Aqui no Brasil as ferramentas são muito cara, mais a vontade de construir é maior... Parabéns!!! Here in Brazil the tools are very expensive, but the desire to build is greater ... Congratulations!!!
I couldnt stop watching your videos came a long way from the mistakes video. Very inspirational my friend thanks for taking the time to share. Will sub and hope for more
Hello Sir, thankyou for sharing your build. I so enjoyed watching you offer up the tail gate to the rear of your camper. It fitted beautifully. A credit to you. Could I also tell everyone who reads this. On DIY programmes/footage, it's not often you see holes being drilled for screws. We in England call them pilot holes and help prevent the wood from splitting. Many people just drive the screw in. That's not how the screw works. The hole accommodates the shaft of the screw and the screw threads cut into the wood or mass. Using the correct size of pilot hole, not too large, and a little bIt of grease/vaseline makes the screw go in beautifully, but also can be retrieved easily too. Loved your footage Sir. Lots of people, including myself will be inspired by your film, thankyou and good luck.
@@BasecampUnbounded I also subscribed. Thank you for showing this process. I'm almost to this part on my build and I've been racking my brain on how to put it together. This will help me a lot!
Alex Vietor I’m glad this video helped. Thanks for the sub. I’m by no means an expert, but feel free to ask any questions you might have. I’ll do my best to help out.
Looking good 👍👍👍 ... I see you've got done great tools now ... A better suited trailer and panelling going straight down the edge of the trailer too . I wanted to add one thing though , the galley door will weigh a fair bit and I thought a vertical piece of timber running down the wall supporting the top brace , where the door is hinged could add some strength and help carry the weight of the door. Cheers , looking good 👍😅
Found your build through the 6 mistakes video and started watching this new build. Looking good. Are you worried about not having insulation on the walls at all? Took some tips and tricks to heart on my micro camper that I'm making so thank you for those. Always cool to see other Texans building things, im down near Htown and have been trying to deal with the heat during my build... its brutal. Keep up the good work.
I found with my previous build that no insulation in the walls isn't really a big concern, but I may end up adding some from the inside if it becomes necessary. I agree the heat has made building a little unbearable for now. Thanks for the support.
Cara tenho uma vontade enorme de construir o meu próprio e a assistindo me encorajou muito... Man I have a huge desire to build my own and watching it encouraged me a lot ...
On my older table saws and radial arm saws they have a resettable overheat circuit breaker. (usually some sort of pop-out button) Wonder if that was the problem with your table saw...
brickley2 the window and door are from a previous build and were designed for 1 and 3/4” thick walls. I had to add the extra width so they would fit. I’m also using the door side to hide the wiring for the light outside and the switch inside. Thanks for watching!
BULLETPROOF! Could have added a 4" concrete slab with a 3/4" plywood sub-floor, I mean if extra WEIGHT was more your goal. Did you add a 5.2 K axle with 10 ply tires too? LOL.....
You need to be using marine plywood, the plywood you have for wall will turn to mush after it gets wet or damp a couple times. All this work and cost will be lost. Your design doesn't allow any possibility for insulation.
THXS for the reply. Urge you to be careful per using mostly plywood for your construction, it's a poor choice and design, most plywood is made overseas and loaded with harmful chemicals such as urea formaldehyde. You don't want be sleeping in your camper fulltime inhaling these harmful fumes.
@@charlesriggs6406 man stop with the downbuzz . This guy's done an amazing job an 90% of these campers have wood in them. Most new houses are full of chemical based compounds.
Sealed with marine based paint.. or a latex coating for flexibility. Or a marine varnish.. but honestly if you know how to use house paint or any paint you should be able to seal a surface no matter what the material... I'm a House painter of 12years painted few cars too. Yeah just use the right paints with eight preparation...an to much insulation can be worse than nun at all. If the floors done an maybe ceiling id say that's ok.
I'm doing mine in an oil based sealer .with enamel car paint over . You need to do a sealer coat then sand an fill then undercoat then sand again with 180 _240. Then dust . Tack cloth. Then paint gloss on. With the car paint you can apply a car wax.... Rain falls straight off. Over time the ply may fuck out with heat stress. But could look at a vinal wrap.or aluminium skin

What are you going do for waterproofing?

Looks like a really nice build thus far, 1 question though: are you not glueing your joints? If not why?
