It really depends on what you are after for vacation. A multiple couple’s retreat with no kids and just enjoy adult time, I would definitely like to visit Miami. I have never been there. I am a married man with 3 kids, so I would mostly avoid Miami like the plague. Too much temptation. There are other family friendly options on this list that I have been to. Clearwater, and the Florida Keys are some of the best places in Florida I have ever been and they honestly rival Hawaii. I lived in HI for 3 years and the Gulf of Mexico is actually very nice. Me and my family just recently came back from Florida. We visited Sarasota/siesta key, Naples, and the Florida Keys. Me and my wife can honestly say that we loved the Florida keys the best. Shallow crystal clear water for the toddlers and baby and plenty of stuff for adults AND kids to do over there. Lots of water sports and beach relaxation in Bahia Honda state park. I would say that Key West would be a great alternative to Miami for some of us.
