. It's easy to use other people's assets for personal projects.
🙌🙌🙌
@valt7366 - take a Xanax*
Ocean conservation, that’s like the charity that adds water to the ocean
Lol
Yes, its about the money, not the ocean. Someone is tired of paying the monthly maintenance on this beast and wants to get a tax write off based on some inflated value that it is not ever going to sell for.
I think the holder on the watertight door is for your engineer daily log. Amazing boat . The interior is not what I expected. Thanks 🙏
100% this. I'm a submarine nuclear engineer & logs are key to any engineering professional.
Yes, that's where the short service/schedule log is kept. You gotta know that these engines are driven hard. You ain't catching fish at the dock.
Thanks for the insight guys! 🙏🏻💙⚓️
What an amazing interior. I was a little disappointed in not seeing the watch tower. 😂
Safety first 🤪🤣
"Tuna tower"
I would call it the margarita tower. Beautiful yacht though.
@@ralphdeshon9710 yup. Was having a seniors moment, and just couldn’t think of the proper name.
Please forgive me. 😔
I'd do it in dead calm like that but no way I'm doing that with any sort of roll on the boat!
10:19 That makes a HUGE amount of sense. 90% of the time outside of startup/shutdown you wouldn't need to keep a super close eye on the engine monitors. So you could hide them away unless an "idiot light" triggers an alarm.
My major complaint about a "sport fisher" styled boat is the lack of a railing as you move along the side of the boat, Victoria, I'm SO glad you seem to share that gripe!
My major gripe with this particular video is not seeing Victoria climbing up the tuna tower. Sorry Rico, for ME at least you don't hold the same attraction!
There is a railing to hold on to on the sides that make you feel pretty secure but thanks for sharing!
@NautiStyles, I have a request. Would you kindly put this video on a repeating loop? This 80 ft. Live-a-board is my dream home. I can’t afford the price, but I would love to fall asleep dreaming about it. Dreaming I’d be the Captain and my deserving crew would have the other 2 staterooms; I’d use the Crew Quarters for paying guests, and that money would be used to pay for the gas. Thank you, Victoria and Rico for all of your amazing videos!
awww you are tooo kind 🙏🏼💙
Wow, very clean boat. Awesome, I really really enjoy watching you, ladies and gentlemen you are fantastic 😀😀✨
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for hanging with us!
Awesome boat. Very nice and well planned out. Thanks for sharing.
Yous are the cape crewsaters of yachting! God Bless yous both! Love all of your representation of all of these beautiful yacht's!!
Thank yous 🙏🏻💙⚓️
Another great tour. Thank you! Love you guys! 🤩😍😘
Thanks for watching! See you next weekend!!
The spot on the engine room door looks like a document holder. In the Army we had those (higher up) on doors such as to the Armory. Duty personnel would record their checks, and if someone went inside they would record when they entered and left. On a boat I would imagine keeping record of periodic checks.
Whoaaaa! Thanks for the insight!! 🙏🏻💙⚓️
Victoria, not to disappoint you, but those huge master cabinets were initially for Rod Storage not for wife's clothing. On a sportfish, it's a very important feature and the further hidden and locked-away the better. Each rod/reel can be worth hundreds of dollars and a sportfish that big will probably need 16-20 of them just for trolling.
" hundreds of dollars " are you for real? One deep drop reel costs $6k +
@@Matthew-wn8oqwhy I fish fresh water. $300 for a nice bait caster
@@jimsteinway695 does that look like a bass boat to you?

I enjoy learning so much from the channel and chat column
Thanks guy's, as always I love your work! For the algorithm!!
Much appreciated!
Great job as always. Not my cup of tea but, the interior was on point. Thanks for continuing to bring us great content. Thanks for sharing.
Awww thank you so much!
My favorite pillow is back @ 15:27! Love it and you guys! 🤩😍😘
Somehow every boat has this pillow!! 🤣🤪
Love your channel, love your commentary. Y'all are a 5 star team!!
So Wise , Thank You .Looks like A fine well designed Sport Fisher , looks like descent range, and a worthy cause
Glad you enjoyed this one!!
Wow! Just wow! That's no boat that's a ship! Enjoying your channel well done you guys, thanks!
I would rather land on my head in the water than land on my shoulder on the dock. The mystery Furuno is a Single Side Band radio. Can you imagine how much fun it would be to dive from the tower? REALLY nice boat, living aboard would be a dream come true.
Very interesting, I’ve never seen an enclosed pilot house on an open bridge! Very cool sport-fish and great video!
I have been watching your channel for about a year. And this is one of the nicer boats I've seen. It is absolutely spectacular in all aspects.
Very beautiful
Thank you very much!
You guys are awesome and thank you!
You are! 🩵🩵
Loving your guys' channel. I've been watching a long time. I've been landlocked all my life and have only been to the beach twice in my life. It would be a dream to live on the water. Congrats on your B80 and I look forward to all of your future videos. It would be amazing to experience that lifestyle even for a day. I can't even imagine.
Awww thank you so much for the kind words - we truly appreciate you!
That interior is amazing! Wow! Love the open feel! 👍👍

