John Mayer has played with so many greats. He can stand on stage with anybody. He is such a great himself and timeless. I love everything he does and him.
Omg! Give Felder some band like this pls! Crosby, Nash Stills vs Felder oldfreindfight Guitars Masterin and new oldBlood of Felder ! And so young and so fuck experienced amazing multisound guitar player John Mayer's superinjection!
I can only say that john mayer has now played, sounded great , and enjoyed playing with every band I dreamt of doing the same with... Hes good. Where does it end? or should it ever? Keep it up.
JM has the gift, knows when to lay it low, and then put it all out there on a solo when the mood is fitting. A good blues guitarist is also known for when he doesn't play a note in with all the other notes he does play. As a current blues player, I'm not too sure he has an equal. It seems touring and doing his own gig wears a bit on him these days, but when he's a guest of someone else... he's sharp, raw and so thoroughly focused and plays his best stuff, freestyle, improvised, free and flowing.
Cameron Sasai I concur.... this is not a competition. Not only is John Mayer recognized as a guitar virtuoso by all the living great blues guitarists, he has a collaborative relationship with David Crosby and Graham Nash, so he's no slouch. No question Joe Bonamassa is also a virtuoso. No question there's lots of room in the world of music for many gifted musicians!
JM is awesome and plays great on this. Don Felder is equally good but he really lays back on this and doesn't over-play. If JM wants to get REALLY big he should hire Felder to play guitar in his touring band.
+Utsab Gurung I think the word "hire" is what makes that statement unattractive. John has toured with Robbie McIntosh, Steve Jordan, Pino Palladino. They're all pretty legendary albeit mostly for their session work. He also uses SRV's guitar tech.
Maybe you did not realize that musicians do not sleep on the ground of railway stations any more. There are even some guys who have the money for an expensive watch. Why not? What's your problem, boomer?
Felder is a gentleman with long and enriching relationships w/ CSN. You can read his book to catch up on all of that. Very cool to see them all playing together again. Felder must have been having major flashbacks! Notice how he and Graham look like they have the same barber? Just sayin'....
Crosby said of The Eagles. "I don;t like the Eagles..they never, ever change a song when they play live. They do the exact same version night after night. It's so easy to do that."...I see what side of the Eagle War Crosby sides..DFelder.
+Jonathan Quintero Seriously. If I was just told "imagine a nickel-plated strat", I'd imagine it and think there's no way it'd be attractive. But, seeing is believing. Can't tell you how many times I've watched JM play it and googled to see where to buy one, only to be let down.
Good to see all the CSN guys playing live. Stephen Stills and Don Felder seem to be a good combination, but John Mayer takes the spotlight with his driving solo towards the end.
Don Felder toured with CSN back in the day. at times he was in the back playing the part of Stills for Stills, idk Y It was never said. He was also in a band with Stills as a kid called the Continentals, probably Y he fits with them so well. I want to know why Stills is not really singing or playing, though they give him a shout out?
Kandi G. Stills rarely sings live these days. It is well documented that he has blown out his beautiful voice, after decades of improper singing technique. It's really very sad. BUT, he is still playing guitar with as much skill and artistry as he ever had. I'm not sure why you have the impression he is not playing guitar. I can clearly hear his tone and technique, especially the first half of this song.
I see him strumming some but not his usual style, So yes he is there and playing better then most people could, but no, he is not playing like he used to.
Felder played with Crosy Nash before his tenure in The Eagles. What a beast of a player he is.
That's a boatload of musical talent on one stage
Lotsa talent on display that night. Though a star, Stills was under appreciated for his prodigious talent, in my opinion.
John Mayer has played with so many greats. He can stand on stage with anybody. He is such a great himself and timeless. I love everything he does and him.
And, how old is this guy and still precise, feel full of 70'/80's and still so peacefull clean - mr. Finger Felder!!! Respect!
Outstanding, never seen this before, fantastic.
Excellent!!! John can hold his own with the best of them...this is music I listened to as a kid! LOVE!!!
Nice to see “Fingers” Felder shred that Strat with Mayer, and play with his childhood friend Stephen Stills.
Omg! Give Felder some band like this pls! Crosby, Nash Stills vs Felder oldfreindfight Guitars Masterin and new oldBlood of Felder ! And so young and so fuck experienced amazing multisound guitar player John Mayer's superinjection!
best song of the night in my opinion. i can hear me screaming during the jam. Crosby just keeps getting better.
my favourite band CSN and my favourite guitarist John Mayer playing together... now my life is complete.
Years from now, I'd like to hear Mayer recount his feelings from that event.
Felder is an honorary CSN member. Water seeks it's own level. This is family for him. I don't think Mayer was born when the original surfaced.
Susan nah Mayer was born ‘77, CSN album came out in ‘69 well before his time.
John Mayer killed it. Thanks for posting this. The whole thing was awesome!
No way he cant hold a string compared to stills
@@lastnamefirst4035 I’m sorry but stills can’t play stuff like this

