I know it's a year later but it's spooky season right now so I looked into this and apparently the main issues are 1 this version was never technically released commercially, so it's considered "film performance" instead of and actual released song. Also the original song rights go to Screamin' Jay Hawkins the original writer and singer, who has been dead for 20+ years so maybe his estate won't let this version be released. I don't know, but it is disappointing it's not on Spotify.
I remember still, 300 years ago, to listen this masterpiece of music by Lady Winnifred Sanderson titled “I put a Spell on Ye” wich tells the tale of three almost young and insanely beautiful mademoiselles who wickedly bewitched dwellers of Salem with thy voices. I told my fellow witch at the coven “Oh my Devil, does this song not make you want to removeth thy socks and show thy ankles!” I remember still our Master twerking to its melody.
You said to come back in a year, so I did! Wow, how did you do this?! Amazing! So happy to have this, after being mad they didn’t use Hocus Pocus 2 as an opportunity to put this out themselves!
i don’t think so 😭…actually, yesterday i was trying to rip the 5.1 disney+ audio to see if any of the channels contained the clean recording, but no 👎…..i do was trying to re-do the “Come little children” remix but that song has turned into a reeal HEADACHE😫so i think i’m just going to stop trying 🫠

I love this song 4 life, Bette Midler perfomance is outstanding, totally sells the character. But the background vocals are sooo underated. I love the harmonies and the belting by the end of the song, so gospel. Anyone knows who did the background vocals?
If the zombie guy stayed alive that whole time they were dead between movies that means their magic lasts past their deaths so... did the parents dance until they died?
Nah they were shown exiting the town hall at the end of the first film with a throwaway line ("I thought LA was a party town!"). Their first candle death broke all their *curses* (binx's immortality and the dancing curse), but the results of spells had stayed, Billy even makes the comment "I was woken up and never put back to sleep", not a curse, just death insomnia

From what I have seen every release of the soundtrack just uses the movie version. It's almost as if Disney and I think UMG have lost the source material for the soundtrack.
exactly, i really don’t understand why can’t they just release the official studio recording, i just know they definitely still have it…not long ago disney released a re-dubbed version on my country and they SHOULD have used the studio version, otherwise it would’ve sounded just bad…i’m guessing they will never release it though, they had a new chance for releasing when the sequel came out and they didn’t so 😔
@@EJAMmusicright. Even my bootleg of the Anniversary Edition soundtrack just has this and Witchcraft with isolated vocals and it is almost as if they used Audacity or some AI program to remove the movie dialogue.
