USN boot camp Orlando, FL, '77, was standing in formation for Company Commander Dress Uniform inspection. Everyone was dismissed but me. The Company Commander called in two other company commanders, the stood and looked me over for 30 minutes, something was wrong with my uniform, they couldn't figure it out. Chief said, "tie that tie for me again, recruit." I had tied a Windsor know instead of a 4-in-hand. LOL
It’s a holdover from when the master would examine his household servants. The uniform is to reduce individuals to a non person. Similar to a livery man or houseboy. Mercenaries wore anything they wanted- armies wore uniforms.
We get issued special covers that are a bit of a different material than the standard issue ones, we then have to shape them and starch them ourselves.
Look I don't care if you're gay in the military I support you but the gay flag everywhere on our military stuff makes us look weak AF I'm sorry but it's true iran china don't see it like we do
