Now many people have a tendency of prejudice, which they express their views, but the reality is to be seen. I am studying more about this. Thank you for your encouragement.
No body discriminates on the basis of colour in Pakistan. We pray in the same mosques, and there is intermarriage between sheedis and other communities, many having assimilated into baloch makrani culture
@@pingpong1465 yeah they honestly just look Pakistani to me. Because some of them have the same shade and look as my mother (whose pakistani), as well as my grandfather whose also pakistani. I'm fully pakistani myself so I've seen a lot of people that look like them. They have African routes genetically, like how some pakistani have persian routes and some have south indian routes or wtv but I would classify them as as african. They're just pakistani with different ancestry traces like most pakistani people. We're a very diverse nation from all the blend of people. Persian, arab, central asian, turk, Indian, African, etc etc.
@@pingpong1465 what do u mean by they don’t look pure African, they look pretty mix race? Pls care to elaborate because Africa it’s a continent and all Africans don’t look the same each country have different looks and culture just like any other continent and country.
@@saorihirai4492 I don’t think they would like to be classified as Africans even though they might have inherited from African centuries ago. They’re Pakistani just like any other. Btw even in my home country we have people from different backgrounds still they lived amongst us for 100s of year so we can’t refuse them nationality and how they identify them if they accepted the culture and feel like Pakistani than why not. As human we should be accepting of others and not discriminate people because they look different to us.
@@MxA223 yeah that's what I said. Everyone has genetic routes that lead from some region, like how some people have Persian, mongolian, or middle eastern origins but they are considered pakistani. And actually, Pakistan is a region that has a lot of genetic mixing so I'm not sure what a if a "pure pakistani" even exists. So just naturally, they too are considered full pakstanis in my eyes. Because genetics don't really matter. Since they're not the only ones with "mixed genetics". Literally every Pakistani is like them. And second, even o appearance wise, they literally look like other pakistanis. Like my grandpa looks similar to them. And we're all pakistani. So my end point, yea ofc I agree with you. They are Pakistani like everyone else in Pakistan. No one is "pure" anything.
Thank you so much for sharing such an informative documentary! Got to learn so much about the Sheedi community!! Hope Sind's government will take immediate actions to preserve this unique culture!!!🙌🏻
The siddi people of Pakistan seem to be treated so much better than the siddi comunity in India. Pakistan is definitely one of the most ethnically diverse places on the planet. There are brown Pakistanis white Pakistanis black Pakistanis and Asian Pakistanis; all of whom have been there for thousands of years and identify as Pakistani. It’s quite remarkable that when walking down the market place one doesn’t notice the differences in features or skin color, hence the “shock” with most regarding the existence of the Seedhis , well because, everyone is just “Pakistani” and quite frankly the differences are hardly ever pointed out . It’s really incredible. Not to mention the diversity in languages and dialects, foods and customs. Amazing.
i genuinely did not about these people and im soo happy that ive found people in my country who look so different yet so beautiful , pk is literally the land of diversity one side you 'll find european looking pakistanis and on other hand we find afro-pakistanis :)

If we are good to the Sheedi it’s because Islam and the Prophet Muhammad taught us as such. In his final sermon the prophet said, "There is no superiority for an Arab over a non-Arab, nor for a non-Arab over an Arab. Neither is the white superior over the black, nor is the black superior over the white -- except by piety."
Wow am so stunned to really see these Africans. As an African in Pakistan. It’s a big thing. I have always thought they are Baluch and a few looked more African. Now I know that they are called sheedi or siddi
Looks like they interacted more with the indigenous people unlike in India. Judging by their complexion and hair type and they are not hidden in the forest!

20:58 the children are so cute. may all bless you always Lots of love
The siddi people of Pakistan seem to be treated so much better than the siddi comunity in India. This is most likely because they are muslims and we are know that Allah will not look judge us by our Skin colour but our deeds. They have to count their blessings that they where not born in INDIA becuase those poor Siddi are treeted as 2nd class citizens.
Altaf Sheikh .....u need to open ur eyes......just check the documentory....they have all the facilities then in india....
lavkitpatel Ahmedabad123 no i am indian from Jhunjhunu Rajasthan ,and i today saw all indian documentry for siddhi in india bro , i felt ashamed so bad indians treat them 😢😕
I think religion played a part in their treatment. That's good.
Altaf Sheikh Makran Coastal strip and Karachi coastal areas are only places of afro Asians or Sheedis in south Asia !

We are Pakistanis I love you brothers , from north Pakistan
Reporter speaking in pure Urdu without mixing in English words. Beautiful. Unheard of these days.
A lot of Love to our Sheedi brothers and sisters .
Amazing.
Hoshu shedi is one of the most prominent and famous freedom fighter in in sindh history.
i genuinely did not about these people and im soo happy that ive found people in my country who look so different yet so beautiful , pk is literally the land of diversity one side you 'll find european looking pakistanis and on other hand we find afro-pakistanis
:)
Our African Pakistanis are very attractive.
there is no black etc we are all pakistanis pakistan zindabaad
Pakistani is only a nationality, not a race or ethnicity.
Mike Wanderer they are Muslim so they are our brother 99% of Pakistanis are Muslim so in a way we are one race
Everyone will become a Muslim by 2050 so everyone will be your brother n sisters
@The Land of The Destitute go fuckyourself
Teck Guide
Teck Guide Islam is not a “race” and just because someone is a Muslim it does not mean that they look like you...
I was born somewhere close to their area. But then moved to elsewhere in Karachi. However, I still remember them and I am amazed that their new generation is doing really well ♡
Pakistan you are doing great, proud of you keep it up. Love one another. Blessed.

