As a beginner, this was so helpful. I appreciate that you talk throughout instead of playing music. Your little tips and encouragements are great. Thank you!
Oh yay!!! That is so good to hear! I am so glad you enjoyed it ❤️
@@thoughtfuldots which color did u use?
I am not really a beginner, but I still love to watch your videos no matter what it is. I also so appreciate that you talk through the video giving tips. The music makes it more difficult to follow. Thanks for all you do!
I saw a great tip for your paint palette - put a piece of Glad Press and Seal on it before you pour in your paints then you just peel it off and throw it away. No paint down the drain!
I Am an avid crafter, just going through the template offers, ordered these doting tool with no idea what to do with them. Your video was very helpful thank you so much. I also love carving wood, these accents have so many possibilities
That’s where I went wrong. I’m so glad I watched your video! I was always top doting while still wet and it always went wrong. Thanks 😊
I love love love this stone! That color combination and that pattern is everything!
Thank you so much!
Great video, I love how you are able to freehand the design, it is so beautiful. Thank you!

Beautifully executed! I love this tutorial and I’m so excited to see more 🤩❤️
Thanks so much Tasha
Thank you so much for my first dotting tutorial! Very good video - can't wait to start!
It makes sense painting the black base coat with a multi surface paint, especially as I live in the tropics and moisture is always an issue. So I have taken your lead and am waiting for my order of Folk Art MS black paint to arrive. Finishing with Triple Thick or any gloss, makes it irrelevant whether we use a matte or satin black background.
This was a great tutorial! Thank you
Very enthusiastic I like that
Thankyou this was a very great soothing and informative video. . love to know how you made the rock. X
So beautiful! Can’t wait to try it - I need that pink carrousel 😍
Thanks so much! Yess Pink Carrousel is a must have. Such a beautiful pink!
This is Brilliant!
Awesome & Beautiful work …
I’d love to try this ,
Watching you do this is therapeutic

You made this look so easy! I've order eco resin and dotting tools, now I am so glad I found this video - thanks for sharing!
Every time I think youre done and it looks great, you add more and more. The sealer really makes it pop. Nice work 🙂
Thank you so so much! Glad you enjoyed
I I’ll try tomorrow for my first time.
Have fun!
Very well explained and demonstrated💫 Thank you.
I love this and you make the steps very easy to follow!! Thanks so much 🥰.
You are SO welcome!! more to come!
Just beautiful.
Wow!! I've never seen this b4. U have 1 hell of a steady hand. That's beautiful.
Thank you so much!
So helpful.thank you.keep going. Keep growing...
I like it!
😮❤❤❤❤
So much dedication and passion.
Yessss I truly love this form of art
Perfect 👍
Thank you so much 😊❤
So beautiful and I love the colours you have chosen. Do you plan out the pattern before you start or do you just go for it?
Thata very beautiful, and looks fun and easy enough. Can u try a peacock design?
I"m newer to this art and really enjoyed your presentation. Kind of liked your casual, go with the flow attitude vs. placing a grid. You say,,if you don't like it just clean it up. So many channels get all into the exactness of this art. Looking forward to more.
Ohhh I am so glad you enjoy the "go with the flow". I am an Aquarius and much of my life is about flow and what FEELS right. It can drive some people nuts but I feel there are certain people who will appreciate that. Mandalas can be very precise and even mathematically perfect. But when it comes it dot painting I feel like we can relax a little bit and ease into the flow and appreciate the even "imperfect" outcomes. Thank you for being here!!
@@thoughtfuldots LOL== I"m a Pisces.
You get it then lol! My bday is Feb 18 so I am right on the cusp of Aquarius/Pisces 😋
Very nice tutorial. Does it matter the colors you use and in a certain order?

I found this very interesting where do u get your tools from?
Yes I've just followed u for my first go,I've learnt I can't work on an oval,do u have any oval dotting ones on how to map it out plz. Also learnt that spacing is key,I must do better next time.I also only used wooden dowl.Your a very good teacher, love this 😊.
I have not painted on an oval, sorry!
Did you ever make a video on making the stones?
Such a beautiful design, and such a steady, even hand!
I would have loved to have seen you make a mistake on purpose, in order to show your beginner audience how to fix it. Perhaps next time?
Thank you! Yes! More beginner videos to come soon ♥️ I will be sure to sneeze or something while painting 😆
thank you i made one my first dot paintig stone with this tutorial
Oh awesome!! How did it turn out?
@@thoughtfuldots being on of my First It s not no so bad with practice i'll do it Always Better
Love the colours...very bright and beautiful!! Could you tell me what product you use to make stones?
Thanks so much!! I actually have someone that makes them for me. I am very lucky haha! This would be a great question to ask in our Facebook group! The link is in the description box for this video :)
Thanks di
I am going to try this ok a flat tile.😅
Where can I find those white cylinders that you plaint black?! Love your work and will continue to learn from you! Thank you
Hello! They are cement rocks. You can buy molds from Devon Dotting or Happy Dotting Company and make your own or I think they also sell them already made!
Beautiful colors. How did you make the 3-D dots on the glazed stone. Additional acrylics or special paints?
They are Liquid Pearls paint :)
When using the hair dryer, I'm assuming it's set on cool !?
Beautiful colors and pretty design, I wish you could tell the dotting tool size as you go along, sometimes the camera makes things look bigger😁
Thank you!! That is a good idea... I am not sure of the sizes though. Also, not all dotting tools sets have the same sizes so it kind of makes it hard. I will have to figure out a solution to this!! Thanks for the suggestion
Do you prefer not to work with outline on rock first (with white chalk)?

Can the stones be bought or do they have to be made?
I buy mine from TheRockShopCo on Etsy!
are you painting a rock or something else that is so perfectly round?
Where can we get these stones from?
TheRockShopCo on Etsy!
Hi, could you please drop a list of the exact names of the tools you used so I can buy them
Check out my Amazon shop ☺️ www.amazon.com/shop/thoughtfuldots/list/2RJ8WJ4NBFWHZ
Which colour r u using
Hello! How do you find the center?
That is something I forgot to mention in this tutorial!! The rock mold actually had the center dot on it so it's easy to find. With other larger projects I use a ruler and protractor to make my best educated guess LOL
Where did get this stone
wad are those tools known as?
What are the no. of evert point?
What ain't are u using
I have tried and tried to do this. I think I have to get it through my head that it’s impossible for the dots to be the exact same size. I thin my first problem is I made the rock to big. Plz give me some encouragement. I went out and bought everything. I’m getting so discouraged, I’m about ready to just dump everything in the trash😪😪😪
You should join my Patreon where I do live tutorials and you can ask questions live. My dots are not always the same size but I show you how to work with it. You can also watch all my past tutorials! www.patreon.com/thoughtfuldots
What is the name of the dot pen?
It's not pens. It's dotting tools and acrylic paint. All tools used are linked in the description!
How do I find your facebook page?
You have 10 can you do more or less?

Beginners need guide lines
Not true. I started without guide lines and I am glad I did!
go to paint? and dont u use a pattern
I wish you talked about the paint you used a bit more after all you said it was a bigger project. So treat the beginners with a bit more information!!!
