Great idea! I was thinking about something similar throughout his time in the aviary. Maybe he can have a lil cushion for the chair that he can bring in and out with him to make it easy to use even if there are a couple birdie dos on the chair itself. I could have watched an entire episode of him just sitting in there with those lil guys.
Yes please add nesting boxes, some species also make nest to sleep in not just to breed. the society finches are very social as the name suggest and will probably all sleep in one nest box. Super cute to see.

Here in Purrto Rico we also celbrate 3 Kings Day. Children on the eve would collect grass and place it in a shoe box and place it under the bed with a glass ofwater for the camels. In the monin therewould not be any grass nor watter and in itsplae would be he presents.

The indoor aviary looks so amazing! You should get a small folding chair and put your camera on a tripod and just sit on the chair and let them get real use to you being in there. The finches are all so beautiful! The outdoor aviary looks so good with the planters and plants inside! The birds look so happy! I think I could watch the birds all day! You mentioned you will have a Guinea pig area. Do you have piggies now? They are my favorite! I used to have four girls but over the last five years lost three of them. I’m down to one and I spoil her, I can’t afford to get more because the vet bills are crazy when they get sick. I have always rescued Guinea pigs. I love that you take in pets when you can. So happy for your sugar gliders! Have you thought of putting bedding down for your pheasants? The concrete can be terrible on their feet and they enjoy the enrichment of foraging through the bedding for dropped seeds from your parrots! I know it may be ugly but they really need it.

Wow everything is coming along so nicely! Looks great Mikey! The aviary and all the finches are so cute It might be good to have a supply shed for your animals near all the enclosures. With a fridge, sink and a counter so that you will have an easier time preparing food and enrichment for the animals, because there's gonna be a lot ! Just thought !
I have golden pothos growing out of my pond and river tanks. The grow like crazy and help with the nitrogen cycle. The fish love swimming around the roots. It is great help in teaching ecological concepts such as biogeochemical cycling and others.

My Goldens , Silvers and Amherst's, love their hiding places among the plants with their hiden nesting boxes . I had a precious long Tailed Whydah finch a few years back named Akino🧡 I miss him dearly and his morning chips He was simply stunning gliding around with his long black tail I hope if eventually it would be lovely to see a paradise Whydah finch in that wonderful Aviary🧡 the males are simply gorgeous! Also maybe look into Green Singer finches they are like mini canaries😊 they actually sing 🎶 and just as cute My Ezra had the loveliest songs I love birds

Yep... a cushion or even a towel to sit on. Even a natural Boulder could double as decor & seating. It can be hosed off too.

Quite incredible to woo finches that quickly. Gouldians are generally bolder, but to have an owl finch eating from your hand is something else.

It might be good to have a supply shed for your animals near all the enclosures. With a fridge, sink and a counter so that you will have an easier time preparing food and enrichment for the animals, because there's gonna be a lot ! Just thought !
I have golden pothos growing out of my pond and river tanks. The grow like crazy and help with the nitrogen cycle. The fish love swimming around the roots. It is great help in teaching ecological concepts such as biogeochemical cycling and others.

My Goldens , Silvers and Amherst's, love their hiding places among the plants with their hiden nesting boxes . I had a precious long Tailed Whydah finch a few years back named Akino🧡 I miss him dearly and his morning chips
He was simply stunning gliding around with his long black tail
I hope if eventually it would be lovely to see a paradise Whydah finch in that wonderful Aviary🧡 the males are simply gorgeous!
Also maybe look into Green Singer finches they are like mini canaries😊 they actually sing 🎶 and just as cute