Don Felder is the man.
I concur
It was already great, but when John started shredding near the end, he just brought so much energy!
relhcseod Yes he is!🤘🤘🤘
@@ttownkeith cocaine
OMG this is just the best! The talent on that stage is amazing! So glad I found this video. Thanks for sharing.
Debbie Edwards you are most welcome
Mayer you are officially my hero after playing on this tune
Rest in peace David 💔😥
Incredible! Thank you!
I can only say that john mayer has now played, sounded great , and enjoyed playing with every band I dreamt of doing the same with... Hes good. Where does it end? or should it ever? Keep it up.
And Mayer can really feel it!
I would like to see these great musicians make an album! It would be epic!
Mayer was born 1977. Everyone on stage with him was already a living legend on the day he was born.
JJJJJJJJJJJJOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHNNNNNNNNN shredding like a master on Wooden Ships! I love you John Mayer!

passattdise As a current blues player Joe Bonamassa has no equal. Joe is KING. Voted 5 years in a row as the best blues guitarist.
Cameron Sasai I concur.... this is not a competition. Mayer is a good guitarist.....not great.
Juste excellent ❣️

u don't hire legends or ur heroes
+Utsab Gurung I think the word "hire" is what makes that statement unattractive. John has toured with Robbie McIntosh, Steve Jordan, Pino Palladino. They're all pretty legendary albeit mostly for their session work. He also uses SRV's guitar tech.
Great fing idea!
Steve Stills ain't no slouch!
Yes, if John Mayer wants to get big. LMAO.
The fact John saved that jam wearing a $50,000 PN Daytona pretty proves he is the biggest baller of all.
+brian91145 His watch game is strong
Maybe you did not realize that musicians do not sleep on the ground of railway stations any more. There are even some guys who have the money for an expensive watch. Why not? What's your problem, boomer?
That's a super sound!
Love it when Stills stops playing and just watches Felder rip it
How am I just now finding this video??? I was fairly certain I had seen every video featuring JM... guess I was wrong!
John Mayer sold My Perfect Life! Damn him!!
Felder is a gentleman with long and enriching relationships w/ CSN. You can read his book to catch up on all of that. Very cool to see them all playing together again. Felder must have been having major flashbacks! Notice how he and Graham look like they have the same barber? Just sayin'....
Fingers finally in a band worthy of his talent.
wow John mayer kicked their asses. Amazing solo!
Crosby said of The Eagles. "I don;t like the Eagles..they never, ever change a song when they play live. They do the exact same version night after night. It's so easy to do that."...I see what side of the Eagle War Crosby sides..DFelder.
That nickel plated strat is gorgeous
+Jonathan Quintero Seriously. If I was just told "imagine a nickel-plated strat", I'd imagine it and think there's no way it'd be attractive. But, seeing is believing. Can't tell you how many times I've watched JM play it and googled to see where to buy one, only to be let down.
Michael Chaves who is playing drums was part of the early band of john Mayer circa 2002. He plays guitar on Any Given Thursday.
That is not Michael Chaves lol
Felder's wave's made California!
Good to see all the CSN guys playing live. Stephen Stills and Don Felder seem to
be a good combination, but John Mayer takes the spotlight with his driving solo

7:14 aand RELEASE! Goosebumps.
John looks like he had a few choo choo trains with Croz the way he's waggling his jaw lol
God damn John just fucking directs shit at the end
LOL John comes in and absolutely destroys it
If you look closely at around 6:13, Crosby and Nash give permission through eye contact for John Mayer to do a solo.
wooden ships to take us beyond
Who is that playing bass in the background?
Mayer is just being a little greedy. Don Felder could’ve blown him out of the water if it was a competition
Stephen no sing? He usually sang the first couple lines.
Still and Crosby have done backing vocals on John Mayer’s Born and Raised album
That was Graham and Croz, not Stephen.
simply awesome
Still on the left.
Quel bordel !
JM tore it up good
Enough talent on stage?
7:52 "those faces are just a little too much, don't you think? Mayer?..
I just saw them in Chicago in July.., does anyone know who the drummer is ?
phatbackbeat He is Steve Distanislao, or "Stevie D", CSN's current drummer.
And fucking! missing all guitar view between 7:30 - 8:00.. please anyone ??
thanks d egge fixed it
egge :)
solo tabs mayer ?
A bit of overkill here.
Don Felder?
Don Felder who was with the Eagles.....
Lukesfan Don is always the best, get better with age
Who is the kid on percussion?
Stephen Stills' son, Oliver!
Lousy video, lousy sound, but nice to see that much talent on stage at once....
6:48-6:51 "dat transition doe"
The kid can hang.
Too many guitars. Sounds like chaos
41999
Wow...that really sucked ¿`_
Nah john and felder...
Maybe too many guitard up there
Mayer is in cocaine ?
tooo many guitars.. too many sounds it killed the song...
I don't know now. Mayer a little over the top and showy. I'm a gtr player. Heady solo with sloppy chops. Loud and exaggerating
is that why nash seemed doucey to mayer , will say Stephen seemed a little out of odds > no wonder Mayer came out on davids side lol
Wow sounds like crap
Mayer is so overrated...lol
+sbrave Tell that to plethora of legendary musicians that bring him up on the stage
One of the worst videos to bring up such an incorrect opinion
Welcome
Plethora? haha
awesome
