I don’t understand why the voice actor for Oogie Boogie hasn’t done more work. His voice is fantastic. It’s a shame it’s not recognized more.
When little mermaid was being filmed he went to do the voice of the crab and did not get it. However 30 years later when they did something like this show but for little mermaid he got to do the voice. I was at the show in the video and the little mermaid. Had a blast at both. Honestly there were more adults then kids in the audience.
@@josemhernandez1974 not saying my children havent enjoyed watching the classics but this type of thing dosent bring them back to their youth like it does us my entire collection of disney VHS was purchased from the moment my grandmother found out my mom was going to be giving her the first grandchild and when i got to be about 13-14 years old i told my grandma that all i wanted if she died was the collection she started because of me... If she were alive today she would be over the moon with taking my kids to see something like this with me probably giving it to me as a gift to share with my kids a memory from my child hood the same way i share the old vhs tapes with them and talk to them about her

Yeah, now that you mention it, we know very little about Lock, Shock, and Barrel. A spinoff about them could explain so much about them (Where they came from, why they appear genuinely insane and dangerous rather than just darkly quirky like everyone else in Halloweentown, how they came to join up with Oogie, what they ended up doing after the movie, etc.)!

Pee-Wee (Paul Ruebens) was also in Blues Brothers. He was a waiter. He played Penguin's father in Batman Returns. Forget who he played in Mystery Men. He voiced Bat-Mite in a Batman cartoon and Riddler in the Robot Chicken D.C. Special.
@@XXLSSBBW He was The Slpeen in Mystery Men where his power was farting. Also he was in BLOW with Johnny Depp. He was Penguins father in Batman Returns and then reprised the role again in the Gotham tv series and did a damn good job.

I love the fact Elfman gave a little direction to the strings at 1:57. Even when taking a part in his own song he still feels the need to direct the orchestra!
actually i think he's trying to tell the marimba/xylophone to play louder. you can actually begin to hear it better after he does his lil' hand wave. either way, i love it. i'd be honored if danny elfman gave me directions on HIS piece
I think he is asking to get more strings in his monitor (That's why he points the strings and then points up). He is talking to the audio engineer on the back. You can see him behind the strings at 3:05

My mormon family didn't like nightmare before christmas, thusly as a child I never knew it even existed! Then one day, little old me plays Kingdom Hearts....and am like "What?? There are no skeletons in disney!!!" Then my parents told me "Oh yeah there is...really bad movie though you wouldn't like it." I FELT BETRAYED WHEN I WATCHED IT! BETRAYED! Always a favorite now and forever.

This movie as well as the Home Alone movies have always been my favorite. I figured out last year that Catherine O'Hara does Sally's voice and I just now found out that she also did one of the voices of Oogie's little boys. I always thought Helena Bonham Carter was Sally... I was very pleasantly surprised to find out that it was actually Catherine O'Hara. What a lovely wonderful woman! I LOVE her!

Oggie's laugh is AWESOME! I loved Danny since the Oingo Boingo days. He's a genius when it comes to soundtracks/music/lyrics! I love his voice. In Jack's Lament, it's so clear and pure. By far my all time favorite movie!

When I was young (4-7) I related to Lock, Shock, and Barrel on a spiritual level. I loved trouble and anything morbid. Hell I'm still just as troublesome and morbid! God I love them. They're my favorite characters in any movie.
