When I was a kid, my nonna (granny) taught me the lyrics and we used to sing and dance together. We still sang it by heart until she died, despite she had Alzheimer's she remembered every word. I fall in love with this song within the first 10 seconds it was an obvious winner there was no doubt about that. She was electric so sweet and innocent. Today the Eurovision is about fancy stage moves to the point of acrobatics which totally detracts from the singing and the song. This song should go down as one of the best euro songs ever.
I find the Sanremo song festival much more interesting and entertaining than modern Eurovision. There is almost a whole week to become familiar with the songs and as a rule, there is nothing to shock us or to detract from the singing and the music. It will run from about 9 or 10 February until 14 February this year and as always will be broadcast via Eurovision even if not every country will transmit it. I am looking forward to seeing il Volo take part for the first time as contestants. They were there in 2010 as part of the TLUC kids.

They lived down the road from Gigliola cinquetti's family. Mom bought her album and we kept it a long time but it disappeared. We all grew up listening to it. I first heard this song in 1989 on the radio while on a Med deployment with the US Navy. I've never head it played publicly again. Fortunately, I recorded the radio programme on a cassette tape which I've since converted to digital format. I replay the programme occasionally, and every time I hear the song, I became entranced with the melodious warmth of her voice. I stumbled upon this video by chance tonight, and the magic is complete. Thanks for sharing this memory of a pure and simple time with us!

This song has always been with me and serves as a remainder of how unique are the performances of the artisans of La Republica Italia.
I fall in love with this song within the first 10 seconds it was an obvious winner there was no doubt about that. She was electric so sweet and innocent. Today the Eurovision is about fancy stage moves to the point of acrobatics which totally detracts from the singing and the song. This song should go down as one of the best euro songs ever.

I find the Sanremo song festival much more interesting and entertaining than modern Eurovision. There is almost a whole week to become familiar with the songs and as a rule, there is nothing to shock us or to detract from the singing and the music. It will run from about 9 or 10 February until 14 February this year and as always will be broadcast via Eurovision even if not every country will transmit it. I am looking forward to seeing il Volo take part for the first time as contestants. They were there in 2010 as part of the TLUC kids.

I love this song and her first album. I grew up listening to it. My father was in the US Army and he and my mom and older sisters lived in Italy. My brother was born in Italy in 1964. They lived down the road from Gigliola cinquetti's family. Mom bought her album and we kept it a long time but it disappeared. We all grew up listening to it. I would love to find another copy on a CD. I hope she is doing well.

The first time I heard was in the maternity ward when I gave birth to my son 25 years. A young Italian mother in the bed next to me sang this beautiful song to her newborn daughter. I first heard this song in 1989 on the radio while on a Med deployment with the US Navy. I've never head it played publicly again. Fortunately, I recorded the radio programme on a cassette tape which I've since converted to digital format. I replay the programme occasionally, and every time I hear the song, I became entranced with the melodious warmth of her voice. I stumbled upon this video by chance tonight, and the magic is complete. Thanks for sharing this memory of a pure and simple time with us!

Stationed in Bremerhaven, West Germany 1963-66, I heard this song on German radio and went down to a local record store and bought it. The flip side was "Sei un Bravo Regazzo". Still have it to this day. Beautiful song.
It is without doubt for me the best song that has ever won the contest. Gigliola performs it so beautifully and with such feeling.
