PS - following extreme erosion due to Hurricane Ian, much of the driving portion of the beach has been lost. Four weeks later, about half the beach (south of Flagler ave to 27th ave) remains closed to driving. North of that is open only at low tides. Good luck finding anywhere to park at higher tides on weekends. Get a hotel room if you really want to walk onto the beach for now. North of the Inlet (Ponce/Daytona Beach Shores, Daytona Beach) were impacted even more destructively. The sand can come back following very calm summer months. Not likely in winter.

Thanks a million for promoting more people coming here. The growth has been steadily ramping up for the past 55 years I have been here, but it seems many want it to grow more rapidly. Sadly the roads and infrastructure don't grow fast enough, leaving locals trying to figure out how to get to work and home, to stores, or anywhere at times. Love the video - not really.

I hope New Smyrna Beach residents help to control the growth. This beautiful beach does not need to turn into a Myrtle Beach. I’ve been coming there since 1965, still in elementary school. The only beach that my family will go to and relax like we do at NSB is HHI. Keep it all about the beach.
