One of the bands that heavy influenced me during my form of years. It's damn near an anthem to sone of us. Thank you for visiting this song.
Cheers!
The clips in the video are from a movie called trainspotting staring Ewan McGregor were he plays a herion addict. what he picked up was a baggie of herion.
One if the bands that influenced alternative rock, what a cool amazing original band. 😍
the video is just footage from the film "trainspotting" its not official
The drums hit super hard on the entire album "Surfer Rosa", partially due to the drummer, and partially due to how the album was produced. In fact, after hearing their first studio album "Bleach", Kurt Cobain was super disappointed in the drums because he wanted them to hard like they do on Surfer Rosa. Apparently it played a role in them replacing their initial drummer with Dave Grohl. Later on when recording "In Utero", Nirvana chose the same producer the Pixies used on Surfer Rosa - Steve Albini. That album also hits hard with the drums.
Great reaction
Pixies "Here Comes Your Man"...Nuff Said.
Good reaction as always. But just a couple things to keep in mind: This song is from 1987, well ahead of its time since it was one of the first 'Grunge Rock' mainstream songs that would help define the next decade (the 1990s). This 1987 song was basically what the 1990s would sound like...lol.
Also, the music video here is a relatively recent fan-made video. The scenes depicted in the music video are from a 1990s movie called 'Trainspotting', and have nothing to do with the song, the band, or the record label etc. A fan created this music video only a few years ago on RUclips. I don't think this song ever had an official video.
Young Obiwan Kenobi
Hugely influential band, and much more known worldwide than in the US. Try their "Gouge Away" (retelling of the story of Samson and Delila), "Monkey Gone to Heaven" (comments on ruining the planet), "Cactus" (strange but catchy), "The Happening" (aliens in Vegas), "Head Carrier" (one of Charles's interesting story tellings)
It was from a movie. Forgot the name At the moment, but it is a classic. He was "diving" down the toilet after hes drugs :P
Fight club?
@@infamoussnake4042 Trainspotting.
Pixies have loads of great tracks, check out Debaser, Here Comes your Man, Gouge Away, Gigantic, Monkey Gone to Heaven. They were a big influence on bands like Nirvana.
My comment about the film got deleted, it's Trainspotting. A comedy drama about drug addiction, it's very good and so is the book it was based on.

@@mattjohn4731 Thanks..It Was Jorge Santana's Group (R.I.P.) Younger Brother Of Carlos Santana.
Right on.
Clearly you haven't seen the source material for the video. It has nothing whatsoever to do with the song; just some interesting images that some fan thought would go nicely with 'Where is my Mind,' and a pretty good effort, I'd say! If you like interesting movies, watching 'Trainspotting' would be well worth your while. AND you get to hear 'Perfect Day' during the carpet-grave scene which is worth the price of admission by itself! (And, given that the Pixies are the 80s analouge of The Velvet Underground, there's a certain symmetry at play too.)
He picked up a spike full of heroin this is how we got from a carpet to talking to fish.
