Supplies for this project:
• 4" round ceramic tiles (make sure the cork bottom is separate from the tile)
• Multi-surface black paint
• DIY Mandala Stones dotting tools (1-16 set) (I used: www.amazon.com...)
• Nail stylus tools
• DecoArt Americana paints in your choice of colors (at least 2)
• A stencil to mark a starting grid
• White charcoal pencil & cotton swab
• Paint palette or paint cups
• Acrylic gloss sealant spray (Remember to remove any guide lines first, before sealing!)
• Lazy Susan with non-slip grip pad
Once you've given your tile a coat of the multi-surface black paint and it's had a chance to dry, you'll need to heat-cure the tile in the oven so the base paint can withstand coming in contact with moisture. (The design paint will be protected with the sealant spray.)
1.) Place the tile on a cookie sheet that's been lined with parchment paper, and put it into a cold oven.
2.) Turn the oven to 350 degrees and set to ON.
3. Once the temperature has been reached, set a timer for 30 minutes.
4. When the timer goes off, do not open the door! Turn the oven off and set another timer for 30 minutes.
5. When that timer goes off, open the oven and let the tile continue to cool completely.

I would love a color list for these. Sat in front of the paint shelves today and couldn’t choose...
@@LLCreativeStudios ohhh!
@@LLCreativeStudios they’re beautiful btw. 🙂
what are the colors you used :) beautiful peaceful colors?
I used Decoart Americana acrylic paints, in green, blue, turquoise, pink, purple, and yellow.
Beautiful! Love the two blue colors. Do they have to be enamel?
Muito linda!!!

Great job. How do you seal it so hot cups don’t ruin the paint?
If you use for coasters. And they become moist from the glass would it ruin them
The video description outlines the steps for making them moisture-proof. I've been using mine for over a year and haven't had a problem yet! :)
Hi , this is so beautiful !! Which sealant do you use ?
Does white glass pencil works in place of white charcoal pencil
Can you skip the heat cure and just seal them or did you leave off the sealing step and just leave it matte?
Coasters are designed for moisture, so the paint has to be protected one way or another. If you use multi-surface paint, you can heat seal and then you don't need any other type of sealant. If you use regular acrylic paint instead of multi-surface, you'll need to seal it with something before allowing any moisture to come in contact with it.
@@LLCreativeStudios I wasnt sure of why the heat seal. Thank you for explaining the difference.
The stencil suggested does not ship to the U S. Any other options for where to buy? Thanks
What are you using as a turn table to turn your coasters so easily?
It's a lazy susan with a non-slip silicone pad glued on top. I'm not sure what country you're in, but this Amazon link has the lazy susan for quick delivery in U.S. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08JCWVMHM
Do you mix your paints with anything?
LOL Check your nail stylus tool link !!
lol I guess they've changed their product in the past three years. :)
Where can I purchase the round tile and cork material that you used
I don't know where you're located, but I got mine on Amazon: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07SV5679Z
@@LLCreativeStudios thank you so much for this information. I’ll order mine right away. I love all of your videos. Thanks again.
Thanks for the tutorial, don’t you cure it after you are done completely. Did you use any sealant on top?
Hi, please refer to the video description, which provides all the details for this project. :)
@@LLCreativeStudios I have seen the video, I see that you cured it after base paint but not after the overall painting.I have down the same design on wooden discs and not on a ceramic, hence checking.
@@mguddsarts2121 You cannot cure regular acrylic paint, which is what I used for the designs on these coasters. The paint bottle will specify if it can be cured and what those instructions are. Usually that would be multi-surface acrylic or enamel paint. Since I didn't use multi-surface or enamel paint, I used an acrylic sealant spray, which is listed in the video description (below the video itself, where all the text is). Wooden discs cannot be heat-cured even if you use multi-surface or enamel paint. You would need to seal them with resin, a brush-on sealant, or the same acrylic sealant spray I used for this project. Hopefully this helps answer your question.
@@LLCreativeStudios make sense. Thanks.
Can you resin them
Hi. Can you please tell me where you got your tools? Thank you
Hi, please be sure to read the video description, located below the video, which has all the project details.
I meant pallette😄
What stencil do you use? 👏
The link is in the video description.