Never should have sold my bayliner ! Everytime u guys vids pop u i miss having a boat that i would stay on for a weekend or if im was having too much fun maybe a week , would love to be able to afford to stay out and live on a nice boat 🛥
What an interesting yacht and interior layout. Also understand now how you both stay in shape doing parcour excersizes over these boats !
🤣🤣🤣 Thanks for watching!!
Thanks for the like button info that was helpful for all the channels I watch too know it's better to wait until the middle. I always did right off so I did not forget. Also Love this concept for boat ownership. Really cool idea.
Sooo happy to hear!
Vic and Donzi.....be still my heart

I really love this sport fisher...very nice indeed. Thanks kids.
We appreciate you Alan! Have a great weekend!! 💙💙
23:20 That flap is for engine service documents, repair logs, usage logs, fuel usage logs, and certifications for the engines.
Another interesting review. The flooding suction at the end - is called "Emergency Bilge Injection"
Thank you so much for sharing!
The interior is really nice. Great review.
Thank you so much!
Thanks for the tip about when to like the video.
You bet! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🩵
I’m loving this boat
Glad you loved this one! Make sure to share with all your Nauti People!! 🙏🏻💙⚓️
The furono MF/HF Single Side Band radio telephone ? I do not recognize this model but the system was fairly widely used before satcom made it's entry .
🙏🏼
All fun an games until you pull up for a $20k fuel bill.
That part!!
Every repair bill is $20k
Just leave it docked and live on it. no fuel bill.
@@Theaddmandock fees insurance and storms. Will cost you.
Back in the day, one of my friends had a Donzi powerboat. It was really nice...but, that boat was a money pit...big time !! Even when it wasn't in need of some repair, it still had huge operating costs for just 1/2 of a Saturday on the lake. 😁🚤
That’s a really cool yacht!! Love the design of it and the color scheme! I can imagine it being an excellent live aboard yacht!! 👍👍
couldn't agree more
Where do you put the fish you catch? Just asking. What $s for this boat? Beautiful boat! Entertaining tour! You guys are great as always!
I really enjoy your videos. I always wonder what these yachts look like on the inside. You could definitely live full time on these yachts 😊
Glad you like them!
Great video. Thanks.
Glad you liked it!
Your video's are so entertaining funny and informative. First seen you 2 on Producer Michael's video's. You should do more video's with him.
Thank you for the heads up. I definitely want to know more about this vessel
More info in the description! 🙏🏻⚓️
I believe the pocket on the engine room door is for a fire axe not the handle strap above .
You gotta love Victoria’s back up

Thanks for the entertainment.👍😁
I really like this boat, the interior was a big surprise when you first walked in the door, I was thinking wow look at that open floor, its perfect for a classroom to teach others what they will need to know when going fishing in the ocean. I wonder how much it would cost to lease vs to buy this boat. Buying up several 20 year old boats and using them for fishing tours in the Florida waters and to the Bahamas would be a great job for retired old water dogs. If I was to have a fishing boat that took others out deep sea fishing, I'd definitely have a video for the people to see that taught them correct way to tie the knots and how to do their own rigging on their lines before going fishing. I have always wanted to teach others things that they are able to teach others when they are older. Passing knowledge is the best way of keeping it alive years from now. Im happy to say i have taught many others the proper way to hunt and fish when I was younger and now being older i get to think about how many people have the knowledge I have shared instead of keeping it all to myself. I've never been a greedy person and I have always wanted to teach others the correct way and I know those i taught will pass on what they learned from me and thats awesome to give such a gift to others. Share the Love, because love is the glue that holds everything together in our Universe.
That's amazing! Thank you for sharing! 💙⚓️

