- Suh dudes! We visited Hersheypark for CocoaCon, an event held by the American Coaster Enthusiasts (Eastern Pennsylvania Region)! It was a great day! Skyrush reopened, I finally got to ride Candymonium, the coaster event was fantastic, and the park was absolutely swarmed with Lantern Flies!!

I had to do a doubletake when I heard the Rollercoaster Tycoon stock crowd effect during the first part of the video!
I genuinely laughed at that sound effect.

Tip for stomping the lantern flies for everyone: go around in front them before you stomp. They have hella fast reflections so you can only get them 10% of the time if you try to stomp them while standing behind them. But since they can only jump forwards, if you go around so that you’re standing in front of the lantern fly when you stomp it, you can get them 95% of the time.

I agree with Uncle Nate. Fahrenheit's finale is great! That airtime hill is insane because it catches you off guard the first time you ride it! 😂

Candymonium is really good, I was surprised by how strong the airtime is. I think B&M really got the transitions right on it because they whip you around more than some of the more drawn out ones of the past. I rode it in 48 degree weather a couple weeks ago and it was still running with plenty of speed! The trims didn't hit as much either so that was a bonus.

10:13 Although I was 14 when I last rode it (I’m 18 now), Skyrush’s restraints didn’t hurt me. I definitely want to try it again and see if I fare worse, though.

Hershey is so good with the new front of the park additions. They have a number of options for a big new coaster in the next few years as well

Spotted lanternfly is the scariest part of this park
Farenheit's ending always ends me with nausea 😆 but I still ride it cause its so cool. but glad to see candy and sky rush and storm runner getting some love. All of them kick ass
the bugs here were crazy but my friends and i went to six flags america when the cicadas were super bad in maryland and oh my god it was horrible. i was standing between ride of steel and batwing, but all i could hear was the cicadas

2 weekend ago when the park was closed getting ready for “Hersheypark in the Dark,” Hersheypark power washed and killed all of those little devils 😈

OMG I was there on that day! Plus it was my birthday!! It is sad that I didn't meet you, but either way it was one of the best trips I took there so Im happy.

in 2021 hersheypark was kicking ass. got my best rides on all the coasters there this year. skyrush became my number 1 coaster till i got jersey devil in september. already had all the credits since 2020. hershy is on fire. i also got on skyrush maybe a day or 2 before it closed. and got to great adventure maybe 2 or 3 days after toro closed. i cant have 2 intamins.

GAHHHHH! I loved watching this! I went to Hersheypark for the first time back in June on a drizzly, wet, and miserable day so it was nice to see that y'all had a nice, sunny day to enjoy the park. I still barely got all of my coasters in though. SkyRush was down due to a wet track nearly all day but was able to re-open at the VERY end of the day. (This was before its lift hill broke) This was ALSO the day that Storm Runner opened back up to the GP after being down for TWO YEARS. I thanked the Coaster Gods for this one!! :)

I went to Kings Island 2x during the cicada invasion, I didn't see a single one in the park...but have also been to Cedar Point during mayfly season too, very horrible. Keep up the great vids!

I got on Fahrenheit and Candy (and Trailblazer and Wild Mouse) for the first time on opening night of HP in the Dark this year. Fahrenheit oddly reminded me of Raptor at Cedar Point (at least my row 6 ride, my row 4 ride was rough yet hauling). My last ride on Nitro was Holiday in the Park 2019 and I'd take it over my solo front row ride on Candy (then again I think the nitro ride was near the back). The turn before the Kisses Fountain was the best part for me personally, Kisses fountain area itself is a blur
I found red/Lightning to be more forceful/rough, but Green seemed to be running faster/winning. Only ride I got that night that was not a new cred. Possibly had those creds as far back as 2015, but sealed both in 2017
Thing is I don't have a vlog because Sarah said ridding a B&M in a skirt is a whole other level so I wore my kilt to the park, then I decided not to wear the belt because it has a pouch called a Sporan and I wasn't sure how that would affect some restraints even if I adjusted it to one side so my mom just sat outside Cupfusion (which I haven't ridden yet) while I knocked out Trailblazer, Wild Mouse, Lightning Racer, and Fahrenheit (although I gave her my glasses before Fahrenheit because it goes upside down). Still have an interesting video coming out on Halloween mang
Got back into my rollercoaster phase this fall, gonna be goin going here, cedar point and kings island next year. Buying a season pass for Kennywood too as it's in my backyad, gonna be there all 2022. I think Ravens fans trolled the contest and had outnumbered anyone in Pitt aware of the paint color contest. Ugh I already miss the classic teal....

Heh! Very happy how your day turned out at the sweetest place earth! But there's one thing I wish you would've done: Next time on Skyrush, sit on the middle seats in the back row and just lift up that bar before the employees check your restraint. And when the ride starts its full circuit, keep it up as high as possible. That's give you more of the power and less of the pain that is SKYRUSH. Don't forget about night rides, either.

Watching this hurts my heart. I'd never been to Hersheypark before. Travelled by plane just over a month ago and hit up a few different parks including this one just to find out Skyrush and Fahrenheit were down. Maybe next year 😞

I literally got an airtime thrills notification when ryan said "are you subscribed to airtime thrills" lol.
I kind of am, I feel like as a floorless it's just kind of lacking the vibe it would have as a stand-up; it definitely feels like it was designed to be a stand-up (maybe cause it was 🤪😂😂) wish I would have gotten a chance to experience it in its original form..
El Toro Wifey is on the same trajectory that my wife was on with coasters, going from comet at Hershey park being her favorite coaster to eventually marathoning fury 325 with me 😂😂

@@CoasterKing605 what exactly do you prefer about Kings Island. I would really like to ride I305, more so than Orion for example. Maybe other qualities about the park are better idk. As Phantasialand is my home park I do value the overall experience and quality theming to a high degree as well.
@@mariuscannaka8940 well Kings Island has a really nice atmosphere, amazing and friendly staff, and world-class operations, and that is not to even mention their amazing lineup, with Mystic Timbers, my favorite GCI, Diamondback, one of the best hypers, Orion, one of the best gigas, the Beast, which gives an amzing ride away from the park and in the woods, and Banshee, which is a top class B&M invert. If you are looking for the better 1-2 rides then KD would be better with I305 and Twisted Timbers, but KI has the deeper lineup. If you’re looking for a theme park then Knott’s Berry Farm is amazing; it has great themed lands (Ghost Town in particular) and great rides, along with GhostRider and Xcelerator, and maybe even that rumored B&M giga that could potentially top Fury as the best B&M, or either Busch Gardens parks as they are both getting awesome rides in Pantheon and Iron Gwazi. If you just want the roller coasters, then Six Flags Magic Mountain would be the best place with their new RMC Raptor as their 20th coaster. Those are just some of my favorite parks lol

We spent 2 whole weeks at summercamp slaughtering lanternflies. the threat is real!
When I went too Hersheypark all three intamens were open open but I was to scared to go on any rides that went upside down😓. So they are usually all open! But skyrushs cable broke that is why it was closed. But they are all usually open.
