Thank you for shooting a night driving video. I wish more reviewers would do this. Barely any other reviewers even talk about the headlights’ effectiveness or interior lighting, let alone give us a whole video showing what the car is like to drive at night. I just bought a new ‘25 Civic Si about a month ago, and I think you nailed the review of the refreshed Si. It’s not the fastest, not the best sounding, not the most tech laden, and definitely not flashy, but when you look at the big picture, this is a great car and maybe an ideal one for an enthusiast on a budget. I love mine!
Honda adding the digital gauge cluster to the Si makes it so much more appealing with how much time we spend looking at gauge clusters. I bought a 24 Hatchback Sport Touring the beginning of this year and have really enjoyed it. I thought I would be jealous knowing there was a hybrid version coming when I bought my car, but having moved to a state where gas doesn't cost a fortune, I'm actually glad to have the 1.5 turbo since it's refreshing having a regular gasoline car, coming from my lemon-lawed Ford Fusion Energi. This update to the Si has my attention since I've toyed with the idea of getting a manual for a long time and now it has all the features I care about, but for obvious financial reasons I'm sticking to my 2024 CVT hatchback for the foreseeable future.

As for the process, I had videos and photos of the electronics going crazy in the car and it also spent a lot of time in the dealership so they had lots of proof that something wasn’t right. We thought it was fixed and it went over a year without problem and then suddenly shut down on the freeway at which point I didn’t even bother taking it into the dealership, I just started the lemon law process from there citing the car as a danger to my safety. No matter how it goes it’s a pretty complicated process and it took a few months while I was still driving the car and worrying about what else would go wrong but I was always super nice with the buyback team and appreciative of their help. I had the pre refresh 11g SI before trading it for an RDX and a Type R. The updates seem quite nice. Very good creature comforts with the heated seats. Nice little touches otherwise. Also being in Michigan, I can say that I didn't need the heated seats with the cloth seats to begin with - the cloth just didn't get that cold. The option is still better than not, but anyway. Good review. Nice to see that this is just the same with some extra niceness. Edit: PS - i never thought the rev hang was that big of a deal. I think some people like to make a mountain out of a mole hill. It exists, not that bad, get over it people lol
For me personally, I think the only things I would upgrade is the halogen turn signals and the reverse lights both to LED, upgrade my tires from a 235 to a 245, maybe a Cold Air Intake, upgrade the OEM shifter to a Hybrid Racing manual shifter, and change out the Si shift knob and upgrade to the OEM red Type R shift knob just because it's what I want to do. Other than that, that's all I would do. The rest of the car is perfect.
The stock shifter is perfect as it is. I just test drove it and it's so short and direct like a rifle bolt. I can't imagine it getting any shorter throws than that. Honda makes the best manual shifters among Japanese manufacturers from my experience and I've drive them all.
Great video. Am I the only one that thinks the previous Si/Sport wheels look better than these? They both look good, but these new ones look a bit more "basic OEM" to me. I feel like these should be on the sport and the sport wheel should be the Si wheels.

I regret my 2024 Mazda 3 purchase a bit after test driving a Civic Si recently. Looking into trading in for a new Civic Si instead, even though I'm a bit upside down on my Mazda loan. Just trying to figure out how much I'm willing to pay for one of these. It seems like the perfect middle ground I need for my job where I'm driving all day- good mpg but a fun manual with a lighter clutch to make traffic easier to deal with. If anyone is out there reading this is shopping for cars, I HIGHLY recommend test driving as many cars as possible. I know it sounds obvious, but it's so easy to lock in on a car you think you want and pull the trigger while at the dealership. Salesmen will always push you to make the purchase and make you feel like it's the best choice, even if you're hyper aware for their tactics. I've gone around and tested a lot since I purchased my Mazda. It honestly wasn't a bad choice and checked most of my boxes. But in the end, the automatic isn't fun enough for me, and I'm a bit too big for the seats at 6'4" - I just can't get comfortable in them for some reason. The handling leaves a little bit to be desired, but it's not bad by any means. Maybe I would've enjoyed a manual Mazda, but they didn't have one available to test anyways. Anywho, that's the end of my rant. Thanks for coming to my ted talk. Be smart out there and make good decisions :)