I so like the interaction between you two and when Victoria was in the port side vip cabin to see the drawers under the bed she just ripped up the linen. Thanks for a great overview of the boat.
No storage goes unnoticed! 🤪🤣🙏🏻
Stunning interior! Whoever did the refit outdid themselves! Another Gold Standard Yacht Tour from Team Victoria & Rico! Can't wait to see the maiden voyage of your Bering! (Note to passengers-might want to bring hearing protection because Rico's sound system will exceed safe decibel levels-just kidding, but you never know)
🤣🤪 you already know!!
that is a really nice fishing boat that you could take on a 3 hour tour .. a 3 hour tour.. wait, we've seen that show before lol ... seriously it is really nice on the inside and has some good room on the outside.
Glad you enjoyed! Thanks for sharing!
Cosplish is used in the military for their galleys and this is the first sport fish boat I have seen with it. Very very expensive. This boat is worth every dime if it is foe sale.

First time I have actually liked a sport fishing boat, the remodel was very well done.

Love you guys channel and great video!!! It seems that through the quizzes given in this video, the co-star is making sure that the star is not a "coaster"! LOLOLOLOL

Midship or mid rigger. Omg!! When you went inside her, I could not believe how beautiful she is! I could easily live on her with Gunny the Great Dane. I really like this boat! Thank you for pleasantly surprising me. I almost passed on watching because of the outside.

I would think the slot holder on the outside of the engine room door would be to hold the logs for your hourly checks of the engines.. There should also be a place to put ear muffs after all those engines would be fairly noisy when going. Thanks for the video.

I aam not into owning a boat but rent one with crew would be fun. But 2 years ago your channel came up in my fees and i tought "hey, lets give it a chaance" Still here :) because i like the way you are and presenting your videos..
Greetings from Oslo, Norway
Awwww thank you for the kind words Gibbs
I have watched your channel extensively. I was born in Miami and raised in Sarasota, and my family spent many, many hours on boats. I now live in Dallas, many miles from the Ocean or Gulf but I have a practical suggestion for boat owners. I have a counter top composter that I use to compost all kitchen organic. It doesn’t make biologically active compost but it does take most organic kitchen waste, dry it and grind it and reduce the volume to about 10% of the original volume. It also takes organic waste and makes waste that will take much. much longer to degrade. while stored (I store mine in a sealed container in the freezer). The end result is the my regular trash waste, although I do recycle separately, is mostly plastic and paper that can’t be recycled. On a yacht you might add the composted material to the compactor, but the end result is still much less waste, no need for a kitchen disposal, and waste that has a much lower probability to produce unwanted odors. I’m not sure why I don’t see these countertop composters on yachts with available AC. I might also mention that I run my composter every 2-3 days for 2 hours, and I cook every day. Just something to consider. Scott in Dallas.
Great suggestion Scott! Thanks for sharing!
I like because of Victoria, sub because of Rico and enjoy doing it because of the content provided :)
(this boat looks really nice and she doesn't look like a 2000 boat!!)
Thank you
😝🎉🩵
The holder on the engine room hatch is for an axe blade. There is a strap up from there for the handle.
👌🏼
This is a beautiful sport fish. I just kept thinking as you gave the tour about what would happen to all the decorative knick knacks that i saw on on the shelves as soon as you went through Jupiter Inlet.
Definitely need to put things away & make sure loose ends are tied down before going underway! 🤪🤪
The slot at the bottom of the door I would use it for maintenance log book
💙
lovely!
bottom of door is for clip board sign off sheet checklist etc
Thanks for sharing!
Rico and Victoria, I was unaware that Donzi made a sport Fisher that size. I used to work at Teakdecking Systems, about half a mile from where Donzi was located in Sarasota.
You learn something new everyday!! 🙌🤪
Different Donzi
very nice feature on the engine water intakes. I saved a 65 ft Viking back in 1995 using the engines. We were offshore diving and heard their distress call on the radio while taking a break. Ran over to them. By the time I got in the engine room the water was halfway up the blocks. We had to close the valves and remove the intake hoses to make the engines pump out water. It would have been so nice to have this setup. After that I installed the valves on my boat. You would think it would be more common.
I had a Halverson Viking 40, same setup and I also don't know why everyone doesn't have it.
Stunning tour guide
Thanksssss
Beautiful Donzi!!!