No, the west is best
May be when Pakistan has a black prime minister
@@user-ny7sg9mz1v I doubt it will happen any soon. Many people are racist though and wouldn't want that in Pakistan. But if he is a good candidate then sure I will root for him
Evens treated better in South Asia than in Africa.
We pakistani are black skinned too ,we shouldn't discriminate these people we are one

In India siddhis are believed to brought by Portuguese. Initially they were kept in Goa which was Portuguese colony. Later some of ppl moved south towards Karnataka and some moved northwards Maharashtra and Gujarat.
No Black , No White, All muslim All pakistani ...they are our brothers
Pakistan zindabad. They are as equal Pakistani as everyone else and equally as important.

They are in India as well. In Gujarat and Karnataka. Beautiful people. Lovely people. ❤️
Maisha-Allah,. It's my 1st time to see black African Pakistan
There is 2 million of them
If we are good to the Sheedi it’s because Islam and the Prophet Muhammad taught us as such.
There are alot of African refugees in Lahore
Amazing... Happy to see that we have black people in Pakistan and living a better life. Love and peace.
It seems they are mixed with other pakistanis, not like in india
Supermedia
They aren't mixed
Looks like they interacted more with the indigenous people unlike in India. Judging by their complexion and hair type and they are not hidden in the forest!
Theresa Okoro
All Sheedis of Pakistan live in Lyari, Karachi. They at least live in a Urban diverse area, they live among Balochis, and Pakhtuns.
@paindoo punjabi mother tongue what the hell ?
paindoo punjabi mother tongue they probably are mixed! I’m African American and GEDmatch shows Baloch ancestry in my Middle Eastern percentage! These people would probably show the same if dna tested!
Siddi/Sheedi always singing and dancing, that's us black people everywhere. We are the salt of the earth;
Mathew 5:13
Any colour your skin has it doesn't matter because these are colours and the beauty of the world is incomplete without it
salute to pakistans diversity and brotherhood💟
What it’s left of african culture is the drum and the danse 😢 and the face features. Great to discover this as an african, maybe one day to visit this people.

Greetings! To the poster, siddi in Pakistan, I had a few questions: when was this film released? Who was the creator of this film? What is the official title of the film? Who produced this film? I’d love to track down hard copy of this film for my collection
It doesn’t matter what race or group your from,as long as your Muslim your like a brother to me.and I think muslims should stop dividing each other and accept each other’s as brothers.allahuakbar(Allah is the greatest) May peace be upon every Muslim.and end racism.
We pakistanis love our black pakistani brothers and sisters...
Never regret where you Siddis ended up. You are better off in Pakistan than in Africa. Be proud to be Pakistani or Indian.
They're treated like garbage in India

لکھا ہے ایک مغربی حق شناس نے
اہل قلم میں جس کا بہت احترام تھا
BILAL R.A.
A righteous Western writer has written; who was highly respected among the literateur:
جولاں گہ سکندر رومی تھا ایشیا
گردوں سے بھی بلند تر اس کا مقام تھا
‘Asia was the marshaling place of Sikandar of Rome; his status was more elegant than even the sky.
تاریخ کہہ رہی ہے کہ رومی کے سامنے
دعوی کیا جو پورس و دارا نے، خام تھا
History attests that in combat with the Romans the claims of Porus and Dara were vain.
دنیا کے اس شہنشہ انجم سپاہ کو
حیرت سے دیکھتا فلک نیل فام تھا
At this emperor with the myriad-man army the blue sky was looking with amazement.
آج ایشیا میں اس کو کوئی جانتا نہیں
تاریخ دان بھی اسے پہچانتا نہیں
Today nobody knows him in Asia; even the historian does not recognize him.
لیکن بلال، وہ حبشی زادئہ حقیر
فطرت تھی جس کی نور نبوت سے مستنیر
But Bilal (R.A.), that humble person with Negroid origin, whose nature had been brightened by the Prophethood’s (S.A.W.) Light.
جس کا امیں ازل سے ہوا سینہء بلال
محکوم اس صدا کے ہیں شاہنشہ و فقیر
The call whose custodian the breast of Bilal since eternity,* became subservient to which call emperors as well as the indigent became!
* Allusion to Azan.
ہوتا ہے جس سے اسود و احمر میں اختلاط
کرتی ہے جو غریب کو ہم پہلوئے امیر
Which brings amity between the black and the red; by which the poor and the rich are placed together.
ہے تازہ آج تک وہ نوائے جگر گداز
صدیوں سے سن رہا ہے جسے گوش چرخ پیر
That heart-melting song is fresh till the present age; which the old sky’s ear has been hearing for centuries.’
اقبال! کس کے عشق کا یہ فیض عام ہے
رومی فنا ہوا، حبشی کو دوام ہے
Iqbal! This general blessing is due to whose love? The Roman has perished, the Negro is immortal!
